      Better plan on plugging in or using a mic if you get one.
      The 00010E severely lacks punch.
      Played acoustically it sounds gorgeous but you can just barely hear it especially finger picking.
      He suggests plucking harder with the right hand but you shouldn't have to abuse your strings for your guitar to sound good.

    Thanks very much Jarvis. I love the joy in your music! I bought the Martin Road Series 000RS1 two tears ago and absolutely love it. I removed the Fishman Sonitone pickup and added a K&K Pure Mini for more natural sound. I have rosewood shims under the original TUSQ saddle since I removed the Fishman Sonitone UST. What do you like about the FMI saddles? How does FMI affect the tone, projection, sustain and bass response?

    I really want a Martin, this exact model in fact because it reminds me, and looks a lot like my IBANEZ AC340L, but only much more pricier.
    Having said that, my Ibanez has solid Mahogany top, sides, a rosewood bride, and the nut and saddle are bone. It also has binding at it retailed for under $350.00 while the 000-10E goes for about $800.00
    However, I would really love to own a Martin, too and will be getting this guitar. I'm curious as to how it will stack up to my AC340L.

    Hi Jarvis, thank you for the great reviews and content as always! I want to pick your brain regarding a few things when comparing this relatively new model to the gs mini hog top. How would you compare the 2 as far as tonal depth, comfort, volume/projection, durability and care for the guitars? In theory, I thought the gs mini would be more durable due to the laminate b/s but I know in the past you have had problems with swelling. Is the x bracing on this Martin susceptible to that as well?

I just want to ask because I’m planning to buy this particular guitar but it’s out of stock in all the guitar store here in my place, so I’ve never tried it on my own, is it true that it has a lot of fret buzz right out of the box? I read a lot of the same problems about fret buzz,
    but here a I tried a martin 000-13e the same road series and it sounds amazing and doesn’t have any fret buzz on it, I’m just wondering, hoping for your response, thank you 😊👌🏻

      It's very quiet.
      I can't even hear the instrument with the TV on low.

    • @ianguitar7532
      @ianguitar7532 Před 4 lety +6

      The 15 does have a different tone - it has a longer neck and is mahogany. It has a hard case - which you're paying for. It isn't really a 000, since these have the shorter neck - like the 10. I prefer the tone from the 15, when side-by-side, but you don't gig comparing two guitars - you play one. I went for the 10 for the playability, pick-up/tuner, gig-bag and price - it's £500 less expensive. As always, you need to try both and decide which is better for you and what you want. Hope that helps!

      Go for it! I bought this as my first ever guitar almost one year ago. As you would expect from a Martin, the build quality is great and the sound is brilliant. It plays really well, whether you are into fingerpicking, flat picking or strumming (using a pick , your finger nails or the fleshy parts of your fingers). Every time I pick it up for a play it makes me feel happy and I can highly recommend this model; for me it was money very well spent as I am looking forward to many more years of playing this beauty!
