You go elwood. Y'all are doing an awesome job and including good ole dusty in the mix was great. R.I. P. Dusty. You will definitely be missed. We were hoping that you might stay around for a spell, but god had different plans. Zz top rules
It's hard to replace someone who's been a signature member of a band for over 50 years. I'm sure the Rolling Stones feel the same way about Charlie's replacement.
Billy always tells tall tales. I'm quite sure Dusty's vocals on the last couple of tours had all been pre-recorded (and 1/3 of Billy's vocals too). He was losing strength before we really noticed it. Some clips expose the lip-syncing. They weren't lucky to have that recording... they had been using it for a while now. That said, it IS a nice idea to frame it as a tribute to him now.
At last someone says that. Most people don't realize this stuff, even when two guitars are sounding. And to play those tracks yoo need the band tight to a click... I don't like this approach to live music.
Billy’s been using the studio vocals from “Legs” for a long time now. I’ve seen them 3 times 2012, 2016, and 2018, as well as having their Live In Texas album from 2006. I swear each time it was the exact same, lol. They always put on a great show though
@@robbasso893 You're completely right. One of the biggest ZZ fans I know says Legs and Pincushion were *never* sung live, and I've seen a comment on YT alleging the same about Sharp Dressed Man - except for a TV show performance.
@@progmeup not that it matters a rat's nut, but I saw Sharp Dressed man live with no track help. I looked for, listened for the track help. Still I am glad they still tour.... This was in Dallas area.
Playin' bass with a pick? A standard presicion bass? It doesn't match color with guitar? 🙄🙄🙄🙄 I starting to miss that sound which made me fall in love of p bass 51's.
They do a GREAT JOB! Nobody is lip syncing every concert. Why does this younger generation want to be so negative Relax and have a good time! 🤠👍 Life is too short to bitch about every little thing. Majority of the so-called big new ax play backup tracks to help their songs all the time and they do it once for Dusty and people have a freaking heart attack!
Dusty wanted elwood to take over the low end so that’s good enough for me plus he has been with the group for a long time and billy don’t take anyone on to fill his band mate and friend for 50 years
It's cool that their long-time guitar tech is helping Frank and Billy finish ZZ Top's current tour.
He fits right in-but everyone knows Dusty is irreplaceable
Pretty sure Elwood is here to stay
He has 0 stage presence though 😂😩
@@vincegedeon6583 Ahh but with Dusty's vocals playing- he was probably trying not to take any limelight. Right?
@@vincegedeon6583 he has never been in front of this many people. It will take a while but he will loosen up with time.
We will never forget you Dusty
His music lives for eternity

Nobody can replace Dusty Hill
Billy is most badass but chill rocker I've ever seen. Such a cool guy!

It's enough to make a grown man cry RIP to the most badass bass player in Rock N Roll he may be gone but his music will live forever
What a Great Tribute to Dusty !
Great blues man, rest easy dusty 🤠
Outstanding! Thanks for sharing! Love live the blues! Chicago shoutout!
This is amazing. I hope they do this for the rest of their career
I'm going to see them in September in Maryland twice with Lynyrd Skynyrd 🎼🎶🎵🎸🎸🎸🥁🎤
Shame they don't do it more often.
Got to get to meet ZZ Top Many Times There Just like Us 🎸🎸🎸🎸

@@EdubertoPalitroke It'll be interesting to hear the upcoming live album from Gruene Hall, where I think they had none of their usual gimmicks.

Please give the new guy a hat..
Crazy hair.
He's into punk rock, even though he was Dusty's bass tech
still luv that the drummer has no beard other than in his name.
After that first ending seconds in, Elwood played the wrong note lol...he sharped it!

so fucking sad :(
In my opinion Elwood's bass playing/sound does not have the same power/bottom than it was with Dusty.. does not sound good, sad to say...
Tush had vocals from Dusty's last show
Yes, but bass does not sound very good with Elwood...somehow lazy...
