- This is pt.2 in the series of rebuilding a wrecked 2006 Ski-doo Snowmobile. In this episode do a much needed power wash on the sled and start disassembly of the front end to rectify the damage done to the front subframe.

Don't worry, more ranger content is coming very soon. I am just involved in getting this sled back up and going so my buddy has something to ride when he comes to visit. In the process of picking up all the material for my camper topper build. Any suggestions on what you want to see for ranger content, please let me know Brendan. I am thinking of pulling the trigger on a coilover conversion kit. Thanks for watching.

@@brendan1055 Oh absolutely, should be relatively straight forward, the only issue is that the explorers with the 5.0s were awd, so you would have to changed your trans and Tcase to do it right. You could probably just get an adapter plate for your trans if you have a manual, but if you have an auto the gearing would be a bit strange. I don't have a place to do such a swap at this point in my life, maybe if I go home for a couple months. Or heck... maybe if its warm enough, ill do it in a parking lot... that would be something lol
@@DoinitwithDoug I was looking on some forms and some people said since I have a 2wd ranger 2002 I should just drop a 1993 or earlier mustang 5.0 engine in I would have to change up the engine mounts a little bit but they make it seem straight forward after that since mine is a manual I would just have to get the engine and the trans and the wiring harness from the mustang and that should be pretty well done after that they said the stock rear end should be able to handle it. I don’t know a lot of thinking and asking questions will be asked before pulling the trigger on that project but as a 16 year old kid who love wrenching on cars definitely would be a fun project to do for a winter time project.

Let it be ugly, if it works and measures right, why bother putting extra work into it? The wrap sounds sick, plan on doing anything color related with the tunnel?
The wrap I ordered ended up being total crap and unusable so its just getting ripped for now until spring and maybe ill try again lol I would like to get that powdercoated just cause im worried that my boot would tear the wrap. You know?

I just hammered it until it was straight ish lol You can get brace kits that hold it together.
