- Another average day here at Shoreline Park, located in Gulf Breeze, Florida. It is always a clown show at the boat ramps and we are here for your entertainment. If you see us out and about, say hey. You make just make it to The Big Dan Show! #boatramp #boatrampfails

I used to mold kayaks. Every time I made a tandem boat it had potential to cause a divorce.
So we dubbed them Divorce Boats..😂
😂😂😂
Dude on the JetSki was hilarious. He was probably throttling forward whilst pulling backwards 😂
Love that interaction with your wife about the boat ramp. I trailer my wife launches and docks the boat. She got me a shirt that says “I’m sorry for what I said while docking the boat”. 😂. Since then I’ve kept quiet and she’s become a pro.
Agreed, just like a good gun dog, there's less mucking about if you've trained your wife well.
“I don’t know what I’m doing” At least she got that part right
😆
That woman cranking that boat lucky husband.
The clown w/ the dog on her lap is the same one you see driving down the highway w/ the same stupid dog on her stupid lap.
Not the dogs fault he's innocent & has no say in her stupidity
@@floridagirl386 Well those small breeds have small brains, so yes, pretty stupid (or I should say ignorant). They will never be Chaser the border collie. That girl was smart.
She’s also the one who takes it grocery shopping and tries to pass it off as a _service dog_
SHOULDNT HAVE PETS ON DAMN JETSKIS ANYWAYS😂😂😂😂😂
ikr get a kayak
You gotta be there with signs and give them a score out of 10 rofl 🤣 The boat ramp is what separates the noobs from the pros 🤣
That wind and current can be tricky for the inexperienced 😂
For the experienced as well sometimes
@@floridagirl386 If they tell you otherwise they are lying . Lol
Like the way you don't run people down that have little experience. There's a lot of channels that just disrespect people, which makes them look like assholes. New subscriber, keep them coming.
Yes, totally agree. There are a lot of newbies out there who don't have the experience yet. Worst thing people can do is run them down and humiliate them. Teaching and offering advice is always the best approach.
I grew up in a bass boat. My dad always took me along with him bass fishing. I know how to launch a boat in under 1min. And take it out without hesistating. I've fished many bass tournaments and we even had a system that took less than seconds to get the boat out of the water.
I agree with this and the replies. We launch a 21' Ranger. It would be perfectly fine to have a little fun at the launching of boats, but would be more helpful if when done you talked to them to let them know. They may or may not like it, but at least they are informed. For instance, this ramp appears to me to be a double ramp. I constantly see 1 trailer taking up the middle. At a busy dock, this is unacceptable. Learning is the only way. At every bass tourney we have, typically 60 boats are brought out of the water in no more than 20 min. Literally in a tourney with 100 boats, 30 to 40 min. we are all in and in the parking lot. These are usually 2 man teams.
There is no secret to it. It is just learning your vehicle, boat trailer and boat. That's it!
Big props to the women that get off of their asses and help their man with towing and/or launching the boat!!💯💯I can’t stand the lazy chicks that just stand there on the dock doing nothing!
Oh Dan, your CZcams channel is my new habit. Just too good!
Me too. What a great idea lmao. Im a driller and we had a barge in the water next to a boat launch and it was awesome watching people all day!
That woman with the tritoon knows what she was doing. Looks like it was just her and the kid....
The contrast between her loading that boat one handed like it was nothing while old mate in the background couldn't even handle a jetski 🤣
Florida boat women man!😂 Badasses who can not only handle driving a boat, but also back up a trailer with no problem. Get yourself a lady like that so there’s zero ramp arguments/tension lol.
I’ve stocked your channel for a while…I know this is an old video, but I subbed today. You’re extremely kind to everyone you speak to…including those who choose to hate your content.
Thanks. I appreciate the Support.
I'm sure glad no one was around when I unlatched the front winch AND the safety chain when putting her in one time. The trailer stopped, the boat kept moving. Looked like Michael Phelps trying to catch her....
Those people with the 300’s should have bought 130’s to start some salesman took advantage of them!
