The only thing the Premier League has over any other top 5 leagues is marketing and PR, they sell you that it’s “the best league in the world”
Well and having owners with unlimited amounts of cash. Financially there really is no question that the Premier league is by far the strongest. Quality wise it's not really much above Spain, Germany or Italy.

Because if man city win the EPL this season I will never agree that EPL is the best league
Not asking you also😂
I think that the PL is still the strongest league, but the gap to the Bundesliga, La Liga and Serie A is not very big. I think many people dreamed that their Premier League product would become a particularly strong league, far ahead of the rest. Like the NHL or NBA compared to Europe. But that is far from the case. On the contrary, the PL could fall behind again. There are the top 4 leagues in Europe, that won't change. Even if the PL constantly tries to stand out from the other 3 leagues with an excessive amount of money. It won't work and that's a good thing.
I agree. Main reason it doesn't work is because football is such a big sport that the player pool is so big, that many clubs over several leagues can field top tier quality. Other sports don't have this quantity and therefore it is easier to concentrate all the top talent in one league.

Even with cheats Premier can't put teams on the semifinal...imagine without the financial cheats
I refer you to 1976 to 1985 before the English ban and the Italians set the financial ball rolling. When Nottingham Forest could win the UCL European Cup in consecutive years and English football needed neither Sky money or foreign money. English clubs won more european trophies between 76 and 85 than they have since the premier league started.
It never was....
La Liga not only dominated the Champions League but also the Uefa Cup with all the Sevilla wins.
Premier league is just more globally more recognised and is richer. However it is second to La liga when it comes to talented players. In Europe, English teams more often than not have struggled to beat Spanish teams in the Champions league and Europa. Which is why Spain has more trophies in both competitions than England. Then there's a reason why the Balon d'or was won more by players that played in Spain than England. Another thing, all the Big 6 don't hold a candle to only two teams Real and Barca...
Well said.
The "Big 6" is a thing of the past, it's just Man City now.
There is no gap, they are EPL is not the best league
The second-leg semi-final is the most unpredictable in CL matches.
"Popular" does not mean best.. The PL maybe the most popular but time and time again the teams are found out in Europe. The english media love hyping up their players as world class but the fact is no "world class" player has ever gone to the Premier League. There are players that may become that in time (like Ronaldo) but they had to go to Europe to do it. The PL has had very few players who could claim to be the best in the world.
Last CL final at London 2013 was infact Bayern v Borussia.
Perhaps there is something cosmic happening !??
Probably yes. Plus, with Mbappe potentially joining Real Madrid, LALIGA will conquer Europe once more, just like what happened in 2014-2018.
It’s is, but it’s not a huge disparity, in terms of tactics & technique, in general terms squads in other league a probably more diligently coached on average
it's a good conversation to have but not on this basis of not having a team in the semis for the first time in year. i think that's the silliest point to have. outside that, the conversation would be great
Fundamentally the issue is with playing style, Man U play counter attacking at fast pace and direct, Sancho and Dortmund also play a counter attacking game but very different, they allow Sancho to have his showboating moment to get him going to be creative for Dortmund. At Man U that won’t be allowed bcus they play very different
People are getting the idea of what the best is wrong....its not about which league dominates more in europe....its about the games...there r a lot more blockbuster games in the pl than in other leagues....its a lot more entertaining....yes u can say tht man city win the league almost every year....but it has been only recent dominance like any other era in pl....in other leagues the same club has won the league a lot more in a row....nd it aint like the title is decided in January where they r like 15 points ahead in the pl....there is always a title challenger.....which tends to extend to the last day....
It's the Best Run that's for sure. All the money they have, brought talent, mercenaries and Oil rich buyers. Serie A and La Liga used to have the Flashy players and Managers at one point.

If the EPL has dominated Europe, then why are 5 Laliga teams nominated vs 4 EPL teams in the UCL? Simple answer is, they haven't.
If we break it down this season, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atleti and Sociedad qualified top of their groups with Sevilla dead last, whilst only Man City and Arsenal topped theirs with Newcastle and Man United both bottoming out.

