No way can you compare the 2. The united players put the effort in but quality let them down in the end. You're right about that one mate. I'm a Liverpool fan and we couldn't hit the broad side of a barn door this past month. Everton and Palace just to name a couple of teams, wrong time of the year for your goals to dry up. Then you start to rely on other scores. It doesn't work that way. At the start of the season numerous pundits, ex players and so called experts were all saying the same thing about villa having what it takes to do well in the league as well as Europe?? They all said we didn't have the squad to put up with the rigours and pressure of doing anything special in the league due to this, also many people were saying other teams like Newcastle, West ham and Brighton would most likely finish above us not to mention Chelsea coming back to the top!! Now after we have proved everyone wrong, it's all "let's see what happens next season" "it's a one time thing and it won't last" "other teams will be back because they have only had a bad season it'll be a one off!!
