I have a bunch of extra footage I was meaning to do something with, but I dont have the luxury of it being green screened like you had. Is it still possible to crop out a subject like you did? I imagine I will need to use a 'lasso' type tool. Any advice? Thanks!

    thanks a lot I´ve been using preseted tenplates like double exp generator and double exp machine and its allright but doing it freely is really cool also, just the keylight issue is really annoing

    Hello Mikey, great tutorial and result! I'm planning on using this technique for a project.
    What would be your recommendation for lighting the subject so that the displacement map is the most effective ? I notice the light on your subject was really on the side, do you think it's important to have high contrast on the subject?
    Thanks !

    • @LongLiveMikey
      @LongLiveMikey  Před 10 lety

      I actually decided to do the displacement after I had filmed it. Ideally you will want it to be brightest at the nose, and then fade toward the back. so maybe a light straight on with the front of the face, with a soft fall off. So you will want it to be bright down the middle of the face, and darker around the sides and the ears. Hope that helps.

    •  Před 10 lety

      ***** Great, thank you very much, really helpful.
      Now i need to find a way to light the subject that way, maybe with a low intensity point light very close to it?

    • @LongLiveMikey
      @LongLiveMikey  Před 10 lety

      I would do a small soft box straight on to the face. Or any kind of diffused light.
