@@naqvial_hussaini397 no sir you are wrong it all developed in India in Islam music was not that common. It is when Persians came to India. The Indian folk (which btw at that time included Pakistan so chill) fused with persian music and we got hindustani classical. Just because India got partitioned it doesn't mean the name of the artform will change. And hindustani has nothing to do with Hindus it was a name given by Muslims who came to India. So chill bro. Just because Pakistan was made in 1947 it doesn't mean entire history will be rewritten. When hindustani classical which includes( qawwali gazal thumri rubai etc..) was in full flow the concept of Pakistan was not even originated. And sorry for Abhishek Gupta harsh reply. But he is right his manner was not right. And its not your fault either Pakistan needed some identity for its new country so they started twisting history after partition because they could not digest anything related to India. But thankfully India did nothing of that sort because we had all kinds of people so we never felt the need to change history to please someone. But now BJP is tryi g hard but they won't succeed as they are already starting to loose state elections.

@@naqvial_hussaini397 you need to educate yourself about your country's history and the world history after that. The rest of the world existed even before the likes of you flew around labelling things as Pakistani. Qawwali is part of Sufism (Islamic) and existed long before Pakistan came into existence (1947 to be precise). It saw it's golden period in Indian subcontinent ( India, Pakistan, Bangladesh), prior to separation. And by the way, the so called Pakistani protectors of culture shot dead one of the maestro in this video. Pakistan has only gone on to kill most, if not all, things liberal and modern, even art and culture. We are thankful that we still have a few gems alive in that part of the world. May God keep them safe and may we continue to be blessed by their presence and talent.

This makes my heart warm but also breaks my heart at the same time. Warm because I could see right here that music has no borders in all its forms. Rick and Korbin along with people from the other side of the border commenting below, I can confirm that when it comes to music, all hatred goes out of the window because you become powerless in front of the music that has the power to even transcend your soul and take you anywhere in the world.
It breaks my heart because one of these legends was silenced forever not too long ago. I cried myself to sleep that day and still do, whenever I think of Amjad Sabri. This voice, that had the power to take us away from our worries, and send us to a million colorful places at the same time, was sent into a dark grave by some cruel, pathetic, vile people who shot him because they didn't agree with his views. Rest in Peace, Sir, the love for you keeps growing.
You can react to his Tajidare Haram, it is incredible. Not the coke studio version. Also Tera wo pyar is a great song from coke studio too.

Btw.. puhleez don't prove to me or anyone else about you being idiot because if you feel the need to do that i.e. get validation from people on social media whom you don't know from eons well god bless you munchkin'. Let it go.. let it goo.. then anyone's religion/belief/spirituality and nationality won't bother you anymore. Toodles, snowflake! Godspeed!!
P.S. -- On a serious note, I am not trying to belittle your opinion you are as much entitled to yours as I am to mine. I am just trying to reiterate that even if there is an iota of truth in that agendist article even a speck of it I say do you think it fits into current scheme of India as a country housing so many religions/beliefs and spirituality.? Though I have strong emotions about the torture, plunder and mayhem India and Hindu/Sikh suffered at the hands of brutal invaders for centuries but you and I both know those invasions and their casualties could have been scaled down if only our very own local Hindu and Sikh rulers wouldn't have turned on each other for the sake of their own power tussle. Maharaj Prithviraj Chauhan III was killed by Mohammad of Ghor we all know that but didn't his conflict with regional hindu kings facilitated that? Mohammad of Ghor eventually appointed Prithviraj III's son Govindraja IV as the heir to Chauhan dynasty and his vassal. So you see more than being a religionist( read: Islam) plunder, it was more of a political play between great kingdoms of those times to establish their own supremacy by ruling vast chunks of land. If you think Islamic invasion of India and British occupation was all about some crusade against Hinduism then it wasn't; for most part it was plain and simple POLITICAL EXPANSION & POWER that drove them. And, yk subjugation is the best form of establishing that so there comes the crusade part of it. It was about ruling religion being in control of every other under it. History teaches us to not repeat our mistakes. Don't allow the need of ruling religion to police every other under it as a tale of caution for it applies even today after hundreds of years.
