      What truly defines, determines, and drives the spirit of freedom? She is paradoxical in that she isn’t free! Whee! 👹🎸

      The first form of the Bible was written in 325BC, 80 years before the Antikythera mechanism, and was called the Vaticanus Graecus, Son of the Divine Serpent, a reference to Fomalhaut, which is shaped like the all seeing eye, in Aquarius, the sign associated with John the Baptist, who was a Setian, the root word of Satan. Just as israel is the Phoenician word for Saturn, or El, Fruit of Isis and Ra.
      In the Second Century AD Astrologer Vettori Valentinus used the Vaticanus Graecus to construct a lunar zodiac of 13 months, this correlates to the 18.6/ 19 year Metonic Calendar, found in the earliest known ancient temples, the Bible, Antikythera mechanism, New Grange and the Bru na Boinne, the Chaldeans, Egyptians, Assyrians, Celts, Phoenicians, and inscribed into the Golden Enoch Horns of the Magi, the Eunuch Druid Priests of Cybel, or Kythera, the "Great Mother", (who also has 216 names) in Germany and France. A Druid took 19 years to train, and the Phoenix was associated with 19 flames.
      TLDR; the ancient metric system of time used by the builders of the Megalithic sites all over the world directly correlates to the Astrological Zodiac and allows for the surveying of the entire globe.
      It's worth noting our current system has 8,640 seconds in a day, just as the sun is 864,000 miles wide. Enoch also wrote 36,525 scrolls, which is 365.25 times 100, the Egyptian number of perfection, which allowed them to calculate things to the second decimal place. The Great Pyramid is a Calendar, based on the Metonic Cycle and the Zodiac, hence the association of Osiris with Orion, and Pleiades Isis, atop the back of Taurus, just as the Phoenician Princess Europa, who rode the Bull. The entire Mediterranean region was also mapped out according to key constellations, marked by these Megalithic structures, which themselves encode these numbers
      Other names for Isis include Semiramus, Aphrodite, Europa, Kythera, Cybele, and Cylene.
      The Byblos Baal, or Book of Baal is the Phoenician Almanac, a coded book of Astrological cycles used by the Priest Class of Egypt; the Phoenicians, to navigate the oceans. Phoenicians, Celts, Assyrians, Chaldeans, Egyptians and Jews all celebrated their New Year in September, the 7th month, the Sunsign of Ophiuchus, the Serpent Bearer, associated with the healing Gods, and marked by the first New Moon in the 7th month after the start of the Zodiac in Easter, when Ophiuchus is the East Star. In September the East star is Orion, aka Osiris, aka Set, Lord of the Dead. Hence the Aleph, and the Zayim, Alpha and Omega. It's also the Birthday of Jesus, and when he said he would return, at the end of the Age. It's reversed to keep the code secret, and written in metaphor so no one could know what was contained therein.
      It's an Enigma Code, literally.
      The Metonic cycle, in chronology, is a period of 19 years in which there are 235 lunations, or synodic months, after which the Moon's phases recur on the same days of the solar year, or year of the seasons. The cycle was discovered by Meton (fl. 432 bc), an Athenian astronomer.
      The Pyramid is also 230 metres square, or 235 Megalithic Yards.
      En-men-dur-ana (also Emmeduranki) of Sippar was an ancient Sumerian king, whose name appears in the Sumerian King List as the seventh pre-dynastic king of Sumer. He was said to have reigned for 43,200 years
      His name means "chief of the powers of Dur-an-ki", while "Dur-an-ki" in turn means "the meeting-place of heaven and earth" (literally "bond of above and below") Arc of the Covenant
      There are also 86,400 seconds in a 24 hr day. 24 minutes is 1440 seconds, times 100 gives us 144,000
      A list of ten kings was composed in Greece c. 280 BC by the Babylonian priest Berossos, and their reign totals 432,000 years. In the Icelandic Poetic Edda it is said that there are 540 doors in Odin's heavenly hall of warriors
      Five hundred doors and forty there are
      I ween in Valhalls walls;
      Eight hundred fighters through each door fare
      Where to war the Wolf they go.
