The key is not to have the full beard, always the moustache had to be longer, so people's can notice it l shave all my beard & live the bushy long bigotaso!

My moustache is a bit like the Manchu I trim the middle above the lip and grow the ends long they naturally go downward. Thanks I need wax to curl the ends.

Nice video. I have really long mustache. Do you recommend trimming the upper lip? It's hard to keep those hairs up. They get in the way when I'm eating.

Thanks for the video. COVID shut downs have made want to grow out my facial hair ans I have a good beard ans stache length. However my mustache just looks messy a lot of the time ans there’s always strays. Didn’t know about using a hair dryer and will get some wax.

Folks with black and dark brown hair are so lucky, even a couple days of stubble looks like a full beard, having a blond hair and beard is a real pain I have to grow it really long to be able to see it.

Gave up on the beard life...time and time again I tried to grow it out but I keep getting seborrhea on my moustache and chin area, and no product seems to work as it keeps coming back soon after. I don't get this problem when shaved so I guess that's how it's meant to be...tough luck.

@@flagg_entertainment I did see one when I first got the problem a couple years ago. They just gave me a steroid cream. Definitely wasn't for me, especially if I had facial hair, and I just didn't wanna use it long term since I heard of skin thinning after continued use. While it worked for my head, I tried seborrhea shampoo once, but shampoo is too hard and drying for facial skin, and didn't wanna ruin my skin either. I used other products that would temporarily relieve the problem, but it would always come back. Doesn't help that my facial hair is like barb wire either.

@VidsAreCool4U Sorry to hear that you couldn’t find a suitable solution. Hopefully, something will work out for you.
There's really just two styles shown here:
1. The handlebar. The "English" as he calls it is obviously just a handlebar you don't twirl up as much, NOT a proper English mustache, which is extremely trim, with the philtrum (notch below the nose center) kept FREE of hair, in the style of David Niven, or Humphrey Bogart at times.
2. The horseshoe, a.k.a., biker mustache, which he calls both the "Old West" and the "Cowboy" (isn't it rather obvious even the names are the same? Kinda like saying "the Navy look" and "the Sailor look"). Sometimes called the YMCA look, after that band's famous leatherman, Glenn Hughes.
One of the things I hate about these videos (nothing against Carlos personally, he looks cool AF, but it's a growing trend) is the "I'm gonna make up my own names for what people already call certain styles, simply bc I don't want to take a second to see if this has already been done before 2020" mentality. Mustaches have been around forever, there's OBVIOUSLY a wealth of history long-established with what to call them. The term "Horseshoe mustache" has been around for over a century. It has it's own fan base, it's own Wiki page, etc. By teaching new mustache wearers your own made-up names ("Old West"), or WORSE, calls one certain style a DIFFERENT style from what the world up until now knows (the "English" mustache), it really dilutes the clarity of the topic. New guys will go into a barbershop using these made-up labels, and barbers will have to try and figure out , "OK is this guy describing a Handlebar, a Horseshoe, or a Walrus mustache?" (the Walrus mustache, incidentally, is the type worn by Ned Flanders, Nick Offerman, Tom Selleck). If you launch CZcams videos claiming to know what you're doing on ANY topic, PLEASE Google things forst to ensure to don't set a million viewers off in the wrong direction with your Fake News... let's Make America Smart Again! :D
TK1138 Totally agree, but I thought Ned Flanders, Nick Offerman, and Tom Selleck wore the chevron mustache, while David Crosby and Theodore Roosevelt wore the walrus. Close, but slightly different. (I guess Nick Offerman’s was debatable.) The horseshoe mustache is different than the one Carlos shows here. The horseshoe was worn by Hulk Hogan-it is unshaven down the sides to the chin. Carlos is showing us more of a fu manchu look here, shaved at the corners of the mouth, but allowed to grow long at the ends. 🤷🏻♂️

Nice look but man oh man WAY too much time and effort. I have a yeard and handlebar stache and from the moment I get up, shower, brush my teeth, do my hair, stache, beard is rarely over 10 minutes! I just don't get the concept of a guy taking this much time to get ready. Again nice look but who has the time?
