Removing the premix pump from my 1974 Yamaha DT25 motorcycle. This was a common modification to save weight back in the 1970s. Also found a little surprise when I got the engine cleaned up
Mistake!!!on racing bikes delete pump cable and set pump on lowest setting . On long downhills compression braking the engine gets no fuel or oil and can seize.. I set up my Dt2 with a Rt1 360 crank . Really pulled out of corners but it needed a bigger carb . Don't be tempted to go bigger than a 34 mm carb on that 250 .

Do you have a link to the block off plate you ordered? I’m having trouble finding the correct one. Thanks
I think it was this one: www.ebay.ca/itm/154441504621
What is the oil ratio of the engine
I use 40 to 1, I’ve heard others use 30:1, or 50:1, so it’s not critical to be exact but something in that range
Did you change anything on the carb.
@@bmf3634 nope, it’s all I think factory spec and seems to work fine, of course I rebuilt it but no changes so really just cleaning it out.
