Hello Gus from Kajun Homestead and Beekeeping, I'm Brad just saw you on the live chat and looked you up , great looking channel, just started a channel myself and its kind of scary to get started. Gonna check out your channel hope to talk some more on more bee stuff, nice looking tank.
I wonder if the bottle fill gate could be replaced with the Stainless steel dripless valve that MannLake or Dadant sells. They are expensive, $150 but well worth it in my opinion. John is a great guy to do business with. Can't beat his customer service. I got one of his extractors last fall and it works great.
Good honest review. Thanks for sharing. I'm still putting my Honey in buckets and bottling from the buckets, but might have to consider one of these if the girls work hard enough for me. Does it need to be tilted to get all the honey out? If so, about how much does it leave in the bottom? (1/4", 1/2", etc.)
First year beek here, that being said, I wonder if you get sourwood. If so, could you maybe talk a little bit about the nuanced differences in that focus. Looking for more information as always and thanks for the content.
John Hill has great customer service. He really takes care of his customers.
We bought this tank as well and are enjoying it very much!
Inside the ball handle is a Allen Screw you can tighten it in it puts more pressure on the gate,