      The war with the Wolf was the recurrent battle of the gods and anti-gods at the end of each cosmic round. Here we have 540 x 800 = 432,000. In the Mahabharata and Puranic texts, the cosmic cycle of four world ages numbers 12,000 divine years, one year corresponding to 360 human years for a total of 12,000 x 360 = 4,320,000 human years. This is broken down into yugas as follows:
      Kali = 432,000 years or 1200 x 360
      Dwarpa = 864,000 years or 1200 x 360 x 2
      Treta = 1,296,000 years or 1200 x 360 x 3
      Satya = 1,728,000 years or 1200 x 360 x 4
      The number 432,000 has been found in Europe (1100 AD), India( very ancient, and 400 BC), Mesopotamia (c 300 BC)in reference to a cosmic eon.
      At the moment of the Spring equinox (March 21) the heavens are never quite in the same position they were the year before, since there is an annual lag of 50 seconds which in the course of 72 years amounts to 1 degree (50" x 72 = 3600" = 60' = 1 degree) and in 2160 years amounts to 30 degrees or one sign of the zodiac.
      For instance, today the sun stands in Aquarius at the Spring equinox, in 1976 the sun stood in Pisces and in the time of Christ it was in Aries. This slippage is known as the precession of the equinox. Copernicus in 1526 AD calculated this same figure. We note also that the lag is 50 seconds/year or 1 degree in 72 years, 30 degrees in 2160 years, 360 degrees in 25,920 years or one complete cycle of the zodiac. But 25,920 divided by 60 gives 432. The ancient Sumerian calendar had five-day weeks or 72 x 5 = 360 days per year. But 360 x 72 = 25,920.
      The integer 1200 represents the sum of the years in India for a cosmic cycle. Now
      1200 x 201 = 241,200
      1200 x 380 = 456,000
      1200 x 360 = 432,000
      These numbers correspond to the Sumerian tablet list of ten kings who ruled for a total of 456,00 years, a second tablet which lists only eight of these kings with a total of 241,200 years, and Berossos' list.
      The Book of Genesis lists ten patriarchs from Adam to Noah and the Flood totalling 1656 years. In the Jewish calendar one year is 365 days. In 23 years plus 5 leap year days we have 8400 days or 1200 seven-day weeks. If we multiply 1200 x 72 we get 86,400 or the number of Jewish seven-day weeks in 1656 (23 x 72) years. Since the Babylonian calendar year was composed of 72 five-day weeks, then in 432,000 days there are 86,400 Babylonian five-day weeks. Then in 432,000 days there are 86,400 Babylonian five-day weeks (432,000/5). Thus the Bible concurs with the other lists as well.
      The earth's axis wobble that causes the precession of the equinoxes is given as 25,920 years. Divided by the ancient number called "soss," 60, which was used in calculations, results in 432.
      The Greek Ages also bear a close correspondence to the four Yugas of the Hindus: Krita-Yuga, Treta-Yuga, Dvapara-Yuga, and Kali-Yuga. Their method of calculation is described by Ullamudeian as follows:
      "In each of the 12 signs there are 1800 minutes; multiply this number by 12 you have 21600; e.g. 1800 X 12=21600. Multiply this 21600 by 80 and it will give 1,728,000, which is the duration of the first age, called Krita-Yuga."
      If the same number be multiplied by 60, it will give 1,296,000, the years of the second age, Treta-Yuga. The same number multiplied by 40 gives 864,000, the length of the third age, Dvapara-Yuga. The same multiplied by 20 gives 432,000, the fourth age, Kali-Yuga." (It will be noted that these multipliers decrease in inverse ratio to the Pythagorean tetractys: 1, 2, 3, and 4.)
      The Essenes studied the Mysteries of Pythagoras.
      His name means Heart (Bel) of the Serpent.
      The cycle of the Phoenix encodes the astrological calendar by which they removed 3 days every 630 years. This was expressed in a Pythagorean Triangle of Dimensions 216 by 630 by 666.
      6 x 6 x 6 is 216, there are 2160 years in an astrological age, and the Moon is 2160 miles in diameter. The solar metonic calendar using 60 6 day weeks produces 1 extra day every 216 years. There are also 216 Megalithic seconds in a day, and 216 letters in the name of God
      216 times 2 is 432, times 60 is 25,920

