Pilgrimage Flight Terror | Father Ted S2 E10 | Absolute Jokes

- On a flight back from pilgrimage, the priests' tour of the cockpit goes wrong and the plane's fuel supply is jettisoned.
Beloved sitcom focused on three priests living on Craggy Island, a remote island off the west coast of Ireland. Father Ted Crilly is sent to the island as punishment for using charitable funds for a holiday in Las Vegas, but his true punishment comes in the form of Father Dougal Maguire and Jack Hackett, one a fresh-faced naive young priest, and the other a foul-mouthed, rage-filled alcoholic. Mrs Doyle is their nosy housekeeper, who makes plentiful pots of tea and never takes `no' for an answer. Despite their isolation, the priests get into their fair share of mildly sinful, entirely madcap adventures.

How can you enjoy Mr. Bean being blind? This is genius.
Audio dramas.
The penny drops
'It's me, in the nip, with a dog.' Just about the most random moment in the entire series but I cry laughing every time I watch it hahahaha
20 years on, and it's lost none of its magic.
gsf67 for some reason when I hear “20 years ago” I picture the 70’s. No idea why.
@@emilinebelle7811 nows it's 50 years agp
@@emilinebelle7811 That’s because we’re still living in the 90’s. Oh why can’t it still be the 90’s?
So Father Larry Duff developed a fear of flying AFTER all those crashes he was in?! This after skiing over rocks, avalanche, car off a cliff, getting arrested for terrorism, mauled by 10 rottweilers, the wheel of death, to mention a few. The Indestructible Priest.
I'm exactly like Ted in this episode.. when things are going fine I tend to worry and become anxious, but when things go to shit I feel mentally prepared because I spent all that time worrying about every possible scenario in which something can go wrong.
@Riordan Plows no jam Trinity-jandhan Aadhar mobile , ok and I'm Hyderabadi
When you worry , you suffer twice
@Riordan Plows I don't work at an office, dickhead. I work with individuals with autism. I've gotten bitten.
Fat to Fierce I’m exactly the same
9:08 Listening to Mr. Bean... what a subtle joke.
L'Hermit d'Sevan yes of course! And it actually took you to write it out like that for me to finally get the joke too. Thanks mate!
I.....don't get it. (I've never seen Mr. Bean.)
@@lizzychrome7630 It's physical comedy, the character doesn't talk.
ooOOOoohhhh now i get it. haaAaa
Yeah I thought "what an awful thing to listen to, it's all visual" hahaha
Father fluffy bottom saves the day!!
Father Ted: "I feel fearless.... like Jeff Bridges in that movie"
Dougal: "I haven't seen that one"
Father Ted: "Not many people have Dougal. It's probably a bad reference"
Seriously funny stuff!!!
What movie is he talking about?
@@tesold1048 That's the name of it. Fearless.
@@tesold1048 fearless is a movie about a plane crash.
@@paullatimer1639 And it's a good movie.
Dougal hanging up the phone... sheer genius!
I'll tell how much of a telephone for dogs that joke phone is. First squeak out of it while watching this vid and my dog appeared by my side with an expectant look.
rachel lowrie comedy
haha
Your dog probably wanted to see someone trying to make a call on a trick phone.
"He doens't know he's a priest" is the best line of this episode, until 11:32 at least! Thank you so much for puttin' this on, Dead Parrot!!
Should we not have a bit of an old pray?
Father Ted is one of my favorite shows. The directing, writing, acting, it's perfection. I love Graham Norton and he portrays his character extremely well, love this one and the one with the cave.
This is better than hollywood films with airplanes 😂😂😂
The theme tune has a nostalgic, calming effect on me - memories of a better time! Wonderful.
Yeah, it’s kind of outdated…but GOOD!
Exact same here man
Oh my gosh, I'm gonna be so sad when I come to the end of this show!
