The water is in the mess because of greed, pure, and simple greed
This is why the vote at the election is so important. This is beyond party politics, clean water is essential to every person in the UK.
Basic stuff isn’t it . Get the fundamentals right and build on it . We can’t even get the basics right , food , schools , roads , water etc etc
I would agree... but Labour's veto is making me feel dread that the government will change by the policies won't. I would love to be wrong on this.

But tories keep condemning the Scots yet we don't have these problems. Our water is nationalised and looked after. One way to get rid of the little english, have other countries look after their water..

Corbyn promised to address this issue in his fully costed manifesto, that was co-authored by experts and supported by more than 200 leading economists. Unfortunately the media in this country demonised him and painted a target on his back. James, like many others, will not accept their culpability. He speaks of cognitive dissonance. Sadly, on this issue, he needs to look into the mirror.
He also never talks about Klaus Schwab and the WEF's influence upon our political landscape..! 🤔🤬

Tried to ring he Water co, told I'd have an hour wait ! Why pay to dump sewage in rivers etc, we could do that ourselves
I have also rang our water company when this was first highlighted. They assured me that all was well, and the water safe, somehow I don't believe them.
We need to stop paying our water bill until they stop polluting our rivers & seas!
If we all refuse to pay, what can they do? One company has just announced profits of £120 million - take their profits off them to clear-up our waterways.
OFWAT complete waste of time and what a strange coincidence that a number of the senior managers/directors at OFWAT end up with jobs at the water companies. You might think do they have a vested intertest in not doing a lot.
The conservative party introduce their New Flagship policy for the British people - 3rd World Water. It's marvellous it lines the pockets of shareholders with every drop without having to provide the service necessary.

Water, electricity production, food, healthcare, police, gaols, building highways, fire dept & other vital infrastructure should NEVER BE SOLD to massive global corporations. When vital infrastructure is sold to the private sector, the public get the cost & the profits are privatised.

The catastrophe commenced when thatcher privatised everything. Ever since then uk infrastructure has had zero investment and has significantly declined; rail, water, housing are three very clear examples.
The worst bit is that these private companies do not act like normally businesses, they purely extract and invest nothing, they have paid out in shareholder dividends more than the profits. And the profits should be far less if they were investing correctly in long term business and service stability. The whole thing is disgusting and that £2b a year is the hard earned money of working people in the UK.

I work in a company that a few years back we’re under 3i , a 3 year investment company .
They pillaged us , no investment , stripped it to the core and left riding off into the sunset with saddles full of cash .
Imagine allowing this mentality into a water supplier/treatment provider .
Vultures don’t land to check if the animal is okay and needs help.
SAS, Surfers against Sewage started in St Agnes Cornwall many years ago. I’ve found myself swimming in agricultural runoffs and in this case the careless inadequate farmer was taken to court. How the water companies get away with what should be a criminal offense is beyond belief.
Cholera here we come. Nationalise the water down there like it is up here

I live in France - people would be on the streets and demanding that heads role if it got that bad here. We do have problems over here but the government is only too aware that massive riots on their watch is not a vote puller. When are you Brits going to get angry?

There is no British citizen. There is the little english, Welsh, NIrish and Scots. Scots have g8 water but it is nationalised.
Best guess on the pant/push Q? Muscles come in concentric and eccentric pairs, think bicep and tricep. When you pant/exhale you make your diaphragm push your lung cavity, when you push you are squeezing muscles in the other direction you can't extend you arm fully the same time to curl the same arm, the principle is the same as panting and pushing, worst you get a lock of competing motions.
Qualifications? A seminar about attitude and how if you imagine an imaginary thing is heavy the expectation makes u work the eccentric muscles to give that illusion, so a curl feels harder because your arm is pushing both ways to make reality match expectation.

As another Chris from Brixham (always saying I'd ring in, but never around due to work), I clearly missed the chance on this one! Also an ex water industry engineer too, a terribly funded industry with all the money being creamed off before the technical teams get it. Seems to be a similar theme with a lot of large organisations in the UK.
