@@cusrrugby7 Depends who you ask. Usually a Dom match is either decided after 5 minutes, or IS being decided on the last 5 minutes. The latter may mean the first couple minutes are dreadfully boring and nothing much happens... especially if someone is waiting for a full army before doing anything. Which is a valid and working strat, but not particularly engaging to watch.
LB is always action packed, and in tournaments you scarcely see people deliberately trying to get on each others' nerves. Kiting is dead, only blobs/character squads/boxes can be an issue, and thats mostly coming from Dwarfs, Nurgle(/WoC Festus) and Cathay, nobody else.
In any case, both game modes are usually reliant on quantity over quality, thus elves or demons, chorfs too to an extent have a disadvantage in both. Overpriced but underperforming elite units rarely see the light of day, its just spam of Tier1-2 trash everyone can see in the first 20 turns of campaigns. Where's the fun or faction identity in that? "Wow, my kislevite unbreakable spears can beat your spears. Wow, my bretonnian peasant longbowmen are just as useful and damaging as elven archers who trained for a century."
Dom is only superior in that Cathay isnt cancer from where I stand. But thats also the reason why they were not nerfed for LB for the past TWO YEARS, so even that superiority is revoked for that reason.

In that last battle the Lizards needed some flyers to get that cannon. Great tournament, and, as usual, great cast.

Ive said before and ill say it again. You should not be able to re-summon legendary lords if they get killed/routed. Allow a generic lord sure, but its such a buzz kill to beat down these epic characters and then 1 minute later they are back with full health.

Amazing. No mirrors, and a dedicated server are the only things stopping warhammer from going to the next level as a viewership sport. It’s already my second favorite after league.

All this table top talk. I have to recommend Conquest Last Argument of Kings for rank and file games. It's really great cheap and the rules are free .
For 40k they would need a new engine 100%.
Especially if its not a sad little campaign on a single planet, but say, 5-6 planets, each the size of WH1 map or so.

TW40K would definitely be an awesome game to see, but GW is far more protective of that IP than they are(were?) of FB considering TWWH came out when FB was effectively dead as an IP and was actually responsible(alongside vermintide) for it being revived. So, while I'd like to see a TW40K, GW's propensity to meddle with it far more might sour any chance of it actually coming into existence.

I think a 40k total war would be a mistake.
what exactly would the mistake be?
@@tomatoesofdoom I don't think 40k works well in "regiments", map terrain would be difficult to adapt well, 40k scale variance is even more off, it would have to be shooting based.
So not only is the track record for 40k adaptations tremendously poor, a TW:40k would be able to utilise none of the proven strengths of the Total War series. And as a fully personal opinion, I just don't think modern 40k is any good.
A mistake they're willing to take. There is way too much money to be made off of 40k.
