I purchased a registered P80 PF940V2 G17 size and polished the trigger bar and changed the firing pin spring and then my trigger became binary 🤯. Went back to the stock P80 firing pin spring and no more binary mode thank god. But i am getting ready to start some different P80 builds. So I’m scouring for videos and info on does and donts and solutions. So I thank you for your videos.

One thought. IF you are having trouble with the shells ejecting erratically, there is a fix. I noticed that in the video you are still using the original Gen3 ejector rod. If you replace this piece with the Gen4 ejector rod you may find as I did that the shells eject in a more uniform direction and pattern. Lone Wolf Dist. has this part for around $5.00. The part number is LWD-30274. You can order it by itself as Bare Ejector Rod. I appreciate the info on polishing the safety catch and trigger bar. Back to the workbench!

The best thing anyone can do for their P 80s or Glocks is the Timnely trigger IMO. Unless a 3 lbs. trigger is to light. I have a lot of Glocks and 3 P 80s. All but one have the Timnely trigger and it a new P 80 that I haven't tried yet. Use the RED spring in the Timnely trigger kit, it will add a little pull weight but makes it much more reliable on the return. I haven't found the need to do anything to the Timnely trigger other than the Red spring. Also I had problems with the P 80 trigger housing, I use factory Glock trigger housing and found they work better for me.

@@JARG Thank You, I have 2 or 3 Gen 5s and the others are Gen 4s in the Glock line. If I remember right, the Timnely triggers are Gen specific as to Gen 3-4 and the Gen 5s. Again Thank You, P 80s can be a long learning curve as most have found out. I don't think many get them running right after building them. They seem to need to be tweaked on, some more than others lol. I know mine have had their fair share of failing.

I have a problem with my p80 slide that I can't seem to find help for online. My slide cycles perfectly with no mag or with a mag, like butter. But if I put a round or snap cap in the mag and then rack the slide, once it resets and loads the round into the barrel and the slide goes all the way forward, it then locks onto something so the slide wont go back again. It's hitting something or whatnot and you have to muscle it as hard as u can for it to release and the slide will then be able to go back, eject the round, but when the slide spring returns it forward again, it's locking shut again. Take the round out and the slide can be racked back perfect. What can it be hitting? It's like the first eighth of an inch of travel back is locking

    • @JARG

    • @JARG

  • @soglostang04

Can I please get some help with my issue on gst-9 build. When I dry fire the pistol the slide seems to move forward about 1/2 a mm. I have all glock oem components in both lower and slide. I noticed that the barrel seems to rest on the ejector? Is this how the mechanics are supposed to work? Doesn't seem right. If I remove recoil spring from slide and push back on barrel towards ejector, you can see where the ejector springs back some and the barrel will sit flush with slide until pressure is removed. With the gun assembled and the trigger in the back position (after firing of gun) the barrel is nice and snug as it should in the slide....as soon as I rack the slide and the trigger moves to the forward position that hairline gap appears again (between back of barrel and slide). I have tried switching out all slide internals with no luck. If I remove the slide internals (minus the firing pin) and re-install the slide no gap...re-rack and no gap...fire and no gap...I am lost on this. The only thing I can think of at this point is that the slide is slightly out of spec.

I have a p80 slide on a Zev OZ9. Purchased an Apex trigger kit and if I rack the slide with the trigger firmly pressed, my trigger fails to reset, if I ever so slightly put some backwards pressure on the slide it releases the trigger and I get a reset. I have a feeling its #1 but I won't be bending it I'm going to try to take off some material from the top since it's so close to reseting on its own. I will report back.

When I pull the trigger I don’t get a “click” it just feels mushy and goes back into place when I let go. I haven’t tried live ammo yet just dry fire. I tried bending the trigger connector slightly as I saw that as a potential solution in a video but that didn’t change anything. Could it be that I need a stronger spring for the firing pin safety?
