@@jamesm5192 quad lock, but kind of pricey. And the Lynx doesn't play music.
@@user-ke9yk5qp3u haha yes Lynx doesn't, but I know mr chooch has listened to music on his headphones while riding before, so I was wondering how he's best found to control it. Re: quadlock, yes seems down to quadlock & peak design for motorcycles as well, but looking into 3D printing as they both seem pretty overpriced for what they are.
Yo this thing is amazing! You should bring it to Austin, I want to try it out on the Town lake trails ; ))
An accident waiting to happen.
Looks super dangerous but fun as hell.
76.5 mph!!!
@@RobShuttleworth is that accurate? If so, that is incredibly dangerous. It definitely looks like he is going super fast past people who would not be expecting a person going that fast.
And in that same vein, people in cars are not going to see this as a person in a vehicle. There is no lights or really anything indicating it’s not just a person, besides the fact that the person is going fast as shit.

This is insane. Never seen anything like this and your camera shots and overall video are top notch. Fascinating to say the least
ya, must be drone footage
@@johnjeffreys6440 no that's a selfie stick with 360 camera
What I don't like: The video promotes riding them in public space. In most developed countries that is 100% illegal and for good reasons there is no insurance covering accidents with these toys. Imagine hitting a little child. Without any insurance you and the victim of the accident might be ruined for a lifetime. It's like driving a car or a motorcycle without insurance. In many countries you can go to jail for that even if no accident occurs.
@@hxpx6906 yep there is definitely a lot of Truth in what you say.
@@snpddl2010 So why not record the stick?
Exciting street rides, 🎉 but like others commented here, please slow down when approaching pedestrians man! Have fun and be safe
No just hurry and get around them
Please speed up when your thinking. It would help too..... it's like 50 to 60 mph. It's not a damn heat seeking missle. Just stop looking down for pennies all day
@annuitcceptis8677 If you actually think this is acceptable, you should be jailed. Although this thing would be fun to ride, but definitely no safety for others. Someone's bound to get hurt.

What an age to be young. There was absolutely nothing like these kinds of things when I was a kid. Now I'm too old for this kind of stuff, my bones would shatter. I like the safety of my car.
If you are under 60, Id say get an EUC. Doesnt have to be something crazy like the lynx in the video.
I'm 40 now and I ride an EUC, broke my leg on a pothole but still riding 😂
You can still enjoy a kick scooter maybe, haha. I'm only 37 watching this and my knees/face aching
i'm probably closer to your age. ebikes are fun. i would def not ride one of these things, i'm also too old.
Never too old... I'm 53yrs old and have been riding for 3-4 years now. I put more miles on my EUCs than I do on my car. In fact I'm considering selling my current vehicle so I can buy (another) wheel. They aren't just fun they are a great mode of local transportation.
Bro the pure stuttering satisfaction you get trying to explain how much you love this thing makes me want to buy one.
3 weeks later, rides trail, breaks leg , arm, and wrist, accidentally hit a young woman and unalive her. DONT BE THE DUDE IN THE VIDEO. lmao. DO NOT RIDE LIKE HIM EVER. ride ride ride, but not like him.
@itwasntmebro2669 Did I say I was gonna ride like that? I said I wanted to buy one from the excitement in his voice.
@itwasntmebro2669 Also, how do you know that incident happened? He just posted a video 11 days ago. This video is 2 months old.
I find it interesting that you're all geared up and protected like you're on a dirt bike which means you know there's serious risk of bodily injury at the speeds you're traveling, yet you're hauling in areas with, and meant for, pedestrians - I guess good luck everybody else? If you do hit someone and seriously injure them, you're in a mess. Looks fun though 🙃