As they say Classic Comedy NEVER GETS OLD it's such a shame that they don't make make shows like this anymore BUT I'm so grateful to dead parrot and You tube to be able to share these with the world and keep shows like this alive
Father Jacks worst nightmare. All that booze, and he can't reach it.
Still one of the best shows ever.
That's true! I just discovered it a couple of days ago... they almost never aired this on in my Country.
Totally agree!
15:19 Boom mic!
Yeah, I saw it.
It’s a bit sad, makes the show feel a bit tacky.
Graham Linehan's face HAHAHA
"Hey, we're on a plane!"
Lol!!
Binging on Father Ted! PS whenever you hear “Father Larry Duff”...
8:40 - Father Noel doesn't appear very often on the show, but even he obviosly heard about the Sealink incident :D
Graham Norton.
????
I like that there are only priests and nuns on the plane.
Hee Annelies, ja, ze komen net van bedevaart. Buurvrouw annelies uit waarder neem ik aan?
last scene is pure gold.
The plane is an RJ 115 on the outside but an a310 on the inside
Father Ted NEVER gets old ❤️😂😂😂.
Nope, he’ll never get old. He’ll ”stay” 45 y/o for the rest of time!
@@Thellbro sadly that is true :(
@@Thellbro "That's a bit morbid, isn't it?" The whole point is, life'll kill ya. You might as well laugh -- and, Mrs. Doyle would be the first to tell you, enjoy every sandwich. Listen to some Warren Zevon songs-- I bet the writers of this show like HIS work.
21:34 “ARRRRGGHHH!!! What am I doing on the feckin’ wheel?!!!! ARRRRRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!”
By far, my fav moment of the episode. And the reveal of Ted at 21:58 was hilarious too.
Today we can be anything we want
Your icon looks like Father Stack! Lol sorry
@@craffte I think that's Father Walton, the guy with that disease at stage twelve.
21:06 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Typical Noel 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fun fact: The pilot is played by Gerard Murphy, who has been in a number of things like Waterworld, Doctor Who and Batman Begins.
Thank you!
Oh yeah!!! The guy with ginger long hair in water world. The bad guy
But this must be the peak of his carrier!
He does a great job. Working on this show must have been fun for any actor! Or crew person.
Hiw the fuck is that a fun fact? "A role in this show was played by an actor"
Hey, WHERE ON A PLANE!!!
Lol 🤣🤣🤣
At around 8:28 you can hear someone in the crowd shouting something that sounds like "PRESS IT!"
March 2021, still comedy gold! 😂🤣
Thanks so much for this content! You are the best!
Thank for the Spanish subtitles 😍
Graham Norton! So cute🤩
Really? I find him annoying and irritating.
@@thadtuiol1717 The character may be annoying and irritating, but Graham Norton is not.
Thad tuiol
Agreed. Over the top flamboyance isn’t funny, just aggravating.
@@thadtuiol1717 Good, then he's done his job right.
@@hueynapalm He's sending it up, you eejit!
15:17. check the boom mic in above the dude's head lol
Thanks so much for posting!
08:50 - 09:10 "I'm listening to comedy on these, it's MR. BEAN." 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💪💪💪💪💪👍👍👍👍👍👍
Dougal's basically a child
than i guess he must molest priests
That’s the whole joke of it
A child of God 😇 ❤ 🙏
Shouldn t we all pray.......😂😂
I thought Dougal was going to click on the button again
Hahaha, the Captain Ted's speaking with at 19:20 played a corrupt Judge of Gotham in "Batman Begins".
Pure class
Now I wonder how a Mr Bean audio comedy would work.
08:09 - 08:19 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Father Noel is the best character in the entire episode!!!!!!!!!! And father Fay the second best, the Monkey-Man 😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
brilliant
15:18 - 15:19 boom mic
I love this show so very much. I swear this this is most of my family. Except i live in fuck-stick kentucky.
You have my condolences.
It would have brilliant if Dougal refused to give the tape away becos of some MAD reason.
I defo thought he’d used it up when Ted asked him for it.
