- The Ägir main guns are basically complete trash. The armor is also highly questionable, with a 90mm upper belt that practically arms every AP shell shot at you. But, with the right build, this ship truly shines.. or becomes a meme. Not really sure which one.

Frankly wows can give it a longer reload and improve the main battery guns so they are worthy of being a tier 9 battle cruisers guns.and keep the secondaries just as they are .

well the actual thing has onlt 3x2 150mm secondaries. These has the 105mm AA guns and her secondaries replaced with 9x2 128mm

german BBs secondayr are so innacurate it's a crime
First I was interested in the Ödin, then weegee nerfed it into the ground. Then I was interested in the Ägir, and weegee nerfed it into the ground too. Every time. Every time there's a boat I'm interested in they crush my hopes and dreams.
Unless it's Russian, because then they will not bother nerfing it if people are saying they are broken then reluctantly proceed to nerf it, but do it in the most passive aggressive way possible by nerfing it the smallest amount possible unless people get tired and accept how broken it still is.
@xellossaxon Yeah I saw that, most battleships in those situations if you aim correctly might get 1 citadel, possibly 2 if you're lucky, *but of course in Soviet Union cruisers get 5 citadels out of 6 shells*

Except it gets German dispersion and you only get to shoot 5 times if the game goes full time. But if you hit it just oneshots whatever it hits, other than Russian ships, which it will overpen.

Oh they are. Not only do they have better starting accuracy (think of it as inbuild -20% mod) but they have almost 50% more DPM per mount

@@renown6386 the number of guns don't matter if they can't hit anything. Just look at t6 secondaries on ships like Warspite and Bayern. They should be good but don't hit anything. Obviously that's and extreme example but it's the same kind of thing.
I dont think people expect a cruiser to be a secondary monster.
Try a secondary build on graf spee.
Range is moderate, but they are great, they melt DDs.
So let me get this straight, this is a ship with:
- bad armour
- large, raised citadel
- has crappy main Armament
- doesn't tank shit
- relies solely on a meme build that's bad in the current meta
- and is German, so it will be nerfed
Hard pass for me

And so the fun part was nerfed.
Now it's a bog standard tier 9 supercruiser.
You are probably better off just getting the Scharnhorst.

@eastindies if you saw some streams of Flamu playing this thing aside from this video, then you would know how fast this thing goes down against ships with decent firepower.
And when your ships only strength lies in sec-spec but you barely cant bow tank nor tank HE very well, then it's a failure in my eyes.
@eastindies I would consider the Alaska or PR as way better armored. Also since the guns cant seem to really do anything, it should have the Armor like the Pedro (new Russian T10 CA), so it could handle T10 matches better. But it is how it is. Let's see how other perform in the Ägir when she gets released.
The sec are the only good thing here. The rest isn't really anything good.
well WG cant do anything to the armor. WG just uses what the actual design Germany had for the O-class and for all the other ships in the game aswell.

@@renown6386 they did run out of IRL Soviet ships long ago. All t9-10 Soviet ships are paper ships, the only exception being Tash. Hell, much of their bb line is paper too. Also most premiums, or at least the most common ones
You can make an amusing troll setup by sacrificing si and EM and taking concealment plus preventive. That lets you startle DDs that think they’re safe capping since you can close the 500m gap between your final concealment and your secondaries before they can react.

What if you exchange superintendent&turret traverse for concealment&prev. Maintenance? Then you get 11.9km conc with 11.5 secondary range, so as soon as something spots you, you can blap it with your secondaries. -1 heal tho, but still that might be cool
I’m thinking of a slightly different captain build, tell me what you think. The focus is still on the secondaries though. So first 14 points goes to Priority target, AR, BFT, AFT and manual secondaries, the normal secondary build. But knowing the Agir is a cruiser, instead of going superintendent and expert marksman, I’d go for concealment and preventive maintenance. What this does is it brings the concealment down to 11.9 as flamu said, which is 600m from Agir max secondaries range. This makes getting into good positions for secondaries very easy. This build is better for players that struggle to get to a position to use secondaries without losing hp but in the long run, having one less heal is a big set back especially with the amount of brawling you do with this ship. This build isn’t worth it for German BBS though.

In all fairness that's what people have been saying in wot since its launch, the p2w has only gotten stronger and yet the game lives. WG has been ramping their greed up and up and up and people moan but they still throw out their entire wallets. Just look at the PR thing. How many people complained, and how many mindless whales sail around in them now? Yeah. I think the game will be juuust fine. And by Fine I of course mean increasingly p2w and somehow even more skewed to russian ships (and tanks)

That's actually the lower graphic setting for water he's using it looks like. It's actually the higher setting that adds in all the small wave and wake effects on the ships. If you set your water graphics lower is when it just turns into a big reflective sheet (like what it looks like he's using here).

Damn Flamu, you should be a car salesman, because you just made me want a German ship (I usually despise German ships, they're my least played nation I think), and not only a German ship, but a brawling cruiser of all things. I tried brawling in my Yoshino because a friend challenged me, I had some good games, even a Kraken, but mostly I got spammed to death. I am struggling to make my Alaska work. So this shouldn't interest me. But it does.
I don't know but those main guns seem very accurate.
