- After a recent video looking at a George Foreman grill machine, some of you guys said that Hulk Hogan released an alternative appliance - the Thunder Mixer... but I also found a grill which was recalled - let's put both to the test!

surely you're supposed to stir the eggs while on the hot plate and not use a blender on them after they're done in order to have 'scrambled eggs'!
I mean, he knows how to make scrambled eggs? Right? Why would you think that's how a blender is used in the process?
I am confused as to why Barry would take scrambled eggs and try to whip them up after cooking them, is this a British thing??

@@otherwho2006 Those look like chia seeds, not flax seeds.
I think at actual could be flax but the problem is that the whole intact flax seed doesn’t actually give you any real benefit. You need to crush and grind them to get anything out of them for your body to use
@@CozetteDenton Really? I’ve never seen flaxseed that looks like that, even whole. They do look exactly like the chia seeds I have (small, dark, round).
@@jarsofc555 well I’ve seen them some in darker and lighter colors but big thing is that flax is flat oval like shaped seeds while chia is little round ball shaped seeds and the seeds in the shake aren’t perfect round they’re kinda oval shaped like flax. Is it the color part that’s throwing you off maybe? Because they come in multiple colors

I'm not sure about in your country, but scrambled eggs are exactly what the blender did. It scrambled/blended the eggs and did it well.

According to the CPSC website, the grill can "ignite and/or flare up" if cooking oils or sprays are applied to any of the cooking plates.

I remember a video from Bigclive when he got a USB-rechargeable version of those mini-blenders, "The wee green finger-chopping machine" I think he called it owing to there not being any safety mechanism to stop it being turned in without the cup fitted, and having sharpened steel blades versus a little plastic whippy thingy, fun for all the family........ :P

In America "beating eggs" is called "scrambling eggs" sometimes. I'm sure that's what they meant.
Trying to scramble an omelette is something I wasn't expecting, but if it had worked it would be delicious!

@10:20 the little blades at the bottom cannot cut up anything. It's only for spinning liquid. So raw eggs inside to liquify it but not already cooked eggs

It's not supposed to be used in the half-open mode, it opens like that so you can leave it open to cool off after having used it closed.

Barry you have got fans who love wrestling too! If ever do something with wrestling again, like a wrestler’s cookbook or another gadget, don’t hold back on the references and stories, we love it!
My husband and I said the same thing. If the theme is wrestling, go all in 🙂. I'm sure others wouldn't mind hearing the stories and references too.

I had that grill way back in the day. Only thing i liked using it for was makimg pizzas..
I won a BlendJet2 a few years back, they're kinda like the Thunder and Hurricane mixers, just that they're charged with USB and have blender blades instead of just paddles.
Edit just in case if anyone is interested in those, some were recently recalled for change of the blender unit because apparently some ran hot and cause a hazard because of it. They're not as smooth as a vitamix or something like that would make your smoothie, but they do work.

06:51 I was recently looking into the Tefal grills, more for a panini press thing or for veggies to grill, as I don't eat meat and there is one from Tefal that can also be lain flat and used as a tabletop grill, which living in flats I thought would be a good alternative to a standard grill, as we're not allowed to use them, but I could see myself with my friends on the balcony in summer with one of those.
The Tefal ones are rectangular, so they lay down nicely together without much of a gap.

Ah you got this lot. I had been lookin at it for over a year to make a similar video but this one - originally marked complete - was missing the cookbook
I reckon that "Fountain of Youth shake" would probably have been even better if the flax seeds were properly ground up prior to Thunder-mixing.
Also, I'm sitting here watching this "healthy shake" being made, while sipping a Centaur Army stout, which is spiritually kind of the opposite.

Very fun! Looks a little like the cheap blender that we bought to puree baby food while we were traveling. It didn't last long. Hopefully this lasts longer.
Since you mentioned that grill was recalled, that explains why I haven't heard of it before this video. The mixer does make sense for his name to be on, as he did promote the health shakes and vitamins. Would love if you ever decided to go all in on wrestling and cook recipes from one of the various WWF/E cookbooks.

I got something similar 6 or 7 years ago from 'Wish' and it has rechargeable batteries and you charge it with a usb lead

"Why would you want this mode"... its not a mode its just open until you load with whatever then close it again. Just like any other grill / panini press. Also second hand.... may be the previous owners ruined the none stick? Don't know how good it is on that grill i never owned one. My Tefal Grill none stick is still good after a long time although i always hand wash never in dishwasher.

I nearly fell of my chair when you mentioned Hulk Hogan. My son who is a grown man send me birthday cards etc with hulk hogan on , it drives me nuts. It’s a standing joke for the family. I really thought I had got away with it at Christmas when he send framed photos of the grandchildren.I was just about to hang them up and low and behold there was a picture of hulk hogan on the back.
A bit of American English - British English confusion I think. Scrambling eggs in the US can mean mixing up raw eggs (promoted as healthy to drink in the 80s). In the UK scrambling eggs means cooking eggs in a pan while mixing them.
Also them's chia seeds not flaxseeds 😬 still healthy tho. Flaxseed is labelled linseeds in the UK.

Aye! Awesome, I was wondering if this was going to be a video! We love wrestling in our house lol 4 out of our 7 pets are named after wrestlers! We have, Nero (German shepherd) and Willow (cow cat) Calaway (tortoise shell cat *black and orange* and Asuka (Tuxedo cat)
*Extra points for anyone who knows what wrestlers the first 3 are named after* 😁

What you could use is a spoon or small hand wisk for a lot cheaper.