Or if he pressed the button again
8:23 LOL
I want to know how father Jack pulled the rip cord on the drink trolley’s parachute to open it after he jumped out of the plane.
He dove after it and did it in midair, THEN pulled his own cord.
@@Thellbro Of course. How silly of me.
@@Thellbro But do you think an alcoholic priest in his late 70’s would be able to do that?
@@a.tanner8524 Late 70s? I think he’s in his late 40s, just a tad bit older than Ted himself. 😆
@@Thellbro OK then, well answer me this: How did he qualify to play in the priest’s over 75’s football championship then?
The best after a few beers and shots of vodka! DRINK!
So funny!!!
That was actually a medical condition
Mr bean?? Lol
15:45 words of wisdom
Poor Father Jack
Me arse!
20:29 Masonic Grip!! Hilarious! I wonder if Dermot was a Mason. I got my 3rd degree apron myself, hence my recognition.
It's just a handshake. You're not special.
3:16 Graham Linehan doing a cameo.
Oh, and apperently a bit more.
21:58 That's a _nice_ model...
I think it’s a real one.
8:22
😊😅😂😂😂😅😊😅😂😂😅😊😊😊😂😂
Father Jack is awful!! They should get Father Stack on the flight!!😆😆😆😆😆😆
06:09 - 06:23 😂😂😂😂😂😂
should we just have a little pray..
I did yeah.
God is listening intently at 15.18 - upper left corner
Father Jack is my idol. I wanna be like him when I grow up!
Is that Graham Linehan as the voice of the pilot? Sounds like him...
Although he's also playing one of the priests so maybe not...
Sounds like Michael Gambon to me
@@pawelbrzeziecki9767 Although the two don't sound alike, weirdly I know what you mean

Again boys on a fiddle oh gosh
Can we get a reboot with Dylan Moran and Karl pilkopant
10:01 - 10:34 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💪💪💪💪💪👍👍👍👍👍👍
Who's really throwing roll paper at father ted
The nuns?
11:08 - 12:18 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Lol poor man! I still feel a bit sorry for him...
When I put this comment this video has or had 400 Likes God Bless Father Ted.
Why isn't Fr. Dick Byrne on the plane?
Emergency
Hiliarous👻
1:09 What I'd like to do to the mask militia muppets. 😄😂🤣
That move is from the movie ”Comando” with Arnie.
”Don’t bother my friend, he’s dead tired”
Father Jack's punch, ouch...how can u listen to mr bean, he mumbles and grunts
That's sort of the joke
Punch is straight out of ”Comando” with Arnie.
Dougal is the Irish Forrest Gump
An insult to Forrest. :p
🤷
What the hell is wrong with subtitles here 16:21 ?
oh dear... why would that happen?
Tor SR Thidesen they’re autogenerated captions, so words appear as sounded out. Apparently the system isn’t very fluent when it comes to the Irish dialect...
@@123raggett1 The system is just stupid. Then again, it's just as loony as all the rest of Father Ted, so I guess it's in the spirit of the show.
Ytp death
Sorry but I really don't like the monkey priest. I feel like he's trying to outdo Father Jack on the "crazy old guy" shtick. Plus I just hate monkeys.
If I was on that plane with Ted and Dougal and when Ted would say hang on i climb out of the plane I would have jumped in and said I'll do it and I would have climbed out and fixed the fuel line myself I myself am brave and not afraid of flying and I would have fixed that line with ease
You wouldn't be an Irish priest would you..?!? 🤣
And here I thought I hated everything religious in any way this shows fucking funny it gives me the All in the family vibes or like married with children
Just found this in the plandemic of 2020. Good stuff.
Lol "plandemic" what happened to all the plots and plans you loonies kept claiming were about to happen? They all evaporated like the imaginary nonsense they were.
Wow time does change, Assaulting guy for requesting not to smoke in a plane and horde the seats is considered funny?
More like people have become lame.
@@Krystalmyth More like only a moron would want cancer.
Very good I remember it!😂😂😂
