I did not know what to exactly expect when I went in with this ship because I was sick for a week and I didn't touch WoWS. I only heard it's strong but this is ridiculous.
Russian navy is "finally" getting a cruiser that is regular size with decent concealment that somehow packs a punch as hard as Stalin himself.
Yeah this is exactly what we needed .

Things that can't reliably hit a Kremlin citadel: 18" Thunderer, Ohio and Yamato shells. 16" BB shells. 15" BB shells. 230-240mm cruiser shells from all other nations.

Ludicrous. They just can't help themselves at this point, Russian shell performance buffed to ridiculous levels.
You know what they say mate... Shoot moons with your Ohio at a sideways Kremlin and you will ricochet, but shoot tiny communist pebbles and Stalin himself wiill guide it into the fuel tank.
But... I can reliably citadel Kremlins in my Yamato, Montana, GK and Repu if they give me the same broadside they gave Flambass here...

The Moskva has worse guns and shells than the Petro. Less pen, velocity, accuracy, doesn't have the improved AP angles, and no 360 traverse.
Moskva ap is nothing special, Hinden and DM have a better one
@@TiOBu4 Nooo, Moskva AP is far superior to Hindenberg in terms of penetration at all ranges and trajectory. Only thing it gives up is alpha. DM actually has better pen angles, but otherwise also loses to Moskva. Different uses, different strengths. DM isn't going to be racking cits at 19km like Moskva can.

Kremlin has terrible AA,it doesnt even exist when theres HE spam and in a single salvo Des Moins can take out 20% of it. She has the biggest disadvantage regarding AA because the modules doent withstand the HE spam. (Of course when theres a cv thats not important).

I have citadel'd one in the Georgia, though I had to be 4km away to do it and even after that 82k salvo he still lived...
When I shoot Kremlin with my fully upgraded, legendary module Yamato, I have to carefully aim under the turrets to get maybe 1 or 2 citadels, because if I aim directly underneath the smokestacks sometimes citadels just won't come (I've tested this in training battles as well).
Meanwhile, you're telling me a cruiser is fully able to citadel a Kremlin not once, but 6 times in the span of 10 seconds?!

And spotting range under radar range. That was the only advantage a radar on a Mino had. Of course it is one of the best armored cruisers in the game, too. Would be a shame if it had some disadvantages

full 360° rotation wasnt possible because of the cables from electronic equipment.
doing a full turn would snap the cables and disable the entire turret unless you waste materials to produce longer cables that could be layed in a way that wouldnt rip them apart for at least a few rotations.
but why do that when you can build 2 regular ships with the amount of cables needed to have one ship with 360° rotatable turrets.

"Russian bias isn't a thing." Ever notice how almost every Russian ship ends up being incredibly OP breaks the game, and defies physics being able to out damage and penetrate things over double the caliber? And even light Russian ships are tanks. Honestly its interesting that the accuracy does noticeable get worse when shooting at Russian ships. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they had a system where aiming a Russian ship, the dispersion is increased by a certain percentage.

@Hal Swan Not in WoWs, I'm afraid. Due to how the angling system works, and a mechanic called "autobounce", at higher tiers most battleships are essentially immune to AP rounds from most guns they face, if they are bow-on. The only ship that can consistently target nearly all vessels on the bow is yamato thanks to her 480mm guns and a mechanic called "overmatch".

Well to be fair, US CA pen angles are 60-67.5 unlike the Petro with 50-65 degrees. Normal cruisers get 45-60 degrees and Stalin is in a weird spot with 55-65 degrees.
That being said, when you have ~250 mm more penetration than the DM at all ranges, does the angle really matter? Shots that don't bounce with a DM will shatter, whereas Petro will probably be able to punch through and penetrate. Hell, it has ~150 mm more pen than the Moskva at all ranges. Remember when people thought Moskva had great penetration for a cruiser? For more context, its penetration is about the same as Bismarck's 380 mm guns, but with better penetration angles because balanz tovarisch
Let's all just only play Russian ships from now on. I mean: why even bother with anything else?
They only need DDs with 15min smokes, radar, hydro, and 8x4 40k damage torps every 30sec with 5km concealment at this point
I just got to play Russian ships recently because Moskva is gonna go and my friends start to play them. I refuse to play them before but to understand if it’s really powerful I have to try and yeah...They’re so easy to play.

Flambass no surprise I have been watching videos on the Petropavlovsk all week and it has been citadel city with this cruiser. Do a search on CZcams and watch all the vids and you will see this cruiser go against battleships, battlecruisers, and other ships like it was nothing. The overall parameters on this ship will be reduced after getting feedback from the CCs but at it current state it is too powerful for now. Just imagine no changes and this ship gets released to the live servers as it is. Commanders will be playing the game like crazy grinding through the light cruiser line to Tier 8, Tallinn and Riga to get the ship. Your reaction during the battle was definitely my first reaction when I saw this ship take on a battleship and win, thanks for the video.

Soviets in this fucking game: I am become death destroyer of worlds.
I saw the stream and there was quite some discussion and assumptions regarding that ship that were incorrect...
- It has very high pen, slightly better pen angles (not DM level!), short fuse (not UK level) and 360° turrets.
- It will overpen due to the high velocity but this is somewhat counteracted by the short fuse
- It is harder to citadel submerged or low citadels due to the very straight flight of the projectiles. Flambass was wondering why He citadelled a Kremlin but not a Montana. Well the Kremlin Cita sits relatively high.
- It has a giant 25mm nose. This is NOT Moskva level (which has a tiny 25mm nose). It can somewhat bowtank but BBs will murder it.
I am NOT saying this ship aint good. However there are some things people tend to forget when they see broadside citadels flying around. A DM would have murdered most of the targets even faster tbh.
I've had no problem citadeling Iowa, yamato or Montana for that matter with my DM, but the fkn kremlin is bullet proof even for yamato 18" rounds at fkn 10km

Yep, apparently those shells have the same penetration as 380mm shells at max range. At short ranges the pen should be even better + dispersion is also so much more reliable.

What sights do Flambass use since he can take so few "bars" lead shooting at that Smolensk cross the map? If I had taken that shot I would have been forces do lead 15+?! Or is he really zoomed out? like 2-3 scroll ticks?

Most of the time I'm watching Flambass he's like: *this ship is shet, it does not work, yada-yada-yada* the following seconds after he says that, instant citadel, instant double kill, devastating strike,Kraken and so on.
It''s like somebody from WG is watching he's the stream and changes the RNG on spot.
Anyway, respect Flambass for the work you re doing, you and Jingles are the reason why I started to play this game.

Yeah... At 7.8km this "light cruiser" has about 570mm of penetration...
Not to mention: rail-gun velocity ( so near perpendicular impact angles), special Russian close-range super dispersion and improved ricochet angles.
It only just has less pen at that range than a Bismarck, and more than a Monarch (at any range).
This thing has more pen from 0-10km than a f***ing Kronstadt!

the petropavlosk was actually a german heavy cruiser of the admiral hipper class. That means that the petro is basically a prinz eugen. But why is it so different in WG??

To top it off it apparently has the best gun angles of any ship in the game. So that huge turning radius, arguably the only difficulty this ship has, isn't even as much a thing as for ships that actually have to turn.
