    3 things I like:
    1) I actually do like that sink outside the bathroom. I didn't think I'd like it, but I do. Someone can handle other bathroom business while someone's shaving or putting on makeup. It's nice.
    2) It's got good sleeping capacity while still having some living space, especially with that sofa
    3) The outdoor kitchen has a sink. I like that. It's sad how many of these have an outdoor kitchen just for the sake of saying they have it, but it's just a mini-fridge and/or a cooktop and nothing else.
    3 things I dislike:
    1) The bathroom looks a bit too cramped. They probably could've angled the toilet to get a bit more sitting space.
    2) The space between the fridge & bunks, does seem a bit cramped as well
    3) It could use a bit more storage. If I had one, I'd probably just gut the dinette, eat at the sofa with a folding table, and put some storage where the dinette was. Maybe I would even put in a washer-dryer combo unit, so it could be good for longer trips.

      Yep. The sink outside the bathroom is great for families. We had a Skamper ultra with this floor plan and 6 of us could camp in this. We did trips up to two weeks in this floor plan.

    Hi Matt & Will, just watched your video about the 2021 Avenger 26BK on Sunday, July 17, 2022. Nice work & job well done! Coincidently, my wife & I and our 11 yr old daughter & 9 yr old son purchased a 2022 Prime Time RV Avenger 26BK (Division of Forest River) yesterday at a small family owned RV Dealership Alpin Haus (in business for over 50 years since 1964) just north of Saratoga, NY near Lake George on Saturday, July 16, 2022!!! We live 3 hours from Saratoga, NY in the metro-west suburbs of Boston near Lexington & Concord Battlefield (Minute Man National Historical Park). You & Will are right on the money about pros & cons with this Prime Time RV Avenger 26BK! We selected the Avenger 26BK bc of the size, length, weight, all of the items included, and didn't want a slide-out bc for us it is just another place for water to leak or something to break. What town or city of Virginia are you making your videos? What is the Avenger 26BK MSRP cost at the RV dealership in VA heading into late summer 2022? Has the price increased for the Avenger 26BK since your 2020 video? We pick up the 2022 Avenger 26BK on Fri, August 5, 2022! Taking to Kelley's Island State Park (Lake Erie, Ohio) and then back thru southern Ohio to West Virginia to western Pennsylvania to New York to Connecticut to Massachusetts. We researched travel trailers since June 2020, rented trailers in 2021 & 2022, & this is our first ever RV! We'll let you know how the 2022 Avenger 26BK handled on our two week family vacation, how it fit our family of four, and overall impression. Keep up the informative, down to earth, & forthright videos! We enjoy your perspectives!!! - Kevin & Anne (Maynard, Massachusetts)

    The 3 things I like about this travel trailer:
    1. outside kitchen with plumbed through sink
    2. bathroom sink is outside giving you a little bit of room and somewhat good size shower
    3. TV placement is directly across from the sofa
    The 3 things I don't like about this travel trailer:
    1. short awning, does not cover the outside
    2. vents in the floor
    3. latch to keep the entry door open

    Here we go now. I like 1) the small but functional outdoor kitchen, 2) the good size bed & bedroom door, & 3) MSRP given the sleeping capacity. I dislike 1) no ladder, 2) no power tongue jack (I understand it’s a price point issue but it can’t cost that much more to add the power jack), & 3) the tired & rims.

    I love
    1) That there is a door to the bedroom.
    2) Stove!!
    3) Bathroom is spacious enough for me. I'm 5'4" and 125 lbs, so I can make it work.
    4) The couch actually looks comfortable.
    I dislike
    1) The Dinette - I will never use it. I guess I'm a bit odd for that.
    2) Plastic toilet
    3) Shower curtain - They tend to cling to you.
    Thanks for the video, guys! I also love the "Avengers" in the name.

    • @InfernosReaper
      @InfernosReaper Před 3 lety +1

      I too have no idea why dinettes are still a thing in these smaller units, especially one like that that has a decent sofa.
      If I had one I'd probably gut the dinette and replace it with something more useful.

  • @TammiHartung
    @TammiHartung Před 3 lety +2

    Likes:
    Decent kitchen given the entry level
    Outside kitchen (on an entry level?!)
    Love the bathroom sink on the outside of the bathroom - one person can brush their teeth, do their hair, whatever while someone else is taking a shower. Also, anyone who needs the toilet wouldn’t have to wait (and wait) for someone to finish getting ready.
    Dislikes
    I don’t feel like I can really pick on this too much given it’s entry level so anything I’d pick on would be solved by going up a level or two in towable levels.