Those aren't new, they went out of their way on craigslist for those.
Great entertaining vids , thank you! That sure is different to how we do it in Norway. First of all, put all the people including the captain off at the dock to reduce weight and for safety. Push the boat out slightly so that it aims at the trailer centre and throw the bow rope aiming at the winch. Climb out on the trailer frame and attach the hook whilst gently holding tension on the rope to keep the boat centred. Return to the winch and crank it up while watching that the hull settles smoothly. Here this is mostly a one man job, and the key to safety is not to have a buch of people helping out. I must admit that some of theese people on your vids must have an angel guarding them from accidents, alot is soo no no in the form of common sense.
That's how I learned it growing up, too.
Just going to ask why do they all insist on driving the boat up, here in Australia most people do just as you describe and winch the boat up.@@sewistnotsewer
Hey Dan, I live about 60 miles north of Mobile. My grandfather lived in Navarre when I was a teenager. I worked at the campground on the island. I still spend a lot of in Panama City as my best friend lives there. I’m going down next week to fish in east bay and crooked island. It’s the only place I’d ever live besides where I’m at.
Nice to find a local guy on here. I’ll watch the rest of your videos soon. Keep up the good work.
Great videos! Occasional focus on 'deck hands' appreciated. 👍👍 Over 20 years boating with my dad, we had launch and retrieval down to a fine art, except for a few memorable events. The most memorable? I call it "I thought YOU put the drain plug in"
That is why I avoid busy boat ramps to stay away from all the crazy folks.
Can confirm. When I was stationed at Eglin we always made sure to make use of the boat ramp on base to avoid all the people.
The "Duck Boys" want everybody to hear their cool motor.haha
The guy @ 6:20 should backup in 4WD so he won't need to avoid moss at the rear tires. He seems afraid to get the drive tires wet/slick.
Having power at the front tires would eliminate most any slick ramp issues.
LOL I remember a lot of arguments between my parents at boat ramps.
I love this!!! I need to do this on forth of July at Pickwick lake!!!
Omg. Brings back memories. I'm in Calif. I was at Clear lake ( one of the USA'S best bass fisheries. )
I had my boat tied to the dock . Some idiot came blazing in and hit my boat hard. The man driving was trying to blame me...wtf. Long story short...he came at me a hit him with 1 right cross to his jaw...he fell back onto his ski then into the water. He never said another word.
Keep up your good work.
Helllll yessss bro! 👊
It’s funny that people standing on the trailer think they’re pulling the boats on the with their arms.
Lol
As a teen before I was allowed to take the boat by myself to launch it I had to back up in a parking lot with my dad. Starting teaching me with a single axle utility and ended up moving a 32' camping trailer. Then I could take the boat to the lake. It was still hard the first time by myself with a date.....
If I can give advice to a new boater or watercraft owner….. launch and get away from the docks so you can learn how to maneuver them without the stress of being around other boaters. The young lady’s wave at the end was cute. She didn’t get upset at the drone.
Lots of small baots/jetskis would benefit from an extendable toungue trailer.
They do make these things.
You can convert most trailers with the square tube section easily. Others are a bit harder.
Lengthen the tongue while on the ramp, get the watercraft deeper without getting the tow vehicle wheels on the water.
I have just roped the trailer on out on the jack wheel, disconnected from the car to float the boat. Then pulled it back to the car, hooked and parked.
You need the boat deeper to launch than to recover. Bunk carpet damp it will be fine sliding up.
Aw, no zoom in on the little sunfish? What kind of boating channel is this! We need equal opportunity boating!
Lol
She rocked it. Y’all did good. A full launch n load video is a good idea. Lots of people could use that. As you already know.
We just bought these and have no idea what we're doing Now we're gonna be stupid and go out on the ocean without a clue in the world
Yea they should probably practice in their backyard first.
Gotta start somewhere 🤷🏻♂️
100% agree
How tf u gonna learn? Launching ur boat on ur lawn? Lol
I'm a judgemental prick that will never do anything exciting because I'm afraid of everything
Dude with the bow/anchor problem: pull the trailer out farther and the boat will level off before you whack the bow stop.
