I love all the interior storage, the good sized bathroom and the kitchen. I dislike the ladder to the roof. Not to much to dislike about this one.
Hi Matt and Will this trailer looks really nice Grand Design did a grest job on it. Only two things I didn’t like was where they put the ladder and the tires. But everything else was great. It’s spacious on the inside. It’s really nice on the outside and love the outdoor kitchen even with no sink it still usable. Thank Grand Design and Matt and Will. See you next time.
I also love the porclin toilet
Great review I like when you guys do more entry-level stuff that more people can afford. I like watching the high-end stuff but in all honesty more people are like me in my look at entry-level stuff thanks for showing us.
Thoughtful design in a nice-looking trailer. The outside "kitchen" is handy, and even the refrigerator door opens so it's out of the way. The open cubbies on the cabinet just inside the door would be a great place to keep shoes; the kitchen is small be serviceable, bunks are not like crypts, and the bathroom is very well planned.
Surprised you didn’t take a closer look at the sophisticated wet bay. Not uncommon on higher end trailers but you hardly ever see one that nice in a stick & tin model. Also the tank sizes - 68 fresh is good but 78 gallons gray is a HUGE advantage especially for boondocking. And the build quality on these is really superior even compared to high end trailers. Thanks for the tour guys!
Matt, I would like to make a request for future videos regarding slides. Would you be able to *bing* in an insert picture of the trailers with their slides in? This way we can see what they look like slide-in and it will still save time for your videos.
Wow, I really like this. Wish it had a king-size bed but it's OK especially with the one pocket door. The brown cabinetry is nice, even with the matching refrigerator (especially all the same brand). I like the placement of the kitchen and that extra peninsula by the dinette. I wish you'd sat down to see how big/small the seating was. Bathroom is great!!! It's very nice for the price. I'd take out the bunks for a desk (if possible).
The 3 I like about this travel trailer:
1.the water hookups, black tank flush, and easy access to the black tank dump
2. the layout and the amount of windows combo that with the bathroom
3. the awning goes over the outside kitchen
The 3 I don't like about this travel trailer:
1. the entry steps
2. the ladder
3. no sink in the outside kitchen
Guys, I love your reviews, but I think you missed one of the best - possibly most innovative features of this TT. The counter and cubbies right inside the door. A place for shoe storage! I really enjoyed seeing that. I think you also gave the kitchen short shift. There was more counter space in this entry level TT than there was in the Pace Arrow motorhome video posted on same day. Keep the towable reviews coming! Thanks.
Love everything but the bath location. I prefer the bath next to the Master away from the living area.
This has the kind of floor plan I was looking for in a trailer! And the price is great too! Thanks guys!
This is definitely a family weekender. Wouldn’t keep it out in the winter. Would definitely have to store it inside. Ya know, Wood framing and all. I was never too fond of these floor plans. Don’t like the open bunks. To each is own. The price is pretty good though.
This proves that thoughtful design need not cost more. This is a great entry level trailer that a small family could pay cash for without going broke and would pay for itself after a couple of vacations. Although the wide profile aluminum panels look much better than most I wonder about the longevity of this type of construction especially when it comes to water intrusion.
This is nice for what it is
Nice for it’s size
Matt's RV Reviews Towables - now available in both short-n-big (Matt) and tall-n-big (Will). Get yours today!
I think Will's fitting in nicely and is doing a good job. Haven't seen him bang his head on anything yet. And I agree on this new trend of going towards ladders that have little to no room to squarely get your foot in there - that's just a lawsuit waiting to happen. I was in the Army for over a decade and even our "designed and installed by the lowest bidder" ladders on the sides of some our vehicles were better than that. Fold-down STEPS are better than that! It was easier and safer getting on and off my M1A1 Heavy tank during a combat deployment while under fire than it is climbing those ladders.
off-topic: Is anyone even having any RV shows next year or have they all been canceled/"virtualized" due to the coof?
For the $$$ this is an awesome unit. ❤️❤️❤️
We love Grand Design towables. Love the bathroom. Amazing space. We don't need bunks, but they are great for families with small kids.
Three things I like are...the kitchen area, the outdoor kitchen and motorized hitch. Three things I don’t like are...as much as I like the kitchen I just don’t like wood on the refrigerator, the ladder-it seems like it is just too close to the wall of the trailer-no where to put your feet, and I would have like a few cabinets above the couch.
This is very nice. I just wish the bunk beds were like in a room with a little independecy and privacy
In a trailer this small I think you are kicking the kids out anyway when it's mommy and daddy time.
@@lancomedic 😆😆😆 true. But I kinda was thinking about adult guests to have some privacy I know it has curtains but well a door would be nice
Likes:
Open floorplan and I like the cabinet next to the door - would be great place for shoes
Bathroom layout with no shower curtain
Outside kitchen
Dislikes:
Stove area is a little cramped
Wardrobe space is very limited
Dark wood color - is it so much more expensive to use lighter colors??
I like it!
I liked the video and love this trailer design. I'd like it without the bunks though.. Also I miss seeing what the interiors look like with the slides in like you do with the RV's..