      Trump and Hitler literally come from the same town, Trump used Hitler's book of speeches _My New Order_ verbatim at his rallies. He has friends who greet him with a hail Zeus and click of the heels, his name in Gematria is _Messiah_ Baron is the same word as _Fuhrer_ denoting a Knight of the Holy Roman Empire.
      Donald (King) John (the Baptist) Trump (G.O.A.T) was born during a Super Wolf Blood Moon 7 days before the Summer solstice under Orion the Mighty Hunter, 700 days before the founding of Israel. He was inaugurated on the Centenary of the Bolshevik revolution and the capture of Jerusalem aged 70yrs 7 months and 7 days, he moved the embassy to Jerusalem on israel's 70th anniversary and lives on the 66th floor of 666ft Trump tower with a giant mural of Zeus on his penthouse ceiling. Seig hail is the Greek salute to Zeus, or the Sun. His Tropical Sunsign is Gemini, the Twins, but his Siderial sign is Taurus, his starsign is Capricorn but is really Serpentis, the Serpent Bearer. Biden is a Scorpio, aka the Scorpion King, who stings Osiris' ankle, in order for Isis to resurrect him in the form of Serpentis 13th Sunsign of the Babylonian Zodiac. MAGA is latin for wizard, and Klan wizards burn the Phoenician Sun God Symbol in illumination ceremonies aka pyre rites or Holocaustis, meaning "burnt offering" just like the burning of effigies at Bohemian Grove in the Cremation of Care Ceremony.
      The first form of the Bible, the Vaticanus Graecus was written around the same time as the Antikythera mechanism was built in 325BC. The name means Son of the Serpent, a reference to Hydra in Leo, and Fomalhaut in Aquarius, in the 3rd Century AD Astrologer Vettori Valentinus used the Vaticanus Graecus to construct a 13 cycle Lunar Zodiac. King Sigismund God King Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire (who commisioned the Rosslyn Chapel) gave Count Dracuul his name in 1431, it means Order of the Dragon, and Dracula means Son of the Dragon, so does Pendragon, Chertoff means Son of the Devil in Russian. The original name of the Templars was the Great Brotherhood of the White Serpent, and the Essenes were dedicated to interpreting the Mysteries of Pythagoras, whose name means Heart of the Serpent, a reference to Alphard in Hydra, called the Vermilion Dragon by the Chinese, the Constellation associated with the Phoenix, who appears on the Eastern Horizon at Xmas, when Osiris is at it's Zenith. Next to Orion is Pleiades, in the center of which is Alcyone, which sits at 33 degrees of the Zodiac.
      Trump shares his birthday with Osiris, St John, Aleister Crowley, and Aushwitz, and 14 days before his coup attempt Saturn, Jupiter, and Uranus shared a Great Conjunction in Aquarius, the brightest since it happened in Virgo, Beth Elam, House of Bread or Fruit in 7BC. He also watched an Annular eclipse on his birthday halfway through his first term. Israel is the Phoenician word for Saturn, or El, Fruit of Isis and Ra, Serpentis, or Eschmun, the Widow's Scion, Phoenician God of Healing, who became Apollo, Zeus of the Cave, a reference to Serpentis, which is shaped like a cave, and whose Scion was Asclepius, from whom we get the Caduceus. And before Eschmun it was Enoch, Hermes, and Thoth, who is the Son of Set, or Typhon.
