- This started as a little Sunday in the life of ex-pats who live in Ciudad de la Costa, Uruguay, and ended up being a little insight into the cost of food in the country. We went to the local farmers market, and then into the city to go to the asian grocery store.

One quick question (because I see someone else has asked the second question I want to know): Do the neighborhoods/barrios/districts of Ciudad de la Costa vary much, or is one pretty much the same as the other? Is there one that's sort of outstanding?

wowo without a doubt Uruguay is very beautiful!!!! maddie, have you found out about working in zonaamerica or in the other free zones of montevideo and canelones? There are several companies that only speak English, although you seem to speak Spanish very well, as I told you, Spanish is very easy, much more than English- Success!

I would also like to know more about Vida Sana. My wife is Chinese, so Asian cooking ingredients from China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan are important for her, as well as Vietnam and Thailand. I realize you may not answer this directly in the comments, but instead in future videos, so I hope you'll have time to mention that store from time to time. I'd seen it before, but I couldn't get a feel for what all they stock. Also, what kind of tofu is that (I've learned there are many kinds), and how do you prepare it? Thanks!

Hi Brie, yes you can definitley do that kind of work here, and I would love to talk to you more because there are some things you should know! If you have the time I would really suggest booking a consult, because I would love to sit and chat to you personally and offer you all of the advice i wish i had BEFORE arriving, to make the transition much smoother. Same question. But I'd also like to know how Ciudad de la Costa is being affected. You didn't mention it in your video at all, so I'm thinking Montevideo is being hit harder.
It must be a problem living in a city with a drought emergency.....
What is there to do for entertainment? Are there movie theaters? Venues for concerts? comedy clubs? Major/popular television shows? How's the economy? Sorry for the many questions. I'm fascinated with learning more about the country. lol
