1996 Chevrolet Tahoe Review

Here is the review of my 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe LS. It has the 350ci Vortec V8 putting out 250 HP @ 3200 RPM and 320 Foot Pounds of Torque.

Just bought one of these, a Z71 Tahoe 4x4 for $2600 and its awesome, legendary drivetrain, super quiet ride, perfect interior, Arizona truck no rust, what a rig is all I can say, the 5.7 litre is the finest truck motor ever built bar none. Drive quality of these are unmatched by any modern POS out there trust me. Parts are a joke price wise and super affordable, the tranny and transfer case in these rigs is bulletproof. Best buy on the planet.

Please advise, I was planning to buy Chevrolet tahoe 1998 5.7 Imported from Japan. Is it going to give any Mechanical enginee failure in future. The mileage on the car is around 63000.

You might want to try some rubbing and polishing compound on the paint - get rid of some of the oxidation and make it look 10X better.

The 5.7 didn't have the piston slap, the 5.3s did/do. And that hood thing is common among the GMT400. My 88 you had to "punch" the hood after pulling the handle lol. Oddly enough of all the GMT400s I've owned the only automatic one that I had doesn't have a title. I bought it for the drive train for the S10 since it is a 2WD also. But also like I said, I believe a dealer has to program the passlock to your vehicle if I do have that radio.

oh u won't having issues with them old chevys just make sure you change oil often and change transmission oil and it will run good also if it is a 4x4 not sure if u said it was them transfer cases should be checked to the oil they leak

my model has the 6.5 liter turbo diesel so thats a good reason why its so excpensive to drive for long drives

my tahoe uses 3.5 liters per kilometer so its kinda a excpensive car to do long drives with but its goes where ever you want to go so thats a big pluss