      The Cave of Apollo in Cilicia and Delphi is also the home of Typhon, Tphens or Zaphon, the 100 Headed God, Hydra takes up 100 degrees of the Zodiac. It was Hermes Trismegistus who placed his Emerald Tablets inside the Arc of the Covenant, buried beneath pillars of Emerald and Gold. Those Pillars can only be found at the Temple of Melqart, in Tyre, which means Rock, and sits offshore of Urshu Shalom, City of the New Moon, the root word of Jerusalem. It is the first New Moon in September that marks Rosh Hashanah, the Egyptian, Phoenician, Jewish, Assyrian and Celtic New Year, marking the start and end of the Zodiac, the Alpha Aleph, being Taurus and Pleiades and the Omega, Isis. Between these sits Sirius, aka Thoth, from which the Syrians take their name. The Temple was built when Rameses II married Jezebel, the Hittite Princess from Sidon, which means Kingdom of the Fish, the Phoenician Symbol for fish is X, which became the Chi Rho, and later the Latin Exe. She was the Daughter of Hiram, who built the Tower of Babel for Pharoah, in order to meet the God of Moses. This marriage in 911BC marked the founding of the Neo Assyrian Empire. Their Son is Eshmun, the God of Healing, aka Baal, or Lord, Pan is the Slavic word for Lord. The Grotto of Pan can be found at Mt Hermon, which was considered a Grove, and where the head of Goliath is buried. Israel is currently building a Temple to Trump at the summit. Another name for Enoch is El Ashmunein.
      The Catholic Jesus is based on Melqart and Hercules, Tammuz, Apollo, his best analogy though is Dionysus, God of Wine, born to Zeus and Persophenes, who sits atop the Capitol building in DC, she's the wife of Hades/Zeus in the form of a Serpent, and Goddess of War, Pain Suffering and Death, aka Isis, Athena, Sekhmet, Kali, Kybele, Gebal, Gabriel, Mary. Her mother is Demeter, Goddess of Grain. Holodomor means pain offering, just like in Georgia in 33 under Stalin. 2021 marks 33 years to 2054, the 1000th anniversary of the Schism of Rome, when global average temperatures are set to hit plus 5 degrees celcius, at plus 2 we can't grow grain at scale and 9 billion people will lose 90% of their food supply.
      Methane from Beef farming makes up 52% of all greenhouse gases, and is 90% subsidized. Banning Beef subsidies could stall climate change overnight, but guess who runs the Beef Racket...
      Oil giants Shell and BP are planning for global temperatures to rise as much as 5°C by the middle of the century. The level is more than double the upper limit committed to by most countries in the world under the Paris Climate Agreement, which both companies publicly support. Oct 27, 2017 (BP and Shell expecting catastrophic 5°C global warming by 2050)
      The founders of the CIA, FBI, DC and the designers of the Pentagon were all Catholic, so too Tucker Carlson, Beck, Hannity, Spicer, O'Reilly, Ingram, Pence, Hawley, Blasio, Manafort, Prince, Devos, Kavanuagh, Barrett, Gates, Fauci, Abbott, Manchin, Comey, Rogan, Jones, Dore, Kulinksi, Rubin, Pool, Peterson, Dice, Cernovich, Crowder, Molyneux, Fuentes, Yilanopouse, Pompeo, Spencer, Bolton, Abrams, Stone, Desantis, Bezos, Cuomo, Pelosi, Biden, Maddow, Hayes, Cooper, Collins, Rubio, Cruz, Gutfeld, Mattis, Richardson, Ryan, Huckabee, Gingrich, Sessions, Guiliani, Flynn, Bannon, Barr, Christie,, Richardson, Melania, Kelly, Conway, Gionet, Johnson, May, Blair, Thatcher, Trudeau, Merkle, Tusk, Farage, Morgan, Cowell, Ventura, Bolsanaro, Putin, Posobiec, Corbett, Robinson, Woods, Icke, Camp, Duke, Kirk, Watson, Iverson, Ball, House. 7/9 Supreme Court Justices are Roman
      Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, Trotsky, Orwell, Freud, Johnson, and Trump all come from Vienna Bavaria capital of the Holy Roman Empire. Pro life is a foundational Roman tenet.
      Mayer Rotschild sent sons to establish banking operations in London, Paris, Vienna, Frankfurt, and Naples. Baron is a title given by the Holy Roman Empire, it is also known as Fiehrer, or Fuehrer.
      Baron (Baron and Fuehrer are the same title) Mayer Amschel Rotschild (1744-1812), was a court factor to the German Landgraves of Hesse-Kassel in the Free City of Frankfurt, Holy Roman Empire, who established his banking business in the 1760s.