The same is true of anything, a scooter, a bicycle, a skateboard, rollerblades...
@@cenciende9401 There's a significant difference in speed. There's a reason dirt bikes and motorcycles aren't allowed to ride on the sidewalk/walking path.
Yeah, he seems to have very little regard for everyone else. ME ME ME ME LOOK AT ME kind of thing I guess.
Piano wire strung across a pedestrian walkway has never harmed anyone using the walkway legally.
The more you know.
💯 A high speed chase on this thing would be iconic.
I have a happy update. I am officially an EUC rider now! On my third day of learning something clicked and suddenly i just knew how to ride. I literally stopped thinking so much about it, and suddenly, my body naturally started auto balancing for me. At the moment, i am comfortable cruising at 15 - 20 mph. I learned on grass because I was afraid to fall on pavement. By doing this, I learned to balance on bumpy terrain, and pavement/speedbumps are really easy to manage now. Thank you so much for your wisdom. The strap idea really helped. Riding EUC is probably the best feeling i have ever experienced.
Anxiously awaiting your next CZcams video!
@BobJohnson-xg9ng thanks! I hope to post one soon, but it has been so rainy lately.
🤙🏾
You GOT IT.... its amazing when it kicks in, then you realize you were overthinking it once you begin to merge with the wheel. One of the best feelings i have experienced in this world. Enjoy and be safe, soon you will be in traffic pushing the limits.
@OnlyBuilt4FinancialContracts already there. I don't have a car and take my V12 everywhere. I take it for 10-20 miles on a daily basis. It's cool when I turn so many heads and I get fellow euc and motorcycle riders waving at me and giving thumbs up. I feel like I joined a special club and it feels awesome.
This looks like a good getaway vehicle for a bankrobber. Ive driven crazy like this on a sport bike. This is crazier then anything ive ever seen.
that's what I keep thinking, like, this looks insane but I'm being blindsided by the negative potential for ridiculous amounts of crime with one of these, I wish it was not the first thing that entered my mind, but there it is.
If you get one of those and you dont live in nyc or california you will likely be the only rider in your area, hence easily identifiable. When they get more popular, then yeah.
a bank robber? you think he's coming out of a safe with 5 garbage bags of cash and hopping on his electric unicycle? the mobility is hardly better than a speed bike, and with the motorcycle you can go way faster. maybe for swiping purses but, as the other guy mentioned to easy to identify since they're uncommon
Welcome to the FBI watch list
What I hate about many byers of such stuff: They don't inform themselves about the legal situation in their country. In many countries it's 100% illegal using them in public areas. If you cause an accident, you'll have no insurance. Your victim and yourself might be financially ruined for a lifetime depending on the damage that happened.
😂 same thing they said about the bicycle 200 years ago. Same thing they said about the horseless carriage 150 years ago.
@@Chrisfrom_Dallas Same thing they said about guns and explosives. People just have to understand that we live in the future now.
If I want to stockpile 30 kilos of TNT and keep it next to my furnace my neighbors need to shut up and get over it.
tell that to fast e-bike and e-scooter riders
@@Chrisfrom_Dallas That answer doesn't make sense. My comment is not against innovation. It's about the legal situation and the lack of insurance. It's about protecting people from getting fcuked up financially because they didn't care. And as I said, it's not only the risk of those who use the device. The innocent victim of the accident can be the one with the big problem, because someone else didn't care.
Thats why I prefer riding trails and low traffic roads.
The guy that taught me paragliding rides this. Paragliding is way more dangerous than I originally realized, and he's a risk-taker, and he gets really scared while riding this. Looks quite fun though.
Glad you're wearing the right safety gear
Chooch, because of you and your videos bro, I've purchased a v12HT and now a v13. Never ridden before. But I have been riding now for maybe 3 months on and off. And it started with the v12. And now, on the v13, it's crazy kool. I listened to you, too. On the v13, I've managed to increase breaking distance, and it's been the best advice you could have ever given. I will continue to follow you and utilize every tip that you put out in your videos. I basically only street ride, but that's my preference. Thank you Bro, I appreciate you.
Pretty cool ride. I do question some of your choice of riding on walking paths.
Yeah it’s incredibly self centered and inconsiderate
I think his riding is so good & he's very carefull & aware at high speeds. I realize this cause I ride a Suzuki GSXR 1000. Though yes, an accident can occure. So it's all on the rider if theres a problem.
I agree, it seems to be a universal issue with PEV users. They want the benefits of a vehicle and a pedestrian all at once. My riding partner is bad about it and it baffles me.
@@mangalisoxaba498 I find I have to spend equal/ more time to fix something others broke whether it was intentionally or not.
noone cares about your tears, bud!
I upgraded from a V8S, and I absolutely love the Lynx. Having never ridden a heavier wheel, I did get some scary wobbles at around 29 mph that I just barely rode out but I obviously chalk that up to inexperience just feeling out where my limits are. I also feel like at 180lbs that I should have gone with the 62lb suspension. The 66 isn't terrible, it just feels a little bit stiffer than I would have liked. Otherwise it's been a blast so far.
I love mine too! Had the same experience with wobbles at high speed but it was my fault. Be sure to pay attention to Chooch's comments at around six minutes. Once I started carving and pumping left to right I didn't have any more wobbles even at speed. So I strongly believe that as you get better that will happen to you less and less. I got pretty severe wobbles and I simply leaned forward and sped up and then started carving and they went away immediately. The other time I got wobbles was because I was zombie riding into braking.
I have the 70lb spring in mine & at rthe softest setting a 160 lb guy (a friend)was able to stand on it & it was cushy ... I am 270lbs but after seeing how soft it was I am amzed & had to see what he thought & its all how u dial it all in , all 3 setting on your shock... lower the softness & i am sure you will love 66lb I would advise anyone that is serious off road to get a 70lb as you can make it soft for any weight ... anyway i am pretty impressed but no one that has Ia 134 volt wheel needs this ... I have the ex-30 & s22 and yes this wheel is great but it all these wheel are good ... if you already have a wheel from last yr and dont have money to burn , dont sweat it ... I think these wheel change and while the best thing about this wheel is you wont make it cut out (I promise I tried & I am 6'4 270lbs) where thats the biggest difference with this wheel and say the begode 134volt like my ex-30 where is is a fast as hell wheel but it will cut out ... this doesnt ... I got my seat from E wheels when I bought it and it is really nice quality! Suspension is absolutely lovely! I didn't mess around with the preload, the rebound, or the compression, and with all of my mountain bike suspension experience I think they set it up beautifully right out of the box. I went bombing up a super steep and long hill and when I got to the top the batteries were still sitting at around 23° C. They don't even warm up at all. 😂
Thank you for addressing the pad situation. I've been moving mine all over trying to get a feel for where I want them and I do feel limited with the built in toe holds.

