When you try it on your hand it doesn't look too interesting but then I see it on paper and WOW, that neon! That blue, so crisp, clean and beautiful, and the blend ability, the watercoloring it is great, perfect for experimenting, madness!
Thank you! I have Faber Castell gel stix on my Amazon wish list. It looks like the product is about the same but I LOVE the packaging for this! I wouldn't have thouht of using them in a palette.
Thanks for the review. I have Gelatos and have been told these are the same! but cheaper, they certainly act and look the same, I will definitely give them a try!
Thanks for the great show and tell. I too find it disappointing that these and the gelatos lack the purple family. Maybe FC will update with more colors later. I hope!
Terrific video...I only recently found Your channel and certainly appreciate the product reviews and tutorials you share. MANY TIMES, I have found products targeted for another consumer group that are MUCH less expensive than an identical product targeted to the crafting community. It PAYS to pay attention to marketing ploys. THANKS for sharing. ~BLESSINGS~
I loved it omg Thank u so much my mom bought these for me for christmas but i saw them as much as she wanted to hide them from me i dint know for what were these were used before chrismas came and i oppened it so yeah
These are so cool! They look great on the white cardstock. i wonder if they are the same as the gel sticks or a little different? The gel sticks are supposed to be the kids' version of gelatos from what I understand...Great idea to put the two dots on the bottom of the card so the person can color it in. TFS xxAmy
They are very similar to gelatos- perhaps a bit softer in texture and more limited colors. By the way, if you mix the neon blue and neon pink or the regular blue and the neon pink you get lovely purples.
find "Play Day " super gel crayons @ Walmart for kids = 12.95 for 24 with 2 purples and a lovely pink that match beautifully. Thank you so much for sharing .
So, do they ever become "non-blendable" Does adding water help. If I used them in a sketchbook, would they print on pages around them? I know oil pastels have this problem as well - would fixative help :) Thanks for the great video!
Thanks for the review! I was hoping you'd address the difference or lack thereof to the gelatos/gel sticks by FC. Also, how much do these go for n if there are more colors.... Not that I can't find out myself but if ur reviewing those things would be nice to include.
I like your how you were talking I like how you're being very kind and nice but we would love to you and make sure that CZcams video they're really stay positive video for a very long time that I've been awake for awhile and I like how you were like you showed us how you highlighted it you shouldn't have to blend it a show the other techniques but most people don't do that so this is wrong give me you I'm starting to channel and I am I give you a big comes up and I hope your channel gets if your cat gets a lot of other life because you are very nice person and I really like how you I really loved how you were showing us basic steps and I feel a little I hope I hope you get this many likes I hope
Have you seen a comparison video? I made this one of Gelatos & Distress Crayons- more watercolor crayon options to consider! czcams.com/video/GZRDOOLrJO0/video.html
I'm just surprised that these are water soluble, since the packaging is not described as such (or, did I miss something??). I just recieved my order of FC water color getl stix, for about 2x as much money.
i just bought a version of these from a band really nice brand called Maped. Here in Brazil we don´t have those faber castell yet. The Maped ones have the exact same packaging !!!!! The Maped ones also have a nice purple! =)
They are a creamy crayon, so I'm not sure what you mean by "dry." But if you water them down the water does evaporate and you are left with a dry surface. If they are applied thickly they stay blendable and creamy.
she says they're water based so they'll probably dry out if you leave them capless for a while or after you've had them for quite a while and they haven't gotten used (they'll probably get used by then though)
They are dry- but they will remain water reactive/soluable any time they come in contact with moisture. This could be water OR damp/oily fingers! So use a spray sealer to keep them from smudging.
Do you mean that facetiously? They are labeled for ages 3 and up, and are a part of the Red Range, which is specifically for children and young artists.
I just don't feel that these are childish like a crayola crayon. I've used them and love them ,and to be honest I don't think I would let my kids use them. (Way too messy)

Would never have thought of using these. Thanks
Wow. I will have to try them out!
Thanks for the great show and tell. I too find it disappointing that these and the gelatos lack the purple family. Maybe FC will update with more colors later. I hope!

