I had to have my transmission replaced at just over 198,000. The 6 speeds (2007-2014) are known to have bad torque converters and bad pumps. When the new one was installed, it came with the upgraded converter and pump. It gave pretty much no warning before it went. Diagnosed that it was slipping in all gears.

Decided to switch up after over 15 years to an escalade and man I regret it. I have never had to see the mechanic this much. I'm going back and I am specifically looking for 2000 model Tahoes. You must have gotten a 10 or above with that switch to 4 cylinder crap. The 07 must have been an all wheel drive or just a lemon because the motor is beast and as long as you upgrade the torque converter to a billet steel at about 130,000 miles that thing will last at least 300,000 miles on the low end. If you wait, the tranny repair gets more expensive.

They are long lived but in the snow belt you will probably be changing out the brake lines as they tend to rust where they cross over the frame. Generally it occurs just forward of the ABS module. I've replaced a lot of them.

Tows anything I would want to tow. Goes anywhere I would want to go and has all the bells and whistles of the time. Best part, I paid $4000 out the door, several years ago and now it is PAID IN FULL. Absolutely built to last! Plan on driving it till the wheels fall off and then I’ll fix it and drive it some more.👍🏻😏