Nice floorplan and retry level TT. My 3's:
Dislikes: 1.Outside kitchen is lame. 2. Cramped going into the bathroom. 3. I don't like the fact that the bunks are all open. It will be tough to get kiddos to stay asleep if adults stay up later.
Likes: 1. I like the cabinet just inside the door. 2. Like rhe wood grain refrigerator.
3. Like the bathroom. Thanks.
First of all I like the price, the space inside, and spacious ref & oven below cooker, good full bath👍ping
Maybe the reason that they put the ladder on the side of the trailer instead of the back is so that you can clean the top of the slide without getting on the roof.
Love Grand Design!!
Likes: 1. Separate bedroom with walk around bed and storage. 2. Overall layout allowing for it to feel spacious when the whole family is in the living area. 3. Furrion appliances in kitchen. 4. Storage area in entry way for shoes and extra counter space. 5. Dinette and a sofa, often in entry level trailers you get one not both. 6. I like the openness of the bunk area, mind is spinning wondering if bunks could be removed for desk area for crafting, hmm? 7. Love the bathroom, they always include storage and this trailer delivered. Storage, nice shower, and toilet! 8. Storage in kitchen. 9. Outside storage. 10. Black tank flush, dump area and wet bay. 11. Power tongue jack. 12. Large fresh water tank.
Dislikes: 1. Ladder placement. 2 Steps into trailer. 3, Wood not aluminum construction. 4. Emergency window in bedroom looks a little small.
Great for a small family. But not for a single guy. Bunks just waste to much precious space. But if you are looking for a Bunk House. This is a good floor plan.
Verry nice unit don't like the ladder if it's weak I way I wiegh 235
Side ladder is because where the skylight is in bathroom
This would be the entry level trailer I would buy. I love the floor plan. I love everything about the inside of this trailer.
Agree with all of Matt's & Will's likes and dislikes.
Other Likes:
Power tongue jack
Pass through basement storage
Cam prep
Other Dislikes:
Wood and Aluminum (understand it keeps the price down)
Prefer bathroom adjacent to bedroom
Prefer centrally located TV in bedroom
Thank you guys!
This is amazing for entry level from Grand Design (it’s nearly perfect)
Love :
The floor plan
Kitchen is terrific with good counter space and the appliances are perfect for the size (plus the outside kitchen)
Open bunk area
Bathroom has plenty of storage
Shower “curtain”
Porcelain toilet!
Dislikes:
That ladder looks sketchy
Is it prepped for solar?
Cheap tires and wheel wells
Thank you!
Hopefully pricing in today's market is still reasonable.
You know having Will along for these trailers is a good idea. His height and everything gives a good real world idea of space. I like that because even though I'm not 6 foot I don't like to be cramped either.
I like the bathroom itself, however I don't like it's location. It opens into the dining room. Put it by the bedroom. I like the flooring and the bedroom area. Nice appliances. Could you please tell us about how this is heated ?
You have shown a few Grand Design towables. We really like this one and the 2600rb. Thank you! Decisions, decisions.
Could you guys start showing the slides in on the towable‘s so we can see what you can get to on driving days
Emily Anderson yes please 👍🏽
Wow, I really like how open that camper feels! 100% would pull that teeny outside fridge out and put a washer/dryer combo. It has enough cold storage with that inside fridge. That’s pretty much my only “dislike. Everything else is amazing!
That's a good idea about the washer/dryer combo.
Great job guys!
Nice layout but don’t like fridge and stove on a slide. Also looked lime could not open kitchen cabinet door fully. Take out bunks and add little more to bathroom as well as a closet
Nice looking trailer, and for the price, what a value. I'd like to see a manufacturer do a travel trailer similar to this floorplan layout, but without the bunk area. Like a couples deluxe model. Extend the bathroom into the bunk area, add a washer/dryer, and add a nice sized pantry or closet or desk set up all in the bunk area as well. I think a lot of couples would love the functionality and real use they could get out of that.
1. Bathroom, shower is a good size and placement of the sink and toilet are practical.
2. Like the different set up of the kitchen. Every budget friendly trailer has the same basic design, like the change up. And love the 12volt compressor refrigerator.
3. Living area is simple but wide open and cozy. Sofa looks great and is placed perfectly across from the TV and dinnett.
3. Dislikes
1. Ladder on the side of trailer for sure.
2. Placement of TV in the bedroom, makes no sense to have it all the way at the top corner on the side wall parallel to the bed.
3. Stove and oven. The stove top really could use a little bit more room on the sides, and definitely a backsplash. Even a cheap wall plastic wall covering. The oven could be a little bit bigger. Goodluck finding Barbie Doll cook ware to fit in it.
Good job Matt and Will. Keep up the good work and enjoy your vids.
Yes, my favorite time of night. Matt Time
That's a nice layout on a less expensive trailer. I would suggest for an individual or a couple, eliminate the bunks. This way you could expand the bathroom a bit or put a drop down table along the back wall for a desk area. Folding chair could be stored under the bed. Microwave could be a bit bigger. However, with the growing popularity of air fryer ovens, that would eliminate the need for a larger microwave. I also like "the island" set against the dining area. More counter and storage space without taking up much space. This is a great priced starter trailer. Love it!