    Love that you are doing some entry level trailers without slides!
    Dislikes: 1. Bathroom toilet placement (I could upgrade the toilet but the placement can't be changed). 2. Microwave, in a trailer this small a microwave is not needed. It is taking up valuable storage space. 3. No ladder. Checking for leaks around all openings in the roof is important to prevent water damage.
    Likes: 1. Study step entry. 2. Walk around bed with storage and door for privacy. 3. Large sink in kitchen and large fridge for this size trailer. 4. Living area is open (hallway kinda small but the rest is good). 5. Large awning. 6. Price makes it affordable for families.

    @amandaraymond9488 Před 3 lety

    I would prefer a power toung jack with power auto leveling. On the inside in the bunk area, I would leave the bathroom vanity where it is, take out the bunk area extend the wall in the bathroom to make room for washer and dryer with hook ups and turn the front half of the bunk into a word robe with a small decided section for a small pantry.

    • @InfernosReaper
      @InfernosReaper Před 3 lety

      The bunks are over the outdoor kitchen and you probably wouldn't have enough room for a stack if the outdoor kitchen remained, but a combo unit could work...
      .
      If the bottom bunk were turned into laundry(accessible from the bathroom) and more storage, it would actually make the top bunk able to handle a bit more weight, if one wanted to keep that. I think it's an interesting compromise on getting rid of it entirely. The top bunk space could still be used for storage, but still be available as a bed if needed

    Interior height needs at least 6 more inches, more storage like above and beside couch and in dinette, solar on roof, prep at least - a front window would be nice, above bed, to get more light in there.
    Like the underbed storage, that bunks are pretty wide, fairly neutral paint job.

  • @plektosgaming
    @plektosgaming Před 3 lety

    + nice dinette, though honestly a desk there and a movable table in front of the couch would work just as well.
    + outside kitchen is at a good height
    + price
    - The bunk should be a single bed and raised about 1 more foot, to allow storage under it. Better yet, the single bed also folds away to make a closet.
    - Floor vents
    - Door latch as Matt mentioned. Plastic on wear-prone parts is asking to break. Not if, but when.

  • @OldenfeldPlayers
    @OldenfeldPlayers Před 3 lety

    This is closer to what campers were like decades a go. With no slide-outs, you had very few ways you could lay the camper out. I think it's a good entry level, and if it's in the low 20's a good place for folks to start out. Things I like: the outdoor kitchen, the closable door for the bedroom and I think the bathroom is fine (I'm 5'7" though). Things I don't like: the awning should either be wide enough to cover the outside kitchen, or moved to the rear so it does cover the kitchen.
    I'd upgrade to a convention microwave, the fact it has only 1 AC, if you close any of the bedroom doors, you get no AC. I'm not sure the bunks should have a wall and door. I realize they did that so there'd be a place to put a TV, but those bunks are going to be too claustrophobic with the door shut. In this size of a camper, I'd ditch the bathroom sink and put in more storage. There's a sink outside for folks to wash their hands, right?
    Overall though, I think the camper is a good basic one, and though I don't think you could put 9 folks in it (some of that 9 would have to be kids and they'd have to sleep together). One big improvement for me would be to have the option to ditch the outside kitchen, and have an access door in the rear, and a fold up-able lower bunk, so you could put bikes/kayaks in the bunk area. Thank you for reviewing it!

    I like this one but had a couple of questions:
    1) can you remove the outside kitchen and just use area as storage?
    2) can a hydraulic lift be put on the bed to help hold it up to get to hidden storage?
    3) can the toilet be converted to a cassette toilet.

    Likes: interior space organization
    Outside steps into it
    Huge window! Absolutely love it.
    Dislikes: outdoor kitchen- looks cramped especially headspace wise & generally not a fan of them
    Bunks. I get claustrophobic just imagining anyone of any age lying on them
    Dinky space by toilet
    What I would do: rip out that nice feature wall, the dinette & the bunks, or just the top one depending on the space that the outdoor kitchen takes up & move the bathroom wall so elbows have room. Replace that couch with something comfortable & nice looking. The bunk space can be a cozy place to relax, mini library/storage, hobby workspace. And dog bed.
