Ram Mount Copy Parts - Why Not To Use

This is the shorter version of the film that details how a copy of a Ram mount caused an accident.
Note the bike shown is not the one involved, it is a demonstration of where the satnav ended up.
[EDIT] following the making of this film the knock-off parts were tested with a home-made rig and a force of appx 178 N pulled the arm from the ball with the arm wingnut tightened as far as possible.

Buy cheap and pay twice. I know because I bought a ram type mount off Ebay that turned out to not be "RAM" Your expose of the dimensions and faults is very well done.

@brockett - As always, thanks for the comment. A slightly longer version will be out on Friday. I was surprised when I looked at the difference that the copy is almost designed to fail compared to the genuine one.