Chooch, man - carving the turkey! Good vid. Great riding! 🤘
I always wanted one of these. I see people on them sometimes, but they just look too scary for me. I'm an e-bike enthusiast, but my e-bike takes up so much space. It must feel amazing going up to your apartment and having all that space saved with something that goes faster than most e-bikes.
That thing looks wild! I never knew these things existed. All hail the youtube algorithm!
I have the Lynx with the tubeless street tire too. I have the Patton with a knobby for off road. I love the Lynx, the suspension is defently more responsive than the Pattons suspension. I have the same boots you recomend, but I like the Alpine Star Andes even more. The stock pedals on the Lynx feel pretty good, but the eRides pedals on my Patton lock me in. Here in a couple of weeks I am going to drive from Dallas up to Buffalo WY and back. I would be super happy if we could meet up and ride our Lynx together. I used your link when I ordered my Lynx.
What’s the difference between the 62 and 70 suspension option when u buy
@@connormorris1889 I am 200+ lbs and carry a lot of gear when I ride including Cooch's tool set. The 70 Lb suspension still feels soft over small bumps, but it rebounds much more quickly than the 66lb suspension I have in my Veteran Patton. The Patton also bottoms out with bigger drops, whereas, the 70LB links just feels great with no clunk at the bottom.

About the handle...I'd imagine a short pole with a knob on top would be great for control, a bit like the segway but for one-handed operation.
no its dangerous when your crash and also you have your feet and hands fighting for control
Just take a stick off the ground and pretend it's a handle if you really have nothing better to do with your hands 😄

20+ metres a second, what could go wrong?
Awesome video, Chooch. I haven't seen anything from your channel in a while, so it's nice to know that you're still in the game. I was looking at getting the Patton for my next wheel, but now I'm having second thoughts. For me, the Lynx is a game changer for sure. My only concern is how it would work for me as a smaller rider ( 5'4" 135 lbs.)
Your around the size of Chooch so from the looks of the videos it should work very well.
I'm Your height but way heavier (193, with gear and a pack 205) and my only issue with larger wheels is having to put more pressure on the pads since I can't get my weight off center as far as a tall dude.
For what it's worth my full send is not a Chooch full send, but I do ride hard when I can.
The Lynx is going to be my next wheel....but I'll need to sell a couple to help pay for it and that is always hard to do. I love them all for different things.
@squidsleap good call. I'm riding a 16X right now, and I really think that I've outgrown it. The wheel is constantly yelling at me to slow down, and sometimes it tells me that I'm overpowering it. I still like the wheel for traveling on public transport but I think it's time for and upgrade. The Lynx being the same weight as the Patton with more torque, speed, and range is definitely a no-brainer. Plus, I'm thinking that the larger diameter tire will make it that much more comfortable. So I'll just have to save money for a little while longer. Thanks for the feedback.
@ionflow1073 I'd have trouble selling a 16x too, it's a great wheel!
My oldest wheel is a 16s, with 6300 miles on it. That one I would sell but it's beat up, old, and slow. Seems more worth it to keep for teaching other people to ride haha (I have excuses for all of them, I'm married and the nanny boss thinks two is too many haha)
@squidsleap I know what you mean. It's definitely a passion that very few people understand. I'm thinking that I might use my 16x to teach others as well. I've already taught one of my cousins' kids how to ride, along with a few others. Besides, it has sentimental value to me personally. It's my old faithful. It may not get me where I need to be fast, but it WILL get me there reliably.
Good camera work too. That was fun!
I literally bought a veteran lynx thanks to your videos instead of the V14. I wish I had a code to use to give you props. Thanks 🙏
The Lynx is incredible. Absolutely worth every penny. My favorite thing I own. I would give away my phone, toilet, and bed to keep the Lynx. Glad you like it. Check this next Lynx vid I drop. I am going Mach speed up the canyon. Thanks for the comment, cheers!
Great video. I’m super excited about this wheel. Just had a thought; It would be sweet to see you being chased by a cop. Through the town and its ally’s and backyards. Would make a great movie scene.