    Worth it to the end. I love this part (paraphrased i was typing and listening): Not just fire of the forge, but also the fountainhead of all arts and crafts. The unity of science and art is at core of the myth of Prometheus. We need to cultivate aesthetic sensibility, use technology in poetic ways. Not in alienating and instrumentalizing. Use it as expansion of the creative capacity of humanity. Don't lose sight of that as we're entering the crucible of the technological singularity. We must be more artful than ever before, having technology as a tool of liberation and empowerment, rather than an instrument of dehumanization.

      @@0752756949 I believe professor Jorjani is talking more along the lines about mythological archetypes and motifs. As far as I'm aware Lucifer is not even a real character in the Bible, and that it was Gregory of Tours that was the first to trump him up as a direct adversary against mankind and God as well as a present entity. What Jorjani is talking about is the re-interpretation of the "romantic Lucifer" akin to that of Goethes Faust or Milton's Paradise Lost, as being a re-imergence of the Promethean ideal and human drive. But overall its clear that medieval Christian theology and religion did not have a clear stance or answer to the "Devil" figure, which you are right to point out is trickster archetype going back as far back into prehistory.

      Athena is Cretan in origin and was a Goddess associated with serpents, fruits of wisdom and special trees. Sometime after the Trojan war, the myths and attributes of pre-Achean-Hellenic deities were altered. Athena was once venerated alongside Neith and Medusa. So from being an ancient Goddess of wisdom indeed, Athena is portrayed as a patroness of warfare, and one who arranges for the decapitation of her sister Goddess. Now if you compare the Caduceus to the head of Medusa things become even more obvious - some men don't like the idea of primal female deities, especially those linked to sacred trees, serpents and apples. The Hellenic Greeks also made up a play wherein Athena supports the right of men to commit matricide. Not everything is always as it seems.

      I'm not so certain. This perspective is undoubtedly novel to anyone coming from a society constructed on the framework of Abrahamic religions - essentially all Western cultures. However, there are some important considerations that must be taken into account.
      It may be best to begin with a simple, but often overlooked aspect of duality. The basic premise is that of pairs of opposing qualities, but beyond this dichotomy, there is a central unifying concept. When we designate something as being hot or cold, for example, the quality we are actually describing is temperature. Hot and cold are the polarities of what is actually a range. Our binary classification of something is typically an oversimplification. In reality, temperature can fall anywhere along that gradient and the hot / cold dichotomy is often used in a relative sense.
      Likewise, the Promethean paradigm is an extreme at one end of the spectrum. From the Garden of Eden to Atlantis, these stories end in consequences. Their purpose is to impart a lesson - maybe warning would be the better word here. The acquisition of knowledge, ultimately, ends in calamity. We could potentially write this notion off as the authoritarian nature of deity, intending to suppress humanity to a state of servitude. However, there is an abundance of evidence to the contrary - not evidence to support the benevolent actions of a higher power, but rather that demonstrates our own inclination towards destruction.
      Time and time again, scientific breakthroughs have been weaponized. We discover quantum physics and immediately come up with the atomic bomb. Most people aren't aware, but the modern mobile phone is entirely a product of the military industrial complex. From WiFi, to GPS, to the high-res digital camera - all are technologies developed through DARPA projects for the armed forces and intelligence agencies. They were all classified at one point and only came to the civilian market when an improved version was adopted.
      Humanity is capable of atrocity. Knowledge and technological advances have only proven to enhance that capability. We have to consider that there may have been legitimate reason why certain things were kept from us. It may have been in our best interest... for our own protection and well being. Human ingenuity and innovation is contrasted by an equally formidable destructive force.
      Freedom must always be tempered with a sense of duty. Power given to those who cannot wield it responsibly can hardly be considered a gift. "Everything in moderation".
      Science has become more dogmatic than any faith and just as susceptible to corruption. The decline of religion in the West has only made way for a rise in degeneracy... hedonism... nihilism... The secular world provides no system of values to replace the ones it has usurped. What humanity needs now is spirituality. A purpose, something greater than itself to strive for. Duality has a fixed principle, represented as balance, forces at rest. It also has a dynamic principle, where those opposing forces are active and in flux. Both are necessary for the universe to function as it does.
      The way forward lies along the central path, the Middle Pillar. While the future is the realm of infinite possibility, the past contains the collective wisdom and hope of humanity. We can't dismiss tradition as antiquated and obsolete, lest we be unprepared to face unknown horizons. Both sides must be integrated to know the whole. After all, even chaos is bounded by the structured system of probability.

