The wine bottle one. I often recork...I say often but that's not actually true, there's normally none left....but when I do, I just turn the cork around, give it a wipe and it goes back in with no problem. No steaming or soaking required.
The wine cork hack I use is I just flip it upside down and put it back in partway. It usually goes in for me, at least for the corked bottles of wine I keep in the fridge for cooking--actual wine, not cooking wine.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone have so much difficulty with putting the cork back in the wine bottle.🤣🤣 I just flip the cork around the other way (no steam necessary) and it pops right in.
I would have reserved some of the potato chip "stock" to mix back in during mashing. Since you were indeed basically washing away all of it's seasoing.
You should soften the crisps with whole milk, and just let that mixture boil down to the consistency you want. That way, the crisp flavor isn’t lost out of the water
that quarter tortilla wrap at the end is amazing. i did one last week with persian feta and avocado mixed together, black beans, scrambled egg, and tomato spinach and cheese. was amazing. tempted to try another combo with it
Boiling wine corks does work, I make my own wine and the difference from a non boiled wine cork Vs boiled cork is huge. I do use a corker though which makes life 10x easier. Also it pained me so much watching you figure out which bottle had a cork 😫
For the wrap one if you put it in a George Forman or brevill toastie maker, it comes out amazing! Plus if your toastie maker is on a slant, you can put the open end towards the top and the fillings won’t fall out! I make these all the time and there so good !!

have you ever shredded chicken in the kitchenaid? you just need to cover the bowl and you will get clean really quick shredded chicken using the paddle attachment. Love you guys!
I've made mashed potatoes out of chips (American here) many times! But my friends and I would simply take a single-serve bag of chips, crush them, pour a small amount of hot water directly into the bag, wait a few minutes, then eat! The sour cream & cheddar Ruffles were always my fave! Additional cheese optional!
You should've seasoned the 4-Way Wrap - salt & pepper on spaghetti, chopped chives on the cheese, lemon juice & a small splash of Worcestershire Sauce on the pulled chicken...

The egg yolk one only works because they separate the yolk from the white and then lay the yolk on top. Once the yolk has no white left on it, it's able to be picked up
Re colander hack: When I was in college I put some spaghetti on the stove and realized while it was cooking that I didn't *own* a colander. I flipped a plate over the pot, Tipped it sideways on the stove (so the plate held the pasta in the pot), and let it dump the water out. It worked so well that I've never owned a colander in the 30 years since.
I have a wine corker for putting corks into bottles of home made wine. It has a bit that squeezes the hell out of the cork to make it smaller than the neck hole then jams it in with a rod.
The crisp mash hack - use a pack of Walkers Sensations Roast Chicken & Thyme crisps, drain the liquid into another pan and add diced chicken and chopped mushrooms and cook until the chicken is cooked through, use arrowroot or cornflour to thicken the liquid, put this into a pie dish and top with the mash. That way you aren't wasting all the seasoning and flavour in the liquid, and you end up with a very tasty pie. May have to buy some crisps now and give this a go!!
I like how hard you work for a Hack that, if you don't drink wine, is rather useless to you. Without the travel restriction I like to see you go further & get ferry to France for the elusive correct wine bottle. Think my sis broke the bottle top when she tried to re-cork a bottle years ago, it was from a cheap supermarket that rhymes with middle.
