@@stingerredshock3418 I let it slide because Lamborghini, Porsche, bmw, merc and all the others are trying to sell suv to a wider demographics so that they stay relevant and make performance focused cars for actual enthusiasts. And compared to ferrari Aston Martin is operating at lower finances compared to ferrari and lambo. So selling SUVs to stay relevant and bring out beautiful performance beasts like db11 or dbs or v8 vantage is a necessary evil in my eyes.
Although James looks dead in the intro I am pretty sure it was his idea ...
I was so perplexed by his un-enthusiasm, the skit fell completely flat for me.

Several seconds later, I said to nobody, cause I'm on the toilet.
The first one we saw was already at body shop after 1000 miles because the steel hinge that holds door onto body had stress fracture. This one is going to be mastering dealer relations.

Big ups to you guys for keeping integrity throughout this review and the summary was no exception. The normal reviewers always give a pass to anything luxury at the end but here it's clear to me, if I had the $$ , this is not the "best that money can buy".
Was at the AM dealer the other day. The interior of the DBX is second to none. Truly amazing.

Gorgeous interior! When I was 16, I had a white 1991 Honda Accord with blue interior. It was so pretty. This car brings back memories of sitting in that car and it’s so nice to see that in this one
With most car review channels/shows, if they are reviewing a vehicle I either don't want or can't afford, I simply don't watch.
I neither want or could afford this thing, but Throttle House is so entertaining that I watched to the end.

Allow me to clarify, I have been following since there was no James, and they have always clearly been absolutely freaking awesome. But, and I didn’t think this was possible, they’re even getting better.

I’m seeing the new Escape from the front. Reminds me of how the Fusion looked like an Aston from the front a few years ago
That was the result of Ford buying out Aston and yanking Ian Callum to design their mainstream cars. He more or less put the front end of the DB9 on the Fusion.
I agree and the first comment is current. I also generally just don’t think that front end looks good on an SUV

That's why the RS6 Avant and E63s Wagon are so popular in Europe.
Americans only want something big, over priced (to flex), and fast in a straight line. Wagons are worthless.

Fantastic intro and review. I'm in the minority in not liking the DBX, Ford Escape like looks. Rear end looks nice and distinct but that is about it. Tech is a disaster at this price. Was shocked at how slow the transmission was in any mode. I think you can do much better elsewhere

It blows my mind that I can say with absolute confidence that the exhaust on the DBX sounds way louder and more aggressive that the AMG GT Black Series. Can someone explain to me why the exhaust on a higher production, more daily use SUV with the same engine is fine but they can't stick it on an extremely low production garage-queen?
Of all the super suvs, this is my favourite. The rear s uniquely designed. Most suvs r just boxy back there. This has form.

This is the embodiment of what I experienced driving an DBX. A point missed is in the console there is a spot that appears to be a wireless charging pad for a phone. It's not. Additionally, if you drove a Mercedes GLE63 AMG and drove a DBX and looked at the price tags, you'd buy the GLE63 every time. They're quite similar in driving experience and comfort, but the GLE is half the price new and even more used.

Before I watch this video I want to ay the DBX looks great to me and I'd be happy to own one as my main car, if I had the lifestyle to work with it. Much rather a DBX than a Bentayga.

I really like these but is it worth the tens of thousand more than a GLE63s with more power? I’d have to hard time justifying the DBX.
Well, you're right. But you won't get that big Aston Martin logo on your car with a GLE63s even though the latter is more powerful.

And the latest GlE has the latest infotainment, whereas this has the previous COMAND system...
No, the GLE63 is a far superior automobile for far less money. One buys this car solely because of the brand name.
I'd rather have an AMG G-Wagon.
