Create double exposure shots easily in Adobe After Effects. This basic method for combining footage will open up your creativity in combining all kinds of footage. Create moody, atmospheric, and dramatic juxtapositions of images. Put a pond on a portrait? Combine close-ups and the Carpathian mountains? Overlay a lake on a lama? We make use of mattes, masks, and many other common compositing techniques to get you exposed to double exposures.

OMG!!! the first part blow my mind, the way you extract the alpha from the footage it´s just amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks! I hope it's helpful!
@@ECAbrams It was really useful tip - never heard about it before. Thanks! :)

Your tutorials are always straight forward. Awesome. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience.
Thank you so much. Glad you enjoy them :)
Thank you. Your tutorials are very usefull, i'm learning a lot from you.
I really like your tutorials and your taste either! Thank you so much)
I love the tutorial you did. I actually have the Adobe After Effects CC (Relsease 2020) Classroom in a Book and I just went through Lesson 7 about Masks and I got excited when you talked about the Feather Mask Tool! Great work for people like me.
Thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoy it.
Gorgeous
Awesome Mate! Loved the feather mask tool trick, with multiple feather distance on a single mask.
Thanks! We might even say... awesome "matte". That feather is a fun feature. Really great for virtual makeup in post too. Any blending really.
awesome stuff as always Sir!!!
Thank you so much.
I always learn things from your vids, thanks!
well I'm glad to hear it.
great
Great work
Great tut as always! You've been a mentor for years.
Well I am thrilled you have stuck with the channel all this time. :) Thank you so much.
@@ECAbrams Most definitely!
Hahahah very very very nice! Recreating True Detective's intro back in 2015 (and a few other things) managed to land me a job in video editing and kickstarted my career. I'm very thankful that you took the time to create this tutorial, thank you.
That's awesome. Did you use similar techniques back in the day too? I feel this workflow hasn't changed much in 5 years.
@@ECAbrams Very similar hahaha. That's why it felt so cool to revisit this now. I played with some depth-maps back then to make it look more punchy but everything else was pretty similar. Keep up the great work, you make the world more interesting and beautiful by creating these tutorials.
Thank you so much. That's really very touching to hear.
It's great! Thank you very much. :)
This is really kool. Can very creative with this.
double exposure and mosaic R Awsome

Hey Evan, great tutorial as usually.. Thank you very much for sharing! ❤
F****** Awesome, well 'splained.
PRO! Thankyou!
Amazing
Thank you so much!
This is nice. Any I want to understand the channels like r b g alpha channel in real life footage any recommendation like videos or courses thanks very much I really enjoyed this tut.
I'm not sure I have many recommendations on that. But it's really just down to how sensors work and how visual light is understood and quantified.
Very cool! Twice as cool for me! I shot a video with a girl in a red dress! The double exposure technique itself is superb!
That's awesome! Glad you enjoyed the technique :)
Jeez this is complex and fast. But I'll try!
If you have questions do let me know.
last
good tutorial, im too dumb to understand
Now I doubt that very much. Everyone just learns differently and at their own pace. Let me know where you're getting tripped up and maybe I can clarify things.
@@ECAbrams thank u so much, you are so kind to me, now I understand when I look at it again. really appreciate.
You're very welcome. If you ever get stuck with anything we cover on this channel, just hit me up in the comments. I try to help when I can.
Unfortunately, Your idea in this project is not interesting!!
Well, taste is subjective like that. And I gotta talk about what's interesting to me. But, what would you like to see covered on this channel?
My decision was not to deny your ability,
But because success is more achieved by taking public taste, I decided to express my opinion on this.
You can still continue to do what is interesting to you!
Good luck.
I was hoping to actually hear more of your opinion. If this topic is not interesting to you, what topics would be interesting for you to watch on an after effects channel?
