You should listen to "Ankh Uthhi" by NFAK. An interesting fact about that song, the harmonium prelude, played by his brother Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan(father of Rahat) is close to 15 minutes long, and every section of that prelude has "inspired" 4-5 Bollywood songs. So that's a total of 12-15 Bollywood songs from just that 15 min intro. Astounding!
It is incredibly shameful for me, as an Indian, that how Bollywood has just ripped this man off in everyway, stripping him of his due credits. A sad reality.

Qawalli is one of the great music genres. Amir khusro invented this genre in the 13th century. NFAK is one of the greatest ever Qawalli singers and came from one of the original "bacha" family that was trained by no other but Amir Khusro and has been passing on to the next generation. The young guy to the extreme front is Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and now is the main torch bearer of this classical trained music family.

This one song is just the tip of the Ice berg that Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan has to offer. If you really want to cry then I recomend you listen to "Tum Ek Gorakh Dhanda". It's very deep and requires a lot of historical and relgious background of multiple religions both Islam, Christianity and Hinduism and most of all the religion of love.

There's no harm in admitting the truth; you're a rare one who actually will. If you take a look at Coke Studio and Nescafe Basement, it will only give you a glimpse of the talent in Pakistan. It is very sad that the Bollywood Chappa Factory constantly steals songs from Pakistan when they have many talented people there who are capable of producing new music. Anti-Pakistan movies with stolen Pakistani songs are beghairaty on a different level and very embarrassing, to say the least.
Indian music industry is not Indian anymore...it has become garbage...when Indian music industry was really Indian they produced gems of singers and songs.
