@@ChaseABagEntertainment yeah and out of the 40 odd years Vince has been promoting wrestling he's had a couple/few years owning a football league. Is he in the wrestling business or football business. The answers obvious. As it is with Cornette. Even more so when you consider he didn't own the company so if there was SE he wasnt booking it. And in fact everything we know about the belligerent maniac tells us he probably wasn't backwards at coming forwards to tell Vince (M or R) where they can stick what they've written for him.
So he's right. He wasn't. He could have had a job for life there if he went along to get along. If there's anyone who's been in the business anytime over the last 25 years that can say "while everyone was doing this nonsense I was fighting it, firstly from within and then from without and it probably cost me hundreds of thousands in bookings but I picked the hill and I'll die on it"; its fucken Jim Cornette.

My kids, 11 & 12, both commented on the 2nd referee sliding in when he did. "It's almost like Vince is backstage keeping the referee there, and then telling him to go out after the cheating". And I don't know if they were being coy, and they actually know what's going on. Earlier this year I was rewatching the street fight between HHH and HBK and the younger one said HHH jumped backwards off the turnbuckle on purpose when HBK punched him. So I'm pretty sure he's at least figured it out. I haven't explicitly told them everything that goes on, but I have had to tell them a few things to calm them down. When Orton burned Wyatt alive they were upset and thought he might be really dead. So I told them that Wyatt rolled out of the ring after the match, and since it was pretaped, the WWE put a dummy in the ring, just for the story. And I had to tell them that sometimes wrestlers don't really hate each other, but pretend to, to make things more interesting. I just remember when I was a kid and Jake Roberts snake was "killed" and I was heartbroken, but I didn't take it very well when my mom said wrestling is "fake". So I'm not going to do that to my kids and ruin it. But they're figuring it out.

@Nero Wynn Yeah, I never told them outright that Santa wasn't real. But when they started asking questions I just told them that I didn't believe in Santa. It didn't go over so well with the inlaws when the kids were saying stuff to me about Jesus and said they didn't want me to go to hell, and I told them I didn't believe in that stuff. But out of everything, the one thing they insist is real more than anything else is Bigfoot. Because they've seen it multiple times. Oh, and their grandpa apparently thinks he can beat up any of the wrestlers...

@@josephsmith5367 Undertaker beat Jimmy Superfly Snuka clean in his first Wrestlemania match. In Wrestlemania 18, Flair v. Undertaker, Flair was the babyface and Taker beat him with no real shenanigans to my memory (though Flair had a lot of help from Arn Anderson). That's a couple, but Taker spent a loooong part of his career as a heel in the WWE, you'll find clean wins in those periods pretty effortlessly.
But given he was Vince's most loyal soldier, he IS also an exception to the rule you've proposed.
I've also not listed jobber matches (King Kong Bundy vs. Leapin' Lanny Poffo) as I'm pretty sure those go against the spirit of what you're saying.

One thing I love about Jim on top of his views on modern petite wrestling is that he keeps wrestling honest. Things that fans have just got used to like massive gaps between sending referees out Jim reminds us are unrealistic bull that need to be sorted out. People just accepting that certain unlikely things happen in wresting is a big part of causing the mess we have today.

I think they should've kept the no DQ.
They could've shown a backstage footage of Usos jumping Lesnar as he gets out of his locker room(on Reigns' orders to soften him up). But Brock being Brock, he beats them up and makes his way to the ring.
Also, instead of directing facing Lesnar head strong Roman tries to play a bit of cat and mouse. Not the coward heel running away but someone teasing his opponent and getting hem to make a mistake.
So when Lesnar did get his hands on Reigns that could've been a high point.
