@@Dean-vn8tnwhich is an issue in itself, because there is little to no way in those 15 days to have match fitness in a game situation compared to the clubs you are playing. You can be fit from training but you can’t play anyone at a comparative level to keep that sharpness up.
It is an issue that could have been avoided had those making the fixture list had more sense from the off. Newcastle, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, City, all in a tight space in terms of match days knowing that all those teams could go far in Europe/cup competitions created an avoidable situation. Had they spaced it out more, even if it meant having a North London derby or a London derby in general when Spurs had players missing through injury or international duties, would have made more sense.
@christianbrienesse well that's just not true, if you've got 15 days off, your club could set up a behind closed doors friendly to keep match fitness. Yeah it's not competitive but having the excuse of not being match fit isn't an excuse. There's options available to you as a club

They probably do have a better starting XI but let me posit you this. Let’s say the same missing player situation happened to Arsenal that did Spurs- taking the situation at face value i.e. “every team has injuries” is not a counter argument here.
Let’s say early November in the same match Arsenal lose Saliba and Odegaard through injury until mid January, whilst also losing Gabriel and White to 3 weeks suspensions. Then come January, Arsenal gain back Odegaard and Saliba but lose Saka, Rice and Partey for a month…can you honestly say Arsenal would still be top of the table right now? Or would they be in a similar position and points total as Spurs now?
It’s not an excuse, but you do have to consider how Spurs were playing teams off the park up until losing most of the spine of their team against Chelsea.

Kulusevski not going down is a sign of a player who doesnt want to cheat. Arsenal players in general is falling to easy in the box, they look for a penalty more often than others which is cheating in my eyes. Kulu could have fallen and get a VAR check which would have prevented the counter attack that gave Saka the chance to score 2-0. I would say it would have been 50/50 if it was a penalty or not but i think Kulu at least deserved a check now that VAR exist. Either use the system or scrap it all together and let onfield referees make the decisions. It is not fair to the sport to have it both ways because it creates mor disputable situations than it should. I am happy that Sweden turned down VAR because of the fans not wanting it.