    What Dr. Reza Jorjani misses about the Christian mythos is that Jesus himself is a tragic hero, undone by his own hubris. In the synoptic gospels we read of Jesus's triumphal procession into the city of Jerusalem, which was a message sent directly at Rome that the King of the Jews is here to take his throne, and his direct action at the Temple, which was both a message sent to Jehova that "we Jews don't need to sacrifice for sins" AND the insurrection that is mentioned in Mark 15:7. For those actions alone Jesus HAD to be nailed to a cross and get crucified (f***ed) by it - Seneca Minor, _Moral Epistles_101.10-14.
    Yet Jorjani is also correct about the legalistic Jesus who requires painstaking compliance with the Torah, and the gnostic Jesus who says, "Don't worry about the Torah, just live by the spirit and the Law will take care of itself," and "Be pacifist; God will take care of things and set them right." Neither of those two Jesui has any room for the rebellion and self-determination of the Promethean direct action Jesus. And he's right about Christianity being social engineering through cognitive dissonance, only the dissonance is 3-way, not 2-way.
    Conclusion?
    Christianity is organized schizophrenia.

      @josephpercy1558 Před rokem +2

      Absolutely agree with your comment that Jesus is basically a tragic hero - Prometheus 2.0. But he's not "undone by his own hubris." Jesus' death on the cross is fulfilled according to Pauline theology because Jesus was in submission to the will of the Father - and that took a measure of humility.
      I don't agree that Christianity is "organized schizophrenia." In a Promethean fashion it's a mixed bag because its kerygma (or mystery) is _provisional._ That is, the Revelation evolves in a dialectical manner over the centuries, because its own essence is intrinsically ad infinitum metamorphoses, like the butterfly, or the snake that sheds its skin.

    Huge fan of Jorjani. Although, I'm a bit critical in his appraisal of Christianity. I see institutional orthodox Christianity (historical origins in Nicean Creed) as a dialectical tool used by the Promethean impulse, seeded by the actions of a certain emperor, Constantine the Great - an avatar / companion of Sol Invictus, who was equated with Mithras by the Romans. This was the break from the Olympian order of Late Antiquity. We have record of Christian zealots literally pillaging and vandalizing pagan temples and statues, effacing gods with precision, intentionally smashing out the eyes, noses, mouths or ears of various god statues. They were never 'pacifist' as Jorjani claims. Under the early Christian state (ca. 4th century onward), mobs of Christians of various stripes - including "gnostics" were allowed to go around vandalizing pagan shrines - because this, again, was an all-out war against the traditional gods. See scholar Larry Hurtado's _Destroyer of the gods: Early Christian Distinctiveness in the Roman World_ for more detail. If you also read Tom Holland's _Dominion_ you'll see how our modern world has internalized Christian mores to such a degree - and was so radically different from the paradigms of the ancient world - that we as secularists take for granted this kind of radical consciousness. As much as historic Christianity is a mixed bag (being tainted significantly by regressive impulses) it was still radically Promethean enough for the ancient world to evolve its collective consciousness into the medieval age. It went thus from the medieval into the early modern, and then to us. Now we are on the verge of reintegrating the occult Promethean impulse and need to transcend the fossilized and regressive 'Christian' paradigms, even in the secular mind, which especially dominates the modern arts and sciences.
    I would also contend with Jorjani in that we need to _transcend_ Prometheus himself. And this is hinted at by Jorjani in the video. But I don't think the implications of this are fully realized. By transcending the Promethean impulse, this means we are also reintegrating into our collective consciousness the _delimiting principles of the gods_ (who are simultaneously in Neoplatonism, "masks" of the One). The gods were known as the "pillars of the cosmos" - filling it up with supports - like a big temple. But the traditional ( e.g. Greek "Olympian") gods _were also subject to Fate_ (fatalism). Even the almighty Zeus was not above it and could die - especially vulnerable to old age if not constantly replenished by the deathless (immortal) apples of the Hesperides. Following Prometheus is only part of the necessary evolution; we have to transcend the Tragedy - the tragic hero impulse - because hubris is always the downfall present in one of his aspects, Menoetius, and is also a major flaw with the gods - which always tends toward conflict and violence between each of them, including humanity (per the traditional mythic tales). The gods, according to the Neoplatonists, namely Sallustius, shows us how the gods fail and abuse divinity so we can learn to mediate properly (create balance; creativity) between them and their opposites. The Kabbalist Sephirotic Tree of Life illustrates how we balance these opposites between what Rudolf Steiner, for example, calls the Luciferic and Ahrimanic impulses. So yes, while I agree with Jorjani that the Luciferic / Promethean impulse is key to the evolution of human consciousness, an excess of it can be incarnated which is potential for real evil. Metaphysical excess is the nature of evil.

