Testing 3 of the most Viral TikTok Recipes Ever!
These 3 recipes each have over gone viral with over 100Million views on TikTok, so have obviously been super interesting and curious to some - so, let's give them a go and see what they taste like!
_Ingredients:_
*Decorative Focaccia Bread*
1 sachet fast action yeast
250ml warm water
½ tsp honey
320g plain flour, plus more for kneading
Pinch salt
60ml Extra virgin olive oil
For the decoration:
3 spring onions
A handful chives
1 shallot, peeled and thinly sliced
2 peppers, sliced thinly
Fresh parsley, trimmed
A few pitted olives
Plus anything else you like - seeds etc
*Brown Butter Toast*
Sourdough bread slices
2tbsp Butter
Drizzle of honey to serve
Pinch of salt to serve
*Smashed brussels sprouts*
500g Brussels Sprouts, trimmed
2tbsp Olive oil
3 Cloves Garlic
Salt and pepper to season
60g Parmesan, grated

you are supposed to aim it down into the bag rather than to the side that is part of the reason you had so much stuck even on the second go at it without the wicks in it and if you want to automate the spinning process use a low speed low power drill and yes the appeal of this method apart from the fact it makes a nice decoration is in fact the bang at the end of the proccess nobody will deny that explosions are attention grabbing. infact mark rober used one of these during his recent lava vs lasers vs wild card. video

Too much caramel toffee
I've only just discovered that potatoes can be skewered onto metal 'skewers' and baked in the oven for a super-soft centre whilst keeping the skin crackly and hard. There are tools you can buy for this- a bit expensive, another thing to find storage for and unnecessary though. However, I was recently ordering a paper spike- you know those old things back in the day of paper-only offices that someone would use to stab all the phone messages or invoices on to keep until it's time to get back to them later? You can still buy those. (I got some via Temu for about AU$1-2 each.) They have a heavier metal base plus a long skewer that screws into the base. On the top at the pointy end they come with a little rubber tip though you don't really need this. I ordered six of these instead of just one. Then I used just the spike sticks to put through six potatoes. It has to go all the way through and come out the other end. And they worked really well. They are stainless steel and take up barely any room in a drawer. Just saying. If you're interested I was looking for something to hold down vegetables whilst I am peeling them. My hands and wrists are not very stable or strong thanks to arthritis. I'd just bought a USB rechargeable peeler from Temu (for AU$25). The peeler is quite good though my hand kept getting in the way so I wanted something to hold the potato steady. I now use the paper spike with the base attached to hold the vegetable steady whilst peeling. Voila!
Pasta is supposed to be cooked in boiling water, not cold then brought to the boil. It has to remain on a gentle boil for the whole time it is cooking. Just saying.
I was weaned on homemade biscuits and milk gravy with big sausage bits....... heaven !!!!
I've seen some pretty interesting stuff cooked with those some stuff including meat. Also have seen horrible things done with one of those
when my son was little i would make Focaccia bread but we called it pizza bread cause we topped it with tomato paste and stuff you find on a pizza sparingly never lasted long in our house actually I bought some cheese and garlic Focaccia bread at costco yesterday ( in Brisbane Australia )

thought you did a great job, looked delicious! - but I take issue with your equating scones with US biscuits, scones are drier and more crumbly, biscuits are softer and fluffier - I like both, but they are different (also, there exist much better recipes than that ...)
I've never heard of a scotch egg being done hard boiled and cold I've always seen it served hot with a soft or medium boil

this video gave me an idea for a challenge for you, you know how we've seen mars bars in batter deep fried... well why not pick two random items of food and merge them into a single food item... for example... helmans mustard and icecream, or mayo and banana's... or fried rice and custard...??? if you think of a good combo let me know and i will try it lol

pertaining brussels: in dutch, it's only 1 brussel lol because the name bruxelles was translated a bit differently, english decided to take the S, dutch went for a writing more like phonetic french where the last S is silent lol we call the sprouts "spruiten", without actually saying the name of the city, those are our default sprouts lol

Regarding "Shrinkflation" this is not accidental. There is published goals pertaining to drastic dietary (and other things) changes, and calls to action for private business (which are members of the groups publishing said goals) to impose these changes, where govt cannot due to human rights, etc.. If the cost of food is up because of inflation, the brands would not be seeing record profits even though sales have decreased...FOR REFERENCE DOCUMENT SEARCH "WBCSD Food and Agricultural Roadmap Healthy and Sustainable Diets" view the PDF page 5 for "transformational goals" which include nearly eliminating meat and dairy from our diets, and read further to see the "call to action" for businesses to bring these goals to fruition (in ways such as reducing sizes, and raising prices to a point where they are unaffordable except for a very special occasion)