Definition of an expert: An ex is a has been, and a spirt is a drip under high pressure!
Sal you remind me of me when it comes to eating.Glad y'all enjoyed the meal.
Not sure why but I'm HOOKED on your Video's !!! FUN to Watch !!!
Been alternating between your videos and 2 other guys. Getting pointers on what NOT to do. Just got my old boat restored and recently finished the boating safety course. Hitting the water for the first time in a few weeks. What I've noticed with all of these videos is this. It's the law that anyone on a watercraft, and the boat or jetski is moving, has to wear their PFD. Period. And almost no one wears them. I watch all the videos and do all the research I can so that I don't f&&& up. Thanks for the great videos and some laughs.
Thanks friend! Love to have you around
I love that I live in the midwest where people with boats actually know how to use them. But love the credit card captains.
You gotta love them 💪🙏
There's plenty that can operate a boat in Florida. I'm southwest Florida myself.
But with all the new bees and tourist don't help the situation.
That's why I have the best boats out there. As known as someone else's boat. 😅
Big gals on every boat ramp from fla to va❤❤❤😂
😂😂
Im just trying to calculate how much credit im seeing😂
House payment
Car payment
Boat payment
😢
Bahaahaha
Hey buddy you got the beans on top of the Frank! Back up do it again!
Awesome job dan o keep them coming cant wait to see the new boat
Lol I said There you go right before you did. Cool to see Floridians say that also.
💪💪
You guys are my new friends 😂❤
You're exasperation is almost as good as these failures!
🤷♂️😂
I'm binging on your videos! We are experienced Captains and mates here in Seattle 😉
Thanks for the entertainment-from Utah
Thanks to all the women in this video! ❤
Always!
I haven't seen one person not power load. I think I remember something about that in boater safety course.
What do you remember about that?
it's always very exciting around the boat ramp..lol
i can say, there's never a dull moment there..lol
Oh my goosebumps...........I was listening to this while working late one night and got to time 28:16.......had to quit working and go home..........could not stop laughing at this.........
These people are why we ALL have to have insurance policies.
Lmao
There's a LOT of nice ... "real estate" ... in your videos... :)
😎😜
That dog catching pole was epic 😂
😂😂😂 wasn’t that what it was lol
Made me laugh. Thanks
well that pump impeller is history lol
My prayers have been answered! Big Dan has posted another video! 🙏
Love this show!
Man, this is entertaining!
I come for the boat drama. I stay for the eye candy.
😎🥰
One thing about these fl women is they can do truck duty and back it in there.
Mine don't do truck or boat duty....lol
These people look like pros compared to the Cubans at Miami Blackpoint Marina.
😂😂😂
The salesman should have asked the owners to spend some time for them to familiarize themselves with the crafts controls and especially, "there's NO brakes!" (but reverse?).
I had a concept of converting a 1970s land & sea - Seacamper houseboat, so it's amphibious, with its wheels can be raised to be flush with the hull (like a 737) and can be driven on the road either from the main helm or the upper helm. ;-)
Now that would be something to see coming up to a ramp with no truck or trailer in sight, then emerging from the water on four wheels (maybe six)? ;-D
Type in "1970s land & sea - Seacamper houseboat", if you're not sure what boat I'm thinking of?
Lol ^^ 💪💪
I’ll stick with a kayak. Thank you
😂😂😂😳😳😳
Cool drone shots!
Shoreline boat ramp! Can be tough on low tide and a South wind
@@TheBigDanShow Oriole Beach ramp might be another to film.
Alabama tide sucks, Saban gone
I don't wanna talk shit, but I launch and land solo %99 of the time and it only takes a minute or two.
Damn Twin peeks
Respect to that dad teaching them kids young my dad taught me how to drive a car a motorbike a boat and even a massive house boat while i was around that sort of age some of my best memories with my dad where him teaching me to drive
I really like the close ups
15:57 was a little TOO close up😬
@@shepherdhirtz244nah😂
20:10... Let us all go up front so the driver can't see anything.
