This was the reality check I've been waiting for. This is also why i can never debate a spurs fan seriously and still consider utd to be our main rivals.
Banter and everything aside, so far Spurs haven't won a game against a big 6 side. Granted most of the games were away from home, but the Liverpool game should've been a statement since it was a home game. But they lost regardless. If they can't beat a big 6 side, how do they think they can win a trophy?
Winning all the other games they should win will keep them in it. That’s always been Spurs issue, losing to bottom half of table clubs. Last year we did well against other top teams overall, so I think we thought we’d do good against them again this year. By good I mean winning half with some draws, no one’s winning all of them, already shown this year.
I don’t know if or when Spurs do hit that peak they reached last year, Conte last few titles were from strong 2nd half season runs. But forget Tottenham for a second and think what league looked like last November or after 16 games After this weekend.
