  • MAXANT | 42 gallon Bottling and Storage tank | Product Review | Beekeeping
No honey house should be without or many of these. Not only do these 18 gauge double wall heated tanks store honey for bottling later, they decrystallize honey that has been dormant. Maxant bottling tanks are considered the best in the industry. They are not cheaply manufactured. The best 18 gauge stainless #4 polished steel is selected. Parts are laser cut, power rolled, and seamed on our robots. The fittings are TIG welded on water cooled machines by skilled craftsmen.
Note: we are not yet a vendor for Maxant products. We purchased this Maxant product from Rossman Apiaries gabees.com/

I would name that tank "big mamma". Beautiful piece of kit.

Agreed. We love it. Best investment after a Maxant extractor.

Wish they made 5 gallon tanks. Because we have a variety of honey, don't need a huge tank.

They do make 16 g tanks. That is a good size to have enough on tap I don’t keep my 42 g full so the 16 would be at 8-10 g most of the time if I had those.

I’ve got the same tank, but a bit older. Curious about you mentioning the two drain plugs. My tank has a drain for the jacket to the left of the no drip valve. To the left of that is another opening to the jacket, but I have a second immersion heater installed, NOT a drain for the honey. May have been a change over the years?

Let us know when you become a Maxant dealer. I am going to be interested in a tank in the near future. Thanks for the information and video.

You will need to contact Rossman Apiaries directly for price on this as we are not yet a vendor for MAXANT. Hopefully we will be in the future. I can say that MAXANT is backed up by 6-8 weeks on production as of August, so we were lucky to get our hands on one.
