If you're talking physical attributes in the past 4 seasons before this, Van Dijk is almost beyond comparison in strength, agility, and speed. There is a core of Liverpool players that can be in the second Liverpool team but there has to be adjustments. Alison, Robo, Virgil, Trent and maybe Mo. for me trent has to be in a midfield position. There is no way that tremt can’t play in there. He’s been one of our best players but teams have a blue print in him as a rb. Double up on him and run in behind that space he leaves open. The rest like Henderson, need to become squad players. They are good still good to start games but more than a game a week their legs fall off. There needs to be new blood and fresh legs in this squad. It’s been coming now and Klopp has managed to keep this group of players going for a long time. We should have been investing in pervious windows and it’s finally turned on us and we haven’t turned the days over quickly enough to stay at the top while rebuilding. Liverpool will get back there with Klopp but it might take another inconsistent season like this or slightly better than this one. Very frustrating

The league is getting a lot tougher, teams are getting stronger and there’s new rich owners coming to rival clubs. Now, if FSG put their hands in their pockets and provide him with the steady funds he needs to renew the squad and add who he needs to improve the squad then I think there is no peak again and he can continue to do what he does best.

Mentally drained and that has them made them weak. No doubt in the summer they will get rid of so much dead wood (Naby, Ox, Milner, Firmino, Jones, Matip) sign 3/4 top class players (Nunes, Givarldol, Jude/Rice, Kone) and after a summer of rest come back flying again. If anything it would be better to miss out on europe altogether and just focus on the league next season.

I'm a Liverpool fan, but Rio, Terry, Vidic & Konpany all get in a Prem XI before VVD. He's had the single greatest individual season amongst all of them but longevity and legacy matter. He has been honking this season, and has been getting bossed by forwards game after game recently. Talk about losing a step etc he's 31. Not exactly an age we're you consider a centre half would be passed it, especially given that he keeps himself in great shape.
What's infuriating, and the same was said of Trent, because of the lax demeanour in which they carry themselves, unless they are playing well they offer little to the tram and is obvious to see. Where as with Robbo, Matip etc they will at least run themselves in to the ground and their frustration is obvious, they can't hide it.

He lacks the defensive intelligence of a Terry or even a Ferdinand or Kompany who also relied somewhat on their speed/power. The Italian defenders like Maldini, Nesta, Cannavaro, Baresi etc all played at a world class level deep into their 30s. They mastered the defensive fundamentals so never had to rely on their psychical attributes. I think it was Maldini who said if you have to make a sliding tackle you’ve already made a mistake. Van Dijk doesn’t seem to possess this.

Then this year they’re sitting in second and there’s literally no good reason that Bayern should be in second place this late into the season. Especially to a Dortmund team thats this average. The lad in the blue shirt who is suggests Klopp should be questioned about a potential sacking has totally lost the plot. Sorry, but that's the hard truth. He says the Liverpool manager should be coming in at least the top 4 at "one of the biggest club's in the world", and compares the situation to Bayern sacking Nagelsmann looool
Ok let's break that brain numbing nonsense down. First off, Klopp has overseen and created the most successful period at Liverpool in THIRTY years. Let's not belittle that. PLENTY of managers have come and gone in that 30 years and none of them managed to win the league with Liverpool, most haven't even come close. Klopp has brought the league title back to Anfield. But in truth it could have been 2-3 league titles as Liverpool made several fantastic runs at it. Only to fall just short because those Man City sides were putting up 100 points per season which is extremely rare, and leaves the other contenders practically zero room for error. But that's just from a league perspective. Klopp has also won the UCL and taken Liverpool to 3 UCL finals, which is TRIPLE the amount of UCL finals that Pep has taken Man City.
Klopp has resurrected Liverpool from the ashes. Again, this is the club's most successful era in over 30 years. Furthermore he did this on a relative budget. With the exception of Allison and Van Dijk, Liverpool didn't really pay top money for any of their stars. Klopp created them. He took players like Salah and Mane and turned them into world beaters. Same with Trent and Robertson. He took players people considered finished or not good enough like Milner and Henderson and made them valuable pieces.
The comparison to the Nagelsmann situation is delusional and not relevant in the slightest. As Klopp has lots of credit in the bank, not only for turning around Liverpool and winning lots of titles with them, but also for doing the same thing at Dortmund in his previous job. That's TWO big clubs he helped bring back to prominence. What has Nagelsmann done in comparison? NOTHING. Not only that, but Liverpool are going through a transition season. Unlike Bayern, they are NOT the biggest spenders in their league. Hell, they're not even the 2nd highest spenders. Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea have all outspent them during Klopp's tenure. And maybe even Arsenal although I'm not sure about that one. The EPL as a league is superior to the BL as well. Teams that finish 2nd in BL like Dortmund, Leipzig or Union Berlin would have a hard time finishing top 6 in the EPL. There are 4, 5 maybe 6 teams in the EPL which are essentially super clubs of modern football. It's not the same in Germany. So finishing top 4 in EPL isn't a given for Liverpool or whoever. It's literally easier for Bayern to win their league than it is for an English club to finish top 4 with the only exception being City