    • @The-Aion
      @The-Aion Před rokem

      Genius. I love the thought of transcending Prometheus/ Lucifer. Dante tells of Lucifer as an unfortunate victim of his own righteousness. I see the Satan part of Lucifer as the biggest victim in existence, who sits down in the coldest reaches of existence, forever justifying his actions. Also despairing at his schismatic act of separation from God. Was it necessary? Maybe. Yet I think the downfall of both deities is the true lesson, that for all of our justifying, righteous indignation it isn't enough to satisfy. They pulled themselves away from spirit, but the notion is "all can be saved". These characters, like us, portray a need to not be released through our self righteousness, but to be released through redemption. Redemption involves insight, and an acknowledgment that better decisions could and can be made.
      We as a society are at this stage right now, caught somewhere in between the will to Purgate, and the loop of forever justifying our misfortunate decisions.

    • @josephpercy1558
      @josephpercy1558 Před rokem +2

      @@The-Aion Yes, there are some people with the Promethean mentality who think they are justified by morally propelling themselves through Dante's Hell of their own minds, affecting other people in the process through their behavior. They may have very good intentions in mind (i.e., help in the transhuman project to achieve the technological singularity) but cause people to suffer (perhaps with the intention of indefinite suffering) in order to bring this 'good' to fulfillment. The Buddha would tell this Promethean hero, "You forget one thing: the blowback of Karma when and after you're dead."
      Or you'll see Karma's law in effect on a grand scale at the eschaton. The Ragnarok. This was Odin's lesson. He achieved creating a Promethean-like Übermensch in Sigurd (read Wagner). But Sigurd of the Volsung clan, the World-Hero, still turned out to be somehow vulnerable to Fate - after bathing in the dragon Fafnir's blood, a leaf fell and clung to him before all of the immortal dragon-heart blood was able to cover his body. That spot where the blood didn't cover him, he was later slain by the warrior, Hagen.
      All of these myths show us how there are always cracks, vulnerabilities in the metaphorical armor of the Promethean World-Heros. We need to pay attention here, most certainly.

    Okay, after listening to the whole thing I must conclude this man is quite foolish. And I’m surprised any scholars take him seriously. He has the entire myth of Prometheus wrong. Just as he’s wrong about: Achilles mother (Thetis not Themis) Zeus raping Themis and marrying her to Peleus (nope!), that all heroes are demigods (nope!), and that Zeus and all the gods hate human advancement. And also, why fire and torch bearing are part of the Greek games. He’s wrong about all of it. ALL OF THIS.
    In the Prometheus myth, Prometheus cheats because of his brothers mistake. If he hadn’t stolen fire, maybe Zeus could’ve corrected the mistake. HE screwed up. His brother left us without our attribute. And instead of truly fixing us he gave us fire as if that fixes it when it never did and was a poor imitation of the gift we should have had. He was punished because he cheated us.
    Then he made things even worse for us by fooling Zeus with the sacrifice. We would’ve had it better if he hadn’t cheated us again. He used us to play a trick in Zeus just so he could consider himself clever. He sold us out twice.
    What we were meant to be was stolen from us by Prometheus. He isn’t our savior. We were meant to be divine. We are from that branch per the mythology and he ruined it. Now we have to die to be what we were meant to be. That’s what Prometheus did to us. That’s why he was punished.
    Zeus saw that when we, who are imperfect now because of him, when we imperfect ones have fire, we could use it to make crowns for ourselves but also chains for our brothers. We could make war instruments and kill each other. And even this planet which all the gods enjoy. Our having fire before we were ready was Prometheus being a dick and sacrificing our future for his brother. Who died anyway.
    And our thinking that our “fire” can save us from anything is our stupidity. Look at medicine. Modern medicine makes us sicker. No antibiotic we’ve ever synthesized is as good as tea tree oil. We will never be better than nature. And our deciding to strip it bear and burn it down is us proving we can be truly evil.
    If you listen to this crap, you fall deeper asleep. You get more prideful. You don’t wake up.
