I think Howe messed up with his starting 11. If all ready to go and on bench, why play over 1h with Joelinton, Almiron and Schar on bench? And why go back to Dubravka when you've got your number 1 Pope back on bench? This was a crucial game for Newcastle in the battle for Europa league, one they needed to win bad. And yet the 'brilliant' manager starts bench players over starters in 4 positions, including most importantly in goal. Now they got to win the last match and get some help to even qualify for Conference league. I really thought Howe was smarter than that. I mean, come on, Anderson over Joelinton? Bad management, go 4-4-2 late and push Joe in beside Isak, he used to be a striker u know. Couldn't afford to lose this match and the management team messed up. On the other hand congrats to Man U for finishing this horrendous season with an entertaining win in last home game. I knew Erik might get the win, he got well dressed again. Man U have a group of very talented youngsters and Bruno up front worked wonders. Well don, now do it again in fa cup final, once your Europe for next season is truly on the line.

Given the nightmare injuries United had for the whole season, I would rate Ten Hag’s season 6 out of 10. Yes, sure Ten Hag has his own fair share of blame himself which I hope he won’t repeat the same mistake coming next season if he is staying. EPL is a brutal league, only the toughest survives.
