There are 5 love stories depicted in this song and each one is of different nature and ends in a different way.
1. This girl in white, she is standing on the hill where she always used to meet her boyfriend, who is seen leaving her (white shirt guy sitting in bus). She later commits suicide, listen to the line in the song when she throws herself down with her arms open & a smile on her face..
"haste haste aashiq suli chad jayein.." or "lovers embrace death willingly"
2. There is this couple that actually meets and is seen smiling till the end, looks like this is the story of.. "and they lived happily ever after".
3. In this case the girl is seen leaving her boyfriend in a tempo, the boyfriend is running behind her to stop her.. she finally leaves him, he gets tired, stops and lets her go, she is seen satisfied by that, look at her smile in the end.
4. This is what makes this song special. The guy with knife wasn't her lover, he was contracted to kill her, look the way he's standing on her regular way and waiting for her.
Look at her reaction and facial expression when he draws her close and just observe the way his expressions change in the next few moments, she sees through his eyes and you can clearly see the connection, he instantly falls in love with her and lets her go. She doesn't even know that he has come to kill her, when he pushes her away, that is when she sees the knife in his hand and starts running away.. Look the way she runs away, they were strangers, not lovers, but it takes a moment to fall in love.. and it lasts for a life time.
5. The girl dancing on the fort. She had turned mad in love and dances every night for her lover after the sunset in the orange-blue sky under the lights of firecrackers on a fort. This is the most beautiful part of the song for me. Touching. Lovely. Crazy. Passionate.
Apart from love stories, you can see that they have also tried to depict the love towards our religious faiths and gods. In the video you can see they have shown 3 religious guys looking towards their respective places of worship - A Hindu, a Muslim and later a Buddhist monk is shown looking towards the statue of Buddha.
One common thing - all these story lines show intense love and faith.
Hi. I thought No. 3 story was that the girl is leaving for work and the guy runs upto the bridge and stops there to watch her for a little while longer.

@X Spark I had so many questions when this song used to feature on TV. So confused 🤔. But whatever their story was they felt love inside them and saw that in each others eyes that inspired that boy not to hurt her and after sometime she realised that she saw that in his eyes. The girl sitting in the truck must be a daily wager or working with contractor. They move around as per work site. The man was chasing because its a feeling of losing someone also not knowing what the girl felt for him. When she smiled he could understand the love she felt and was at ease not chasing because love in your heart will still remain with you.
I think that this was the story. Anyone wants to add or correct is welcomed because it's all different perception too.

So from what i could gather the 5 love stories in this song were..atleast what i understood from the lyrics
1.first one was of love at first sight where a hitman was hired to kill the girl but upon looking at her he fell in love and let her go...because the lyrics said i went crazy just by looking at one glance at you
2.second was of the couple moving away...the one girl was sitting in the vehicle is going away and the guy is running after her...seemingly they had a relationship but it was over and even though it was hard they had to let each other go.
3.Third one was about the girl and boy in white dress...the guy i assume is dead and when lyrics said when you are crazy in love you embrace death..with visual of girl falling down...so i guess she dies to be with her lover after death
4.Fouth was about the girl in pink dress on balcony....i dont think there was anything on that...i guess it represents a love story that sucessed judging by both embracing each other and being happy
5.Personally i love the last one which is about the dancer on the rooftop who is in love with herself and content with herseld and so happy and euphoric that she dances all by herself without need for anyone else....
6.This song also shows images of various people looking at Temple,Mosque,Gurudwara, Buddha as a way of acknowledging the lope and devotion people have for their Gods as well..

Kailash Kher is known for his melodious and meaningful songs and 'Teri Deewani' is probably one of his best works! As good as this song is, it's the video that makes it truly a masterpiece. Please allow me try to break it down for you guys.
The video is a beautiful amalgam of 5 different stories blended into a 5 minute video.
🔹1st story: Incomplete Love
This girl in white salwar, is seen standing in the Golconda fort, a place where she meets her lover, (who is seen leaving her, white shirt guy sitting in bus).
She later commits suicide, pay attention to the line in the song when she is seen jumping from the top. "Haste haste aashiq suli chad jayein."🎼
🔹2nd Story: Complete Love
There is another couple that always meet up and are seen smiling till the very end, this completely contrasts with the 1st story.
This ends with "Kahin Ishq Di marzi hai, kahin Rab Di Marzi hai" 🎼
🔹3rd Story: Acceptance
In this case the girl is seen in a truck, leaving her boyfriend who is running behind it to stop her. He tries very hard but eventually he gets tired and gives up; He finally stops and let her go. They both are seen to be in harmony with this as you can notice from the smile in both of their faces.
🔹4th Story: Love at first sight
By the getup and looks, the guy wasn't her lover, he was maybe contracted to kill her. Notice the way he tries to block her.
Now, look at her reaction and facial expression when he draws her close and just observe his change in expression in the next few moments; she looks into his eyes and there certainly is a connection; He instantly falls in love with her and lets her go.
However, she doesn't really know yet that he is hired to kill her and when she sees the knife in his hand she starts running away; They were strangers, not lovers, but it took only a moment to fall in love.
Alternatively, It can be that the guy knew the girl and was in a one sided love? Notice the lines at 1:23 - "Tune kya kar dala mar gayi mein, mit gayi mein". He maybe is there to take revenge but lets her go nonetheless? The placement of the lyrics messes it up for me to conclude.
🔹5th Story: Passionate Love/Teri Deewani
This is how the title of the video was formed. "Tune kya kar dala, mar gayi mein, mit gayi mein. Teri Deewani, Teri Deewani 🎼 She has turned mad in love (Deewani) and dances every night for her lover after the sunset under the lights of firecrackers.
