It does get a little wild at times I have to admit. And I do grow a beard once in awhile and definitely do the 5 o’clock shadow most days. You can see it for yourself in my videos. I have had a few guys tell me they want to grow one like mine but are afraid of criticism. I basically tell them to man up and grow a pair.

    Started growing my mustache September 1973 @ the age of 19 & I have never shaved it off. I would grow it for a week or two & shave it, since I wasn’t sure if I had enough growth to have a thick mustache. An older man that I worked with convinced me to let it grow for a longer period of time, telling me that the follicles needed to droop down to make it thicken. About two months later I had a great looking Chevron mustache, inspired by Mark Spitz the 1972 Olympian. Later, Turned out looking as thick as Larry Csonka’s mustache. Now @ 65, it’s gray like Greg Berzinsky’s.

    I’m considering and I think slowly persuading myself to grow a moustache. I’ve had a full beard for most of the past twelve or thirteen years and recently adopted the Balbo style but now thinking about a moustache. I’ve never had one before so feel like I want to try it. The guy in my profile photo is a distant relative from Ireland.

    I've had a moustache and short beard for a long time. But it was always so thick in height and grew much faster than my beard, for November I decided to grow it out... best decision ever, I now have a full handlebar moustache, currently wider than the width of my face, it's so much hassle to maintain but I have got nothing but compliments, I love it

    On the first point, of only growing about a centimeter a month (which for many would actually be rather fast), I've been growing my moustache for like 6.5 years now. XD
    Now, I'm only 23, and my facial hair has actually only started to really kick in for a few months now.
    In my teens I only had to shave/trim (as I'm not growing a full beard, only a thin - but long - beard along with my moustache)
    about once every two weeks. Now I have to do it multiple times a week to keep it in mint shape, as I can visually see my stubble grow out in a matter of only a day now.
    But still, even if you have some nice facial hair growth going on, it'll still take some patience. Don't be discouraged though, it's like a work in progress. Enjoy the journey a bit.

    Thanks to you and all the Beardbrand bros, I have managed to make it to the 4 month mark with a full beard.

    I know im late to this party on this video, but to anyone who wants a moustache and is too afraid to grow one, just do it. Im 28, I have had a moustache in some form for the better part of the last 10 years, and for the last few years ONLY a moustache because Im a firefighter now. If its the criticism your worried about, first of all just stop worrying because who cares what anyone thinks. But more importantly, the only people in my experience who crack jokes are your friends. (one of my friends does call me Jeff Foxworthy from time to time lol) I dont think I have had even one time where a random stranger criticized my stache. Even if they did I wouldnt care but be you, thats the point.

    Damn right I'm rocking a mustache and of handlebar variety, been doing so for years and I would never dare shave it off. I tried going for a large beard to accompany it in the last year but I found it wasn't letting the stash shine and pop the way I wanted so I went back to a short beard in the holidays. It was an interesting experiment but in the end I am a man of mustache and it so happens my fiancee likes that look better anyway.

    • @stephenshelton4267
      @stephenshelton4267 Před 2 lety +1

      Honestly it's not balls, it's the fact that a mustache seems so incomplete, and that's why they're typically grown with a soul patch or a beardstache.
      IMHO if you want to grow a solo stache it needs to be big and impressive, and Eric's as seen here is not.

    My beard is lackluster about my cheeks and jaw (think Joe Dirt) but i can grow a respectable goatee, and a quite magnificent moustache if i do say so myself. Decided to highlight my attributes and lose the chin whiskers as well. Solely sporting a full 70's stash. I appreciate the tips moving foward.
