  • I'll show you the flat out easiest way to set up alignment on a sled front suspension. I finish up the front suspension rebuild and then I start from scratch on the alignment.

As always, great video for us guys that don't know nearly this much. I've dabbled with some front-end work in the last couple of years, so I followed what you're doing fairly well. Your way is better than anything I did, even though I got the results I wanted. Going forward, I can be smarter and more efficient now!
Sled is coming along great and I'm sure hoping I can make it to ERX this year. I'd really like to see her close up!

Thanks Kenneth! It would be great to meet you at Triple Wars. I'll be interviewing people about their sleds like last year. Hoping to interview some viewers.

Hey Nutter! Gotta get everyone on board with the beer crack! Lol. Once again lots of great tips in your videos👍 You must have been a Polaris guy forever to know all this stuff?
600 is looking good! How about the chromed front and rear bumpers, are you leaving them that way or changing to the factory black?
    Cheers 🍻

Thanks Rob. I had a 69 colt when I was a kid and my Grandpa had a colt and charger, but I really only got into the Polaris sleds about 15 years ago when I picked up an XLT. I'm leaving the chrome. I like a dressed up sled. I'm even contemplating a period looking pin stripe job but I don't have anyone lined up to do it so it might not happen.

In the description, why 7psi for the lever rad cap? Is that stock? I’m rebuilding an 85 600 and the cap on it was 18-22 psi…I’m planning on buying a new one and want to get the correct pressure rating.

I was told that these sleds came with a 7psi lever lock radiator cap when they were new, but it's not like I have any documentation to back that up. It's just what a friend told me he remembers from back in the day. They run pretty cool, so I have always used a 7PSI cap with no issues. Seems to be more than enough pressure. 18-22 psi seems excessive. I've see a lot of people running 14psi or 16psi and it seems to be fine.

Google Dr Marios vintage Polaris Parts. I don't know if he has one or not, but it's the first place to check.