Damn... a blink and technology advances so fast... this is like a proper vehicle compared to what I last saw of these unicycle things... It looks so damn awesome... I wonder how long the battery actually lasts and the actual top speed compared to what they say... Also how long will the battery stay good? say it lasts 2hours now... in 6 months would it only last 20minutes??
ABC: Always Be Carving!!!
I've never seen anything like this, this is nuts!
Anyone complaining about him being on the sidewalk obviously is complaining just to complain. Bright visible clothing, goes out his way to be as far away from pedestrians and scooters on the sidewalks as well. So anyone saying he's all about himself stop assuming and actually watch the video.
Is this the 50E or 50S battery version?
Gotta give it to you man, your skill level is amazing.
Whow coolest thing I saw this year, and it;s so young....very promising
I’m buying one of these real soon.. looks like soo much fun
I see military potential for fast advancing troops or scouts. It works on every terrain
Does this wheel feel like the “headroom” would give say a 200-210lb rider the same comfort level, ripping the streets, spirited riding like yourself? Taking it 100% down to 50-45% battery capacity?

whats the reason u wear the alpine star motorcycle shoes? i've been always riding in barefoot shoes, but now that you've made such a strong rec for the alpine stars i'm wondering what benefit i would get from riding in them instead of my barefoot shoes
protection, they are thick and if you crash your shoes could drag pavement at high speeds and the motorcycle shoes would be much more protection than barefoot shoes. The barefoot shoes are cool though for just cruisin or slower rides maybe at the beach or something. Any crash over 40 mph in barefoot shoes and your feet would be injured likely. The motorcycle shoes can take some heavy hits and abrasive crashes.
I had a cutout on a different wheel going about 30mph a couple months ago over concrete pavement. I was just wearing old tennis shoes. The tops of them got shredded pretty good. Any faster, and my toes would have been hurt. I had not thought about riding shoes, though. Good idea.
@@choochtech Well you definitely haven't thought a crash through. Dragging it along the ground is your reason for boots?
Try utterly destroying your foot because it gets torqued in a direction it isn't meant to bend, or with enough force to obliterate the tiny bones in your feet. If you don't wear CE lvl 2 boots with something like this at all times, you're an idiot who deserves the life-long trauma you're going to have when you crash it.
I say that as someone who's had to have 2 foot surgeries because of a slow 20kmh crash on a motorbike, with $600 boots that weren't quite stiff enough.
That looks like a lot of fun. I think my knees would give out after about a minute though.
This video is absolutely amazing. 💯🥇
Will you also test V14? :)
I hope to, I seem to like the inmotion wheels and rack up the miles and content on em. Really want to try the v14! Think it will be epic in its own right, I want to get the pedal risers for it and go take it to some gnarly rocky trails!
Nobody's talking about this magical flying cameraman but I'm 110% focused on that guy, baby. That's one rock and roll wizard filming you right there.

There have been talks within the Government about regulation and or banning these cause riders are getting too carried away as usual. Another thing is that even cops know they cant chase people on these cause the rider can go just about anywhere with such ease and so quickly too.
Grow some balls, nobody is worried about them banning anything just ride it in a closed environment if your scared.

The way you have that drone following you makes it look like you're in a video game. It's fun to watch

The fact you are riding on the pavement/sidewalk and speeding everywhere just makes me hate these things even more 😐

Oh booo hoooo
probably best to let these lesser educated expend themselves for us, rather than letting them integrate into meaningful societal positions. this one claims to have struggled with K-12... note that is american secondary school, not their university level 😂
You'll understand when you get kids. @@jaybomb5022
@markdavison8602 It's a 360-degree camera. You can adjust the viewing angle post filming.
Lol, I thought that was Denver before I saw the blue bear. Thanks for the review.
one of the best rides yet
you may have mentioned but perhaps having a wider wheel or heavier wheel would stop the wobbles. awesome machine. cant wait to have one.
