Love the videos! Working on an 84’ Indy trail my self. Also from the forest lake MN area 🤘🏻
Very cool!
Exciting video! Keep it up eh 👍
Thank you! Will do!
Hey Nutter! Once again I think I know a lot about Polaris Indy’s but I always learn something new from you! Keep the videos coming!
You are so right about the front ends, they are a total pain in the butt🙄. So convenient that Polaris left so much room to get the top shock bolt out 🤦🏻♂️. I’ve had some that I literally could not get the bolt out of because the chassis must have been moved slightly.
Too bad about those round trailing arms, they’re pretty hard to find in black, 83 only. Even the 80-82 blue ones are kinda scarce 😬
Cheers 🍻
Thanks for the comments Rob! I have been lucky that I could find 2 good sets of round trailing arms. One set is for this sled :) Parts are arriving daily for the front suspension rebuild.
Love these videos! Getting ready to replace a blown front shock on an XLT. Any idea what the name of the tool is you used for the upper bolt? Also, have heard of guys using a hole saw to cut through the pan to allow access to the upper bold from under the hood, then covering with foil tape. Obviously not ideal, but have you ever tried it?
I call it a swivel socket wrench. They are not super common but I think Amazon and ebay both have those wrenches. Extra 12s had the holes you are talking about from the factory and they came with plastic plugs. I've never done it myself, but if push came to shove I'd drill a round hole and use a rubber or plastic plug.
