A pending lawsuit against National General accuses the insurance company of using a loophole to not fulfill claims. Carolyn Johnson reports for the NBC4 News on April 26, 2024.
Sounds like an invasion of privacy. Asking for more information than necessary to insure a person's property is none of their business. It's unreasonable to ask for a list of persons in a household who have no relation to the vehicle. It's like asking if they own a firearm, none of their business. These are all loopholes to avoid their responsibility to their clients. It's a money grab. A fleecing of the client through premiums knowing they will be able to avoid paying claims. Theft by deception.
I could see denying if the 14 year old took the car, and then wrecked it. This is outrageous

Wow!!! That is crazy. Why do you need to disclose people in your home that don't drive over 14? I will never ever use either of these companies.
All the companies are constantly loopholes to back out of deals.
The insurance company also violated the contract by not disclosing the fact that they have the ethics and maturity of a 14-year-old.
Allstate digging hands.