I don't know if the EPL is the best in the world but Xhaka, Sancho and Kane are getting more success at German clubs after leaving their English clubs. Does this mean the Bundesliga is just a farmers' league? But the German clubs' progress in Europe compared to England seems to say otherwise. Well, this season anyway. Whatever it is, I'm sure these former EPL players are happier there now, at least professionally.
Sancho left a toxic United. Who have you seen succeed there for the past 5 years? Nothing against the club, but it appears they are a graveyard for players. Kane is yet to win a trophy. Madrid had 60+ injuries in 2021, but you didn't hear them complain. This year and last year Cama has been a makeshift LB, all their CBs have been out except Rudi, so they had to play Tchouameni as a CB, yet they're still delivering. I don't see how you can argue that it's the best league when they are unable to consistently dominate in Europe across all the competition levels.
I won't get into which one is better. Everybody has their taste on style language atmosphere etc. But Spanish clubs have the best results across all european and international club competitions than English clubs, 79 total titles vs 56 titles, And that's not even counting appearances in finals. So I'd say they definitely have proven to have better results if that means anything. The EPL is marketed more widely, so yay for them
The only one thing that epl has is lots of money. I don't think technically theh have the best quality of football over other leagues but they do pay a lot. And thats why many players would like to play in the prem.
Me, as a Bundesliga watcher, still thinks the Prem has the most quality per each squad and still is the most difficult league to win, no doubt. But due to the number of games they have with all these "unimportant" cups they slowly tire down and weaken their teams. That being said, in european competitions you'll always need more than just a squad that is worth alot of money. You need a TEAM, not individuals and you to have a high level of respect for the badge and the fans, so that's why many historic clubs will always have a certain advantage in Europe compared to "Spurs" or "Arsenal" even if their squad is valued less. Secondly, I do think Serie A and the Bundesliga are getting more and more interesting to the rest of the world again, even if they're maybe not as strong financially. To finish off my long statement, is it the best in terms of competition? Yes! Are they as dominating in Europe as their budget would suggest? No and I dont think they ever will be.😅
The premier league is the most money and is probably the most financially competitive league but that doesn’t mean the best league. It definitely had the most potential to be the best.
Technically it aint. European teams have better game management. Premiere league is played frantically and is physical. European football is slower and more methodical. English teams struggle when teams slow the game down so I don't think it is the best. But its the most entertaining

Best league is always subjective and you can make claims for all the top ones to be honest. Suffice to say though as a neutral I am more interested in watching Chelsea v Spurs tonight rather than yesterday’s UCL semi final between Dortmund and PSG because it will probably be more fun and not too dissimilar in quality.

