What’s really amazing is, they’ve being playing these songs for almost 50 friking years. 50,,, Years,,,,and still do it with a fresh enthusiasm. Think Elwood has helped re light the fire, I’m 100% sure he’s the reason for the new found interest.😊
Alchemy between the 3 of them is amazing live. He is well incorporated in the band.
Remember my sister taking me with her and her boyfriend to Flores country store in helotes Texas to see ZZ Top when they were playing there. I had to be maybe 10-11 years old………words can’t describe it, was awesome and have a huge fan ever since
First heard of ZZ Top in 77. I was 14. Had all the albums up to 81. 61 now but will always be a diehard fan.
Great performance! ZZ Top still brings it live. Enjoying this classic in Paris!

Indeed! But then, you need to have a drummer who knows how to be interesting and fresh, which is the case with Frank Beard.
I saw them in 2011 and remember being gobsmacked by their sound!

Watchin' Billy playing sucb an over-abused song is still impreeisve. He plays his solo's like he's playing an harmonica-a 5th down, in blues scale
