A better way to look at it would be…if Arsenal were missing Saliba and Odegaard for 2 and a half months through injury, Gabriel and Rice for 3 weeks through suspension at the same time as missing Odegaard and Saliba, and then Saka, Rice and let’s say Martinelli for a month, all happening in the period between early November and mid February, would they be sitting on the same number of points as Spurs currently sit, or would they be further back?
Nobody is denying Arsenal have had injured players, every team has. But nobody has had the sheer depth of starting players missing through injury and to a lesser extent suspension than Spurs, Newcastle and Brentford this season.

Martinellis missed a few games to injury, Jesus is constantly out injured, Saka’s been playing through injury for ages. Tomiyasu is constantly in and out injured. We had Zinchenko out injured for a while. Our squad players like Vieira, Smith Rowe and Nelson have all had long term injuries too meaning we haven’t been able to rotate as much

I generally keep away from watching sp*rs but from what I've actually seen I'd start Son over Martinelli. He does seem to have some bad days this season, not like two seasons ago but I think his current form ceiling is higher.

we are clear of spurs in defence, midfield and attack.
They think ange is doing well but look at the arsenal squad arteta took over and compare it today. There's only a couple players left, that squad was so so bad after years of mismanagement.
Spurs squad is the 4th best in the league and they are 5th. They are underachieving compared to their squad quality. we were overperforming our squad quality.
Even the first year arteta got 8th when he came in we were bottom half of the table man, he steadied the ship. The second 8th our team was so bad we shouldn't have been in the top half of the table, the squad was even in a worse place as we started getting rid of dead wood and ended up super thin. But at the end of that season you could see real improvement and we ended up only 1 point of 4th in his second full season in charge.
he's only got a season and a half to win his first english trophy and be competing at the top for the title or he's done worse with a much better starting point.
I don't think many people would expect that to happen over the next 2 seasons. we'll see. He's already taken longer than arteta to win his first trophy, we shall see.
How would you say that Arsenal is at its peak and Tottenham has more room to improve when Arsenal is parading an average age which is younger with higher potential than Tottenham, is that not delusion. Let's take the core players. Your best player this season (son) is 31 yrs., and Saka is 22 with room to grow and improve. Romero & VV are not better and don't have as much potential as Saliba & Gabriel. Bissouma is 27 & Rice is 25 who is arguably in the top 3 no 6 in Europe right now. There is nowhere in this world that Maddison who is 27yrs and can't guarantee you 30 games in a season is better than Odegaard who is 25 who is not injury prone, one of the most creative players in the league behind KDB & maybe Bruno, and he still has the potential to be much better. Mind you, players like Partey, Jorginho, Cedric, Eleny, who are above 30 are likely to leave in the summer cos Arsenal would not extend their contract, and players like Eddie & Nelson would be sold, which means Arsenal would recruit younger talent more in the summer. So y'all should go rest, Arsenal is not stopping anytime soon.
Also not taking into account the conveyor belt of talent from the hale end academy coming through as well

Im an Arsenal supporter, but also try to be relalistic as possible. I do think spurs have a good team for sure. Granted, i do think injuries has robbed you of some points...but you also got very lucky with your win againest liverpool, due to the circumstances surrounding that game. Regardless of that, a combined 11 of Arsenal and Spurs should have more Arsenal players in it. Thats not to say that Spurs starting 11 isnt good enough in all positions, but availability is the biggest attribute any player can have. If a player has had injuries or disapline issues, compared to someone who is always available, its always going to be a harder arguement for them. Like Van der ven, quality player, but injury has stopped him from having a full season and the same for Maddison.
I also think doing a combined 11 is always a tricky one, as it depends on how the team plays/sets up.
In the future when you have Spurs fans on, let Kate be the main person to talk as she is actually willing to be unbiased and say things as they are...
