Why would they do that simply because they have the same religion ? For a lot of these countries it's still mass immigration and ideals and identity are completely different. So like anywhere it destabilizes there hegemonic principals by having a large population increase who has a different identity. Like the difference between someone identifying as Persian vs. Arabian. But I would suppose to you on the outside they are all just middle eastern. Basically Israel got land that was populated so they by all means should integrate. As they are in fact brothers and sisters many of these Palestinians are descendants of some original Hebrews who never left. The religious aspect might have changed but the bloodlines remain.

When they attempted to take the continent during WW1, All their colonies were shared out with the allies. Then again WW2. Both Italy and Germany tried again. Plan was Italy takes the top half and Germany the bottom. Unfortunately the allies already had their bases. And they couldn't break through. Those colonies kept every African alive. Now we aren't there. But 3rd time lucky. Eh. Its coming. And that is why Germany has no colonies in Africa.

It's easy to say, if you don't like the rules of the school find another.
But if 50% of the pupils are Muslim it's most likely that they are attending their local feeder school, as most kids do. It is therefore not that easy to just go to another school due to the difficulties of getting a place outside your area.
It almost feels ruthless and vindictive for a head teacher to make those rules in a large percentage Muslim school.

People have different beliefs, some believe in praying and some do not believe in praying. Secularism was supposed to be religion-independent in the sense that it will not allow religious teachings to influence the school curriculum or allow imposition of religious-values in schools.
But now what we are talking about freedom of expression, freedom of speech, and freedom of thought.
Are we saying that if a person believes in praying that they are not allowed to practice their beliefs?
I don't agree with it, but I understand the argument that schools do not have to provide a prayer room and I had this rule when I attended college, but the what ALL students were allowed to do was use or book a room for any purpose, as long as it was not illegal, and people would book rooms for meetings, for homework, for debate, etc.
If someone wants, not a prayer room, but want to be able to pray, what is the issue? The Equality Act protects religious beliefs and does not allow discrimination against a person over their religious beliefs.
Are we seriously going to have a situation where wearing a crucifix, or hijab, or praying, in public is illegal, as it is in some countries, like Turkey?
Are we going to hunt down a student and exclude them from school, because we find them secretly praying somewhere, because praying offends certain people?
I am personally against people making a point of praying on public roads or trains, but living in an apparently free country that allows freedoms of expression, speech or though, how can one justify excluding people and banning them from expressing their religious vies or practicing their religion.
Iran is an Islamic country with a written constitution, based on Quran and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which there was a referendum on.
Under this constitution all religious minorities are allowed to practice their religion, and they are all represented in politics, but nobody can impose their religion on another. A marriage under Christian or Jewish rules, for example, are accepted as legitimate and do not have to be performed according to Islamic rules.
Yet in a society that claims to be a Democracy and that promotes it by wars, and goes on about freedom of speech, expression, and thought, they now want to prevent students from practicing their religion.
The solution is for students to attend non-secular schools, but there is also a campaign by secular politicians to ban even religious based schools.
The final point is that, yes, students do not have the right to pray however they want to, but the school is not talking about the way the students are praying, but they want a complete blanket ban on praying.
If the school allowed the student to go and pray privately in a room, not a prayer room, then I could support the school in not allowing prayer in the playground, but I do find it extreme to stop students from praying outside, as long as they are not forcing other students to pray.

Firstly!! The world needs more people like Barbara, perfectly put! Second, I'm confused about rhe whole Jewish people need a homeland! Therefore they should have a right to land because or there religion! I am a Muslim that does not mean I have an automatic right to land in Saudi Arabia! I was born in England jusy because I am a Muslim it doesn't give me a right to land anywhere else because of this!! Lastly as a Muslim with children of I want my kids to practise religion in school I would send them to a Muslim school!! Prayers can be done anywhere and often there are times when prayers can me made up! It is a secular school.. the parents who sent children there were fully aware of this before. So if a child continues to ignore the rules treat them like they were breaking any othere rule. Detentions, exclusions, and then expel of required. It's that simple!!
