OMG, law and order just had everyone at the beginning of their careers! What a great show this was!
RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman
Shorty4454 a lot if the actors moved on to The Good Wife
And Gil Bellows
That’s him didn’t recognize him
It's a pity we didn't see Ally McBeal in an episode.
@Vervalicious fentanyl changed everything for people that use. Lot more people I know are way, way more careful with who they deal with and what they use now. Very sorry for your son.
I mean making the case shouldn't be hard without the kid, one of the others tried to murder someone in the middle of the court room, that doesn't exactly scream innocent
not to take this too seriously but that’s probably not admissible evidence!
@@thatguykalem Lol, you don't have to admit it as evidence, there's not a world where the jury doesn't find out about it and then it's over
@thatguykalem ,
Defendant: "I'm 17"
Me, a 17-year-old: "Yea, sure you are"
I was just thinking this, 17?! More like 24 minimum lmao
That dude is clearly like 30 😂
He's seen things.
He was 22. He could pass for 17
@@sergejisd 17-22 is five years of aging. He looks like a young adult, not a teenager.
Somehow, I had a feeling one of them would grab the bailiff's gun.
I can’t believe Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Samuel L. Jackson were in this episode from season 1.
@Kevin McDougall read the credits at start @1:57
And Gil bellows
HajimeNoJMo What Year is this?

David Hernandez Thanks 🙏🏻
I’ve always enjoyed the old school Law and Order. That first season was friggin dynamite.
Samuel L. Jackson and Phillip Seymour Hoffman...what a supporting cast for this episode
"All sizzle and no steak" I dont know why that made me laugh so hard XD
"You know what they say: You don't sell the steak, you sell the sizzle." Kramer, when he "works" in that office.
Can't believe this series was a quarter of a century ago. I remembered watching it on TV.
The judge in the beginning was in that Colonial Penn commercial with the change jar that used to air on TV all the time.
Man, it seems like everyone got their start on Law & Order.
damn. this should be enough to show who the actual bad guys were.
I actually went to Huntsman College of Law and passed the BAR in three states. The folks here saying they know law are CRAZY!
Which states and when? Passachusetts? Some states very easy.
Adam as D.A is my favorite character in history
I like Fred Thompson as D.A.
Now, I am a huge fan of L&O and have watched every episode in 20 years... but have you ever watched one of these clips and thought to yourself, "Wait a minute... what episode was that?", haha.
Been doing that the whole time
They always say in the description. That being said, yeah, I'm guilty of asking that.
WOW! A young Philip Seymour Hoffman!
2 bright defendants, there. Wouldn't their outbursts in court amount to a confession.
Actually it could easily play the other way, at least recounted to those who weren't there.
And not sure if it's actually admissible in the trial.
Well the jury definitely isn’t going to forget it.
@@aletheab8630I don't think you have a jury on a motion to sever before the trial comences, though I'm no expert on New York criminal law.
This is when i liked Law & Order Richard Brooks Ben Stone Chris Noth & Adam Schiff. Seasons 1 through 5
Samuel L. Jackson was in this episode? Cool!
Where
@@Arisse3466 Good question???
Look how young phillip Seymour Hoffman is!!
I assume the motion to severe was granted after that outburst in court
That's what happens when you kids hang out with loser friends. Happens all the time.
hoffman is so young it blows my mind!
lisa lahey Such a ginger! Always thought he was a blonde.
Robinett could Rock that Flat Top Fade 🧑🏾🎓👊🏾
Yeah he could.
every actor is just one degree from kevin bacon or law and order.
Between people with one onscreen line to the longest serving cast members, hundreds of people have been on the original Law & Order.
And he said he got into Shawshank from stealing. He fooled everyone.
If you're wondering why prisoners always have some form of restraints on in public, that courtroom scene is why. It's also why some courthouses don't let their bailiffs carry guns, but I disagree with that.
I agree with you on all but last part. After all why wouldn't tasers be enough?
@@EvilLoynis Tasers sometimes don't work or misfire or don't work in time and they can't go full Street Fighter on a suspect to restrain them AND they can't have guns cause they don't want them to kill a defendant by mistake. It's all a lose lose situation so they just go with restraints and grapples.
Rip Philip Seymour Hoffman
1:18 why they looking at him like that
Thank you 😊
Wow the cast!!
Haha doesn't he want his hallelujah??
Gil Bellows and Philip Seymour Hoffman? Still blown away how many big names started as little fish in this series.
He's a long way from Billy in Ally McBeal.
Thank you. I was trying to place him!!
@@makeupchick9544 No probs.
In reality another Baliff would have likely shot him immediately, not tried to play hero.
I remember the show years ago when I actually used to try to see it when it was on TV, but as life goes on c’est la vie
Love to know the ending -
They were able to take the victim through hypnosis and it helped them identify the attacker who matched the semen sample. The detectives were able to trick the other co-defendants into admitting on tape that the other attacker was involved and he was convicted.
@@mikeg8375 So, what was the one guy afraid to Tel DA and his own lawyer?
@@sandrasharp2934 he was afraid of telling who the 4th attacker was. He was a scary gangster type and the kid was afraid of him.
@@mikeg8375 gotcha. Thanks
How in the hell did he get one of the guards guns? Wtf?
It's Dusty from Twister 🌀.
And Tommy from Shawshank Redemption.
Right on bailiff!
Finally
Woah did that credit say Samuel L. Jackson?
Yes it did. He played an attorney if memory serves.
When he got the gun he did not point it at anyone just waved it in the air. I think the court room out burst was staged but why.
Because it’s a fucking show?
the scared kid in the cheap suit at 0:35 looks just like channing tatum
1991 Philip Seymour Hoffman's only appearance on the show.🤩🤩🤩🤩
I love that haircut

The kid playing Ryan looks familar
I noticed Phillip Seymour Hoffman (which got him Scent of a Woman I’m sure) And one was Tommy in Shawshank
They had DNA back then?
Dude I heard Samuel L jackson but I thought I was just being racist but naw the opening credits it really was samuel jackson it looked nothing like him 😂 one of my favorite actors
Law & Order does have opening credits of the main cast. Richard Brooks is the actor playing the deputy DA.
Sam Jackson is in this episode
Sam Jackson is in this episode but he doesnt appear in this clip. That's Richard Brooks
LAW & ORDER:SVU did this episode. But the victim was killed by a bomb.
god I wonder how many times Mariska Hargitay has spoken the line "she was raped" in the history of that series. I'm kinda surprised she's still there, I'd think playing that role in that kind of world would really wear on you after awhile (plus just to do SOME kind of different work as an actor)
Which episode?
@@lnlkl428 The one where Munch befriends the reporter. In the end, the guy who sent her the bomb has a confession that is up there on the creepiness factor.

I watch this one tonight
Deep Episode
Good no wonder Stone’s son hated him so much
Don't think you understood what happened here. what did you expect Stone to do?
S Kael he has not compassion he just cares about winning
S Kael he didn’t care about the truth he cared about getting his conviction. Oh and he attacked the victim
@@turtleking7772 he was showing what happens to those who are either defendants witnesses, alibi givers or victims especially victims who have to face their accusers lawyers in court.
Repressed memories are crap.
anyone else notice a black security guard managed to take down an armed white kid without murdering him?
That dude is a butler instead of a assistant district attorney.
What are you talking about?! 🤔🤔🤔
That part @ 1:36 when he reaches down into her handbag to remove the push up bras and the edible panties and he pulls out the gun instead was completely unexpected.
