Arsenal got 4 pts from two games vs City. Does Arteta/Arsenal regret not 'going for it' at the Etihad? NO! Stop asking these stupid questions. If Arsenal regrets ANYTHING this season, it should be losing twice to Villa - they should've won at least the home match but failed. You lose the title across the season and dropping pts vs teams below you, not when you face your challengers.

Apart from the really shadt business in the background they are the most complete team in the world (thanks to Guardiola converting his CB into basically fullbacks, they don't have a problem in that area anymore). As for city's Centrebacks, they have the most depth in that position ahead of everyone. Their midfield, well, its Pep Guardiola, the last problems he's gonna have is in midfield. Their attack just added in Jeremy but it might use another natural winger, I mean I know Grealish supposedly falls into that category but for me he's like Bernardo, a CAM given wingfield responsibilities, so he lacks the expressiveness wingers are supposed to have. And of course they got two splendid Strikers up top.
So apart from maybe a lack in Natural wingers (which doesn't seem to bother Pep much) this is very complete squad

    - below par individual performers (grealish, Diaz, Bernardo).

if you look at how much clubs spend vs the money they get from selling players City isn't even in the top 4, they have a MUCH smaller team than other clubs like Chelsea, or Tottenham, (9 players less than Tottenham for example), they frequently sell players with a profit, except Greaklish they have never spent 100 mllion or more, look at United for god sake !, CIty is good because they have the best coach, and the club is very well managed, and actually invests in young players !!, ok i guess they spend a lot on salaries, including peps, but they do NOT spend more money on players, last time i checked, in 2022, they were tenth !!

If Pep and City’s success is all down to money as haters keep repeating, why is Manchester United and Chelsea finishing behind Villa and Spurs? I remember in his first season in the EPL, clowns were saying he can’t dominate in England like he did in Spain, no one was talking about money but all of a sudden it’s now all about the money as if there was no money before his arrival at city. In all seriousness, Akanji’s error today that nearly lead to Son scoring was not an anomaly. He was a fantastic transfer value purchase and he’s generally a consistent player. But he’s also the player in City’s lineup of players who is always most likely to make an untimely error. And playing him in the middle like Stones does not work against elite level competition. That’s not to say Akanji is a bad player but I’d label him as a weakness in City’s side by their standards.