23:57... Maybe it's an 'up-north; thing but, PWDs can't use the 'boat' ramp. They have their own area.
😂😂😂
There really are some ladies who git r done. My wife puts me and the boat in/out and she loves telling me whenever an oilfield type guy asks her if she wants him to back the truck in for her lol we use hands free to load/unload so that any arguing is quiet 😂😂😂
PS offering help is always a good thing
Love it!
You should know, Noone wants advice!! You need a sign to hold up that says " I TOLD YOU SO""
😂😂
Those PWCs can be tricky for new boaters. They only steer under power and reverse is a challenge for a lot of people.
Man, I felt like I was sitting in Gulf Breeze Florida watching this video.
Me and my wife had some interesting conversations at the dock. We have 3 boys. We're damn near professionals.
Learned something new on this channel. I had no clue you could run them outboards out the water.
You'd be surprised at the things you can do when you have more money than brains.
Boats are coming in boats want out, and we have jet ski mayhem.
Lol yes
Quite the chit show.
Real EZ to judge from the sidelines
🤣
Why don’t jeskiers ever back in far enough to get the ski in the water lol
My step daughter almost blew our jet ski up by sucking shit up off the bottom of the lake. It stopped taking water in to cool the motor. People don’t realize or know it’s bad to hover close to shoreline/shallow water.
How do you empty the sand out?
@@floridagirl386 it wasn’t easy. We had to flip the ski over pull parts off and then my husband ended up have to suck out one of lines. Honestly it is easier to rebuild the motor then to get the sand out. It ended up bending a valve due to lack of cooling cause it couldn’t take water in to cool it. We just make sure we don’t ride along the shoreline or shallow water.
@@SissyMchill1 what's shallow for a 17x8 boat
@@SissyMchill1 might be able to open it up & suction it out?
@@floridagirl386 I’m referring to jet ski. Is your boat a jet boat? If not you don’t have to worry. The size of your boat has nothing to do with sucking sand up in the motor. For our jet ski the depth of water was probably about 4’ deep. Outboard motors don’t have that problem.
They need give them people boating lessons of loading and unloading
Some people LITERALLY have no business owning and operating anything that's going to be run on water!!!
Too funny!
The first timer in the Toyota Taco, he's had to have backed a trailer before, though opening the door was kind of strange unless it was just checking to see how far his trailer was in the water.
Nothing like learning to ride a jet ski on a busy boat ramp. The amount of people who think they are the main character is baffling.
Somebody needs new water pump impeller
No doubt
Guy in the white truck could have run down and pulled that bow roller assembly bracket over a few inches, but he just sat there.
Yup
You know you can get the boat up on the slide, hook the rope and wench the boat into place. That’s why the rope is so long. You don’t have to damage everything.
We put the boat on the trailer while you were there. I guess we didn't make the show. You missed a great one when that pontoon with the US and some kind of orange flag launched that morning. The woman captain told her jeep driver to back her down even though two boats were camping on the ramp. She hollered at them and they got the heck out of her way. It was both righteous and hilarious.
If you ever see me messing up, I am not above advice. lol I tried to back the boat off with the straps still attached in the back.
6:08 This guy lol
A ticket dispenser for all docks, millions in passive revenue.
Boooom 💰
LMAO @ "What in da Alabama Hillbilly hell we got going ova heah?!😅
I always load and unload my jetski by hand. its so small that its easier to just pull it up and push it off
Its a wonder more.people aren't hurt
That duck boat is the last thing id expect to see out there.
People just go cruising or scoping out the place for future endeavors. He has a big boat too 😊
People need to leave their pets at home!
18:03 No safety chain? If that strap snaps when pulling boat/trailer out.... the boat could land ON the ramp. Then you're really phooked.
Hahayuppp
Might have some of these ppl. Trying, lol , to park motorhomes & / or 5th wheels .
