    Now we are talking!!!
    This is Qawwali music. A tradition dating back to the 13th century India.
    Ustad Rahat is good, but Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali khan is the GOD of Music.
    He is Rahat's uncle and his teacher too. He trained him from a very early age.
    Ustaad Nusrat is popularly known as the Emperor of Qawwali, which is mainly all improvisation.
    Nusrat's usual performances easily stretched to 3 to 4 hours with each song being 25 minutes or more,sometimes even an hour because of heavy improvisation.
    Here's a video of Ustad Nusrat improvising:

      @puneetmishra4726 Před rokem

      If I'm not wrong, qawwali is relatively new. Like only in early 18th century, in times of Badshah Rangeela. There are several traditions which you can say are roots of qawwali, like "sama". these traditions however severely prohibited and condemned use of musical instrument and lyrics were heavily censored too. It was only in court culture of Lucknow region that qawwali gained its present form where there are even lyrics like
      "Dil mein hai chahat-i-hūr-o-jannat
      Aur bahir mein shauk-i-ībādat
      Bas hamein Sheikhji aap jaise
      Allah walo se Allah se bachaye"
      Such lyrics are practically blasphemous according to Auliya

    I am new to your channel guys, and have kind of been binging on your videos. But I have to say, I am so shocked you guys haven't reacted to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan yet!!! I am so excited for you guys to do this while I am able to watch it as an upcoming video and not one I'm catching up on from the past.
    As you guys love Rahat so much, you will LOVE Nusrat. He's actually Rahat' s uncle and is still considered the God of this music style (Qawwali) even after he passed away. His name is still used with the utmost respect today. Like Ravi Shankar was famous for making the sitar popular worldwide, Nusrat did the same for this music style.
    Please react to him at some point soon! I would recommend: Allah Hoo, Tumhe Dillagi Bhool Jaani Paregi, Yaadan Vichre Sajan Diyan to start with, but there are SO many more. You will also see Rahat at a young kid singing in these videos before his voice even broke, as he studied under Nusrat 😁
    All those song suggestions above are for the traditional Qawwali style, but Nusrat also did some songs for Bollywood. One of my favourites is Dulhe Ka Sehra. Please, please react to him soon! Much love from the UK!! X