@@badmusalameen4569 I watch other league's too, but I wouldn't watch a mid table clash from any other league part from EPL because of the quality of player is generally higher. With Bayer winning the German league and Dortmund possibly in the CL final, that would be a double whammy in the eye of Bayern, tee hee...
On the topic of Sancho I think he he needs to hold himself most accountable for his time at United so far. So Sancho has been given help and to be honest he has not recipcated.
Of course the prem is the best league in the world but the difference isn’t as big as it should be when you look at their financial advantage. A team doing well in the premier league doesn’t mean that it can walk over other European top teams.
Epl may be competitive but that comes at the cost of the national team only winning one major trophy since the 60s. Their league's best players and managers aren't even english. They(English) hate the germans becuase Germany is the most successful national team in Europe. 7 major trophies compared to englands 1. But they call germans farmers 😂. Bundesliga is for the fans and the national team cant say the same for England.
Bundesliga is not the best league in the world. Definitely not.
And that's not even necessary.
We haven't sold our soul yet. The fans still have something to say in the Bundesliga. Which was also the reason that neither Dortmund nor Bayern wanted to go to the ESL. The fans wouldn't have allowed it.
Honestly? Let the EPL be the best league in the world.
I would still prefer a game in Germany or Spain to a game in England at any time.
Why?
Because of the atmosphere and the passion of the fans.
Regardless, clubs like West Ham and Aston Villa and Newcastle will have more money than the other clubs.
Man utd won Under 17 won PL this season .. developing young player question was stupid.
Haha love it that the Premier League is now having a soul searching identity crisis 😂😂
It isn’t.
Our soul is perfectly fine clown
thank you! thank you all! 🤓
In total YES
Yes is the answer. Its the best , but not by much as many people think .Lets put it that way .Its not worth the money spend .They have spend more than the other 3 ( Bundesliga, Italian and Spanish la liga ) big ones for very little.
The truth is only Man City are a top team (arguably the strongest) though weaker than last season. The weakest Bayern in decades outplayed Arsenal.
Tbf, as much as I'm a Bundesliga fan and really dislike the oligarch money in the PL, they are objectively still the best league. Ultimately, it's impossible to compete with their spending power. Clubs like West Ham can easily outbid clubs like Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen, so in the long term we just can't compete.
Yes we can! 😊
Bro, BVB walked over Oil castle without conceding a goal Back to Back games.
Leverkusen thrashed west ham. We can compete. And also Klopp could be new dortmund manager. Ragnick rejected bayern job and now Bayern are connecting Zidane. Chances are slim but if they were true, there will be three Elite managers in german league
Don't bring Leverkusen to this thematic. New Leverkusen is from another planet and would defeat any PL team this year.
EPL is still number in the world. better, tougher, closer matches across the board compared to other leagues..
with the best players and managers overall across all teams.
Might be most entertaining but it’s not the best in terms of team quality and Europa success this year
Agree prems lower teams are fun to watch etc, but For me its up for grabs which is a good thing means more parody like were seeing now
The Prem is sort of like the WWE in a sense. It’s all money and entertainment. It’s market first. Absolutely everything else is lacking though from quality, fans, officiating, etc
@@Hello-wy2px facts, its like american sports, merely entertainment
@@Hello-wy2pxThey sold their souls to Americans and Oil states becuz they couldn't compete with LaLiga in the 2010s .. they became relevant by cheating
Did you not see Man City make the best non-English team in the world look like a 4th division team? Winning by a fluke PKs doesn’t stop the fact that Man City are a much better team than Real Madrid and still the best team in the world. The only reason English teams have done bad this year is because it was the weakest champions league qualifiers England has had in a long time Arsenal and Newcastle had no experience and this is the worst Man Utd team in years. Klopp’s arrogance eliminated Liverpool by him not picking his best team against Atalanta. What is funny in the Premier League’s worst season in Europe for a long time, they can still win a European trophy
Laliga has best organic football
Best players: Premier league
Most Money: Premier League
Quality of Football / Competitiveness : Premier League (although Man City are ahead from everyone else due to money and won 5 of last 6)
Best Referees: Not the Premier League for sure!
Most Success in European competitions 2023/24: Not the Premier League
Most Success in National Level (Euros, World Cup etc): Not the Premier League
Interesting debate, difficult to decide
EPL may not be the best in terms of winning the Champions league but it's more entertaining and open compared to other leagues.
The German hate in these lot is insane 😂😂 its literally a 50/50 game next week in Madrid between Bayern and RMA and RMA were more than lucky to escape with a draw at Alianz because Bayern dominated them. Yet they have Bayern already out and PSG in agaist Dortmund 😂 😂 PSG are notorious for losing in Paris they almost do it as a habbit 😂
It is debatable if EPL is the best in the world , but I personally think EPL Refs & VARs are one of the worst in the world . Thus , it cannot be the best til you get the ref mess sort out .
EPL spends more money than any other league. It has the best players and has the best quality. Every player would happily leave Dortmund in a minute for any epl team. A lot more money and a lot higher wages and better quality. Anyone saying leagues who can’t spend are better than epl doesn’t know soccer
What does that exactly mean, the best league? In terms of what? Most Champions League / European Cup wins overall? Participation in European finals? In the last 10, five or three years? Number of league winners overall, in the last 10, five or three years? Point gap between league winner and worst team? Point gap between league winner and best team not to be qualified for European competition? Revenue or global viewership? Number of Balon d'Or winners in the league? Number of international players? And to which degree does the performance of the national team play a role in that? Another measure? What does that mean, to be the best league? Is there a trophy for being the best league?
I think La Liga is the Best League in the world, then EPL comes in at number two, Serie A is third, Bundesliga is 4th, and 5th is debatable.
"best" is subjective, biggest is not, it's the premier League
I wonder if A.i will be able to predict winning teams every time in the future. What would happen to sports if every game could be known before it happens. 👽👾
In the span of 30 years, both Italy, Spain and Germany have had international success. Meanwhile England hasn't won anything in 60 years or so? If anything, its foreign players who carry the PL. Time and time again, the PL gets ridiculed in European competitions, what a joke. PL is and always will be overrated.
Like foreign coaches. They keep PL still on board. Imagine a PL with only British players and coaches....
It was never the best but the most competitive