Great video! I would like to know how they compare to Gelatos.
thx for vid and the info.
Could you show us how you use these gel crayons I'm not sure what to do with them.
great video
Are they any different to the Gelatos? They look quite similar.
they look very much like gelatos when used wet, i hope they make purple soon ;-) thanks for sharing

looks like fun
Thank I want to get some
How are these different from gelatos? Don’t know which to get?
I'm planning on buying these mainly for backgrounds on coloring pages.
Wonder how long they last.
i hope i can get them but unfortunately not all of the things are available in egypt
find "Play Day " super gel crayons @ Walmart for kids = 12.95 for 24 with 2 purples and a lovely pink that match beautifully. Thank you so much for sharing .
Can you provide a link for the water brush?
Interested in trying these. Where did you buy them?
i like it..
So, do they ever become "non-blendable" Does adding water help. If I used them in a sketchbook, would they print on pages around them? I know oil pastels have this problem as well - would fixative help :) Thanks for the great video!
Oil Pastels or stick usually have a film that can be peeled off-these do not. Once they dry up, they are useless.
Thanks for the review! I was hoping you'd address the difference or lack thereof to the gelatos/gel sticks by FC. Also, how much do these go for n if there are more colors.... Not that I can't find out myself but if ur reviewing those things would be nice to include.
Gavi, that is the subject of another video for April. :)
CraftTestDummies oh can't wait! :)
+CraftTestDummies I couldn't find the gelatos/gel sticks comparison video. Could you post a link to it? Thanks.

There are so many gel crayons, paint markers , etc that I would like to try. A
Amazon has everything, so I'll check them out

I have the maped ones they are fantastic, these are £48 on amazon, ridiculous price, carran d ache are cheaper!!!
I found my florescent colors have hardened ... dried out ... after a year or so. Not sure how to revive to the creamy texture
Dang. I think once they dry out, they are gone. :(
I’m going to go to blick arts and crafts in a few days
I’m looking for some more information about crafting and how you would like
Do these colours set after a period of time or will they always be susceptible to water? ie: will water damage a finished product?
Yes, it will always be water-reactive.
Is there a way to seal them? A spray sealer perhaps?
Hi, do you think I can write with those on a white board anr erase them?
No. They are really a gel-like crayon.
nice
Are these permanent if the color is used on fabric then ironed,?
Beverly Swanson I haven't tried that, but I doubt it. These were formulated to be washed out of fabric so that kids wouldn't stain their clothes.
Good grief...I need these! Any way you can "seal" the colors once you're done? Maybe a spray?
+KawaiiPinkPunkStar You can spray with a Krylon triple thick and it should cut down on bleeding.
+CraftTestDummies What else can I seal with that spray? (watercolors, acrylics, etc)?
Are these similar to the crayola slick stix?
+Tina Le I have both and I would say that they are similar. They blend well.
Yes- very much the same.
How are these different to Gelatos?
Charlie Archer I'm working on that video right now.
they're gel. which can dry out?
+Rose Ray (peetza) So... after having them for about a year, the silver was a little crusty on top- so I just scraped off the dry bit and it's good.
Do they need a sealer?
If you don't want them to be susceptible to smearing/water, then yes.
Looks like the sharpie gel highlighters
I believe Gel Highlighters are an INK...these are more of a "warm chapstick" consistency.
+CraftTestDummies No they mean the new highlighters that are made of this waxy gel, they are really cool, I own some and love them :-).
These are £48 on amazon gelatos are less expensive!!!!so are caran d ache these are a ridiculous price and I love FC
So that's basically a watercolor pastel??
I have never seen someone make so much out of a highlighter
Do these ever dry? Thanks.
They are a creamy crayon, so I'm not sure what you mean by "dry." But if you water them down the water does evaporate and you are left with a dry surface. If they are applied thickly they stay blendable and creamy.
+CraftTestDummies It means do the crayons themselves ever dry, you idiot.
+Ex Parrot don't be rude.
she says they're water based so they'll probably dry out if you leave them capless for a while or after you've had them for quite a while and they haven't gotten used (they'll probably get used by then though)
will they ever dry?
They are dry- but they will remain water reactive/soluable any time they come in contact with moisture. This could be water OR damp/oily fingers! So use a spray sealer to keep them from smudging.
CraftTestDummies thanks for the tip
when you love the casing more than the product
저거 우리나라에서 형광팬으로 사용하는건데....
Good happy😂😁
I loved your video! And you are so cute... Kisses from Brazil!!!
Who is watching it 1st January 2020
Where is purple?
Good question. Why don't they ever include a good PURPLE?
Scrumble? Lol 👓❤ and we know what you mean lol thanks
;)
"creamy" xD how is is creamy sorry im not an art person but plz someone explain ;D
The same way a lipstick is creamy or smooth.
I don't believe these are meant for kids.
U do a lot of time waste
More illustration on use of pens. No need to state the obvious. Box, size of pens. Useless information. Like watching water boil.