Three thing we like:
Oven
Fridge
exterior
Three things we don't like:
Bunks
ladder
Bedroom
For entry level travel trailers, the Transcends are, in my opinion, the best of the best! Thanks for the video Matt and Will! Love the fact that you can get a really nice kitchen, sink, pull out sprayer, love the matching Furion appliances, especially the fridge, the cabinets are great, the outside kitchen is ok but not great, and the bathroom is pretty good especially the shower. I almost forgot but like the fact they put a power tongue jack on the entry level Transcends.
Hi Matt--- the ladder appears to stow against the RV wall but has two pins at the bottom which let it pivot away from the wall to let you climb it and get your feet fully on the rungs.
I like the high end features, bathroom, and the tv placement. I don't like the ladder, no solid steps, and 1 ac.
Matt have you seen the 2021 keystone passport 3400QD? I absolutely adore it. Really would love to see your opinion about it
Hi Matt, Hi Will
Likes:
Electric tongue jack
Massive basement storage, with nice wet bay
Small outside kitchen
TV placement across from sofa
Nice kitchen
Affordable price
Great for a family
Big shower
Porcelain potty
Like the area for shoes, books or maps
Spare tire is easy to get to
Dislikes: none that would make me not want to buy it
Thanks guys
Hey Matt ... Maybe U & Will Can Get a Drone to Film the Top of the RV's When U Dont Want to Climb on the Ladder ?? Thanks for the Reviews I Love them & Watch them All the Time
I'll get one because I don't have walk on roof and I need to inspect it. Great idea.
So excited that you ate the “c” in Transcend in the thumbnail 😂😂😂 and three times in the description.
Matt, I agree with you and Will on pros and cons. There were two things you didn’t point out. First, there was some type of control center near the bedroom. Second there looked to be a radio in the cabinet beside the TV above the dinette. Also, I would like to know about the AC and heat. I like this trailer! Keep up the great videos. Jim
Likes - counter top space, shower size, price
Dislikes - no sink in outdoor kitchen, no backsplash in kitchen, ladder
I have a dislike, the lack of storage. We had an old 26’ travel trailer with no slide and had 3x the amount of storage!
Loving the videos!! Might I suggest you set up playlists by Make?
nice one !
Not for nothing but why is the grey tank bigger than the fresh tank?
Good design on this trailer at this price point.
Is the roof walkable? Is it pre-wired for solar? How accessible are the functions when the slide is in? Thanks!
Here we go now 😎 I like 1) the slide out, 2) the power tongue Jack, & 3) MSRP. I dislike 1) the black rock guard, 2) the tire rims (prefer chrome or aluminum), & 3) the side ladder.
Just my opinion ...
LIKES:
1. Spacious interior & interior colors
2. TV placement (in living area)
3. Bunk (layout: spacious and windows)
DISLIKES:
1. Dinette table design (round the edges)
2. Ladder (too close to the unit)
3. Window size in bedroom (maybe make them bigger)
I like this trailer. The color of the cabinets are great. I love the sofa and the shower. Do they offer a floor plan without the bunks? Don’t like the ladder for the roof and wish it had a convection microwave.
This is a nice trailer for this price point. I would need to upgrade the tires and buy a real ladder, but those are easy upgrades.
Love that these are now standard with solar already installed with inverter and 12 volt refrigerator. Also like the bathroom size and PPPP. Dislike the side ladder and the all dark brown colors. We wish they had kept the 187mk with the Murphy bed over the new 200mk. This puts the Imagine xls 17mke at the top.
Absolutely love my Grand Design Imagine. That said, the sink in the huge bathroom is too small to wash your hands. But the bigger gripe, is the fact that the gray tank valve, not sure which one, do not close all the way. You get about 2 gallons of grey water dumping out when you pull the drain cap.
More than likely, this is some ABS cement that ended up leaking into the valve guide.
Why?? Do you hate the ladder?? What’s the issue with it?
It’s really annoying when anyone says they hate something without an explanation.
Haw long is the box length
Love the lack of wavy outside stripes
3 Likes:
1: Nice bathroom
2: Spacious layout
3: Clean, modern, and simple exterior and interior design
3 Dislikes:
1: Weird ladder location
2: No sink for the outdoor kitchen
3: Cheap-looking wheels
Does this have a good insulation layer.
Is the fridge door one of those that open in both directions ?
Let's see it with the side closed.
I don't like the outdoor kitchen. It takes away from the inside. I don't like that style of bunks. Give me the option to fold them up. I don't like cheap countertops. I do love that bathroom. The kitchen is passable considering the price of the trailer. I like that the awning is so large.
Wheels look fine I disagree with Matt on this one. Great trailer for the price.
Burned out on towables.
Go through the video and count how many times they say "entry level trailer " 🤔
Matt please bring back your wife. She has much more enthusiasm and works the camera better :)
Likes, kitchen, good bathroom, storage pass through outside
Dislike, too limited storage inside, ladder, bedroom TV placement, battery should be inside.
Sorry, but I don't see anything "Grand" about this "Stick n Tin".
