    Nice to meet you. I also ride an electric skateboard. Recently I switched to 165mm cloudwheels for stability. However, when going up at high speed (over 40kph), I feel more wobble than the existing 120mm. Are larger wheel sizes more susceptible to wobble?

    • @danli9884
      @danli9884 Před rokem

      Kind of (due to central of gravity off the ground), but not really as size is necessary to cover come road conditions. I don't think wheel size is your main issue since your wheels are the same size as mine. Chances are you are running tkp he is running rkp/dkp or something of that nature and to top if off your trucks are 10-11 inch wide (i am guessing you are running a meepo/ownboard/wowgo) this trucks are 19 inches. I am guessing he is running boutique tires or something with slightly deflated custom street tires. He is running a vesc and chances are you are running a ESC. Don't run cloudwheels the traction is terrible there are better alternatives. If you plan to run 20mph + run trampa gummies at the least (they aren't that much more expensive. Naturally, if you are fine with maintenance for inflated tires run those). Of course measurement trucks, vesc, wheels aren't everything the quality matters too (parts are more precise and balanced). edit: boutique - custom made by small shops ie: www.bioboards.eu/collections/parts-trucks/products/at-convert-kit-for-plutonium-2-street (I can run around 45+ mph around 75 kmh before I worry about speed wobbles).

      @@ryan.2327 I went from MTB to inline downhill with an MTB helmet; the 1st thing I did was remove that visor that is meant for MTB and serves very little purpose. I think it looks weird outside of MTB/motocross and is counterproductive for anything at speed, but you do you, I guess. haha

      Hey mate
      I wss also looking for a board. He is riding a DIY Flux board with i think 18S battery pack. 18s means 18 cells in series. So every cell has 3.6volt. Its not a toy anymore. He is riding 96km/h.
      There is a stock board called Flux at2 from fluxmotion. Its like 2600Euro. Its premium and has a 1500wh battery. This is insane. Also maytech motors.
      I just bought the vereal Rs with a 20ah battery pack. It is only a 10S battery but with 4 cell in parallel. It has the range and is strong enough. More than. Dkatebolts is cheap but what i heard its okay. Its just not powerful when you compare to this beasts or other brands. I hate to hear this but s lot of ppl of the scene said it also to me, for the beginning it is enough. Thats why i did not go for the flux, also i needed the money.
      Are you living in the uk?

      @@Noah0510 he's using 20s now if I recall correctly not 18s and 3.6 is nominal voltage for lithium ion cells, max charge voltage is 4.2 volts per cell so a lot higher voltage than if it were just at 3.6v.

    • @wiggpickle
      @wiggpickle  Před 2 lety

      This is a DIY board using mostly off-the-shelf parts. High Voltage and amperage combined with a stable deck and truck combination.

    How can I get comfortable after 33mph? I’d like to commute in that 40mph range. What’s your psychology and bushings color set up etc? I think we’re around the same weight 145 lbs. Thanks brother & please be more careful. How have you been since your 63mph accident?

    Hey dude, how much of this your muscle/muscle memory and skillset versus machinery?
    Could a average esk8r reach those speeds with the same machine or do you think its experience and skills PLUS machine to do it safely, and if so if you could put a number on that?

    • @wiggpickle
      @wiggpickle  Před 2 lety +2

      Maybe 50/50. Being so deep in it, it's hard to say. It takes a long time to understand how to act calmly, but very quickly at speed. There's definitely some athleticism involved. Machinery is extremely important. It's taken 2.5 years of figuring out what works to get to this point.
